In order to preserve placement for a female dependent, one resource parent is in need of clothing for the dependent in her care. The child was placed with a relative on an emergency placement and she does not have sufficient clothing for the growing dependent in her care. Currently, the dependent has approximately 4-5 outfits. At this time the current care provider for the child does not have the funds to buy the female dependent clothing as it was an unexpected emergency placement. The female dependent in her care is currently a small/medium in women clothing (please connect with care provider for the dependents size in bottoms). Child welfare services appreciate any donations that can be made to help preserve the relative placement.

We are seeking a donation of a dining table with four chairs for a single mother of three children. The family currently does not have a designated space to share meals together. The mother expressed her desire to create a place where she and her children can sit down, eat, and spend time together as a family. Any gently used or new table and chairs would be greatly appreciated and would make a meaningful difference in helping this family strengthen their connection and daily routine.

We are looking for a new or gently used tablet to support a motivated young woman as she takes an exciting step toward building a brighter future. She has recently enrolled in a local cosmetology school and is set to being classes on 6/30/25. The program follows a hybrid learning model, with one day each week dedicated to online course work - making access to a table essential for her success. As a single mother living on a fixed income, it has been challenging for her to budget to purchase a table. I am currently assisting a mother who is caring for her one-year-old and newborn child. This mother has a total of ten children and previously lost custody of eight due to a long history of substance misuse. She began using methamphetamines at the age of 14 and experienced chronic homelessness for many years. However, this mother has made significant strides in turning her life around. She has been clean and sober for the past two years and has had no new referrals or child welfare involvement since the birth of her one-year-old in 2023. During this time, she has resided at the Navigation Center and women’s shelters while working closely with the CSET Housing Program. Through her hard work and commitment to stability, she recently secured permanent housing and received the keys to her new apartment in Lindsay on May 30, 2025. This is a rare and commendable case of a mother overcoming significant barriers and achieving sustained sobriety and stability. Any support provided to her would be met with immense gratitude and would greatly contribute to her ongoing success and the well-being of her children. Thank you for your consideration and support. Because of her past housing instability, the mother has very limited resources and is in urgent need of essential household items. She is seeking assistance with the following (new/used): A couch, a highchair, a bed for herself, dressers, a TV, sheets for the children’s beds, pillows, cleaning supplies, newborn necessities, clothing.

This family is requesting assistance with dump truck or dump trailer services. They have lived in their home for many years, and as a result have accumulated many belongings. They are in need of clearing unused items from inside and outside the home. Due to the many items, the family is struggling with a pest infestation. Your support in clearing their home of unused belonging will help them initiate the process to treat the secondary issues they are also facing. The household consists of 2 adults. The first is the primary caretaker of three children in the home and is not able to work at this time. The second is a young adult that is navigating life after high school graduation. As a result, income is limited, and they are not able to afford the cost of dump truck or dump trailer services. Your aid in addressing this issue for the family will help a child remain in a relative foster care placement and keep a family together.

I have a youth on my caseload who is currently in a relative foster care placement, who he is with his 4 siblings in care. The foster parent's home is a rental, and their AC unit has gone down for the past three weeks. It was reported that they have not addressed the AC issues due to the challenges in the home which involved one of the youth's siblings going through some episodes due to their mental health. In addition, one of the foster parents has been in recovery due to a surgery. This worker is asking for support to help the family with portable AC units to help keep the home cool during the summer.

Due to the home being a rental, I do not know if CarePortal could provide support in servicing the ac unit and if that is an option, please let me know.

The foster parent reported that the landlord will be sending someone to check the AC unit, however, foster parent is requesting assistance in portable ac units for the mean time because they do not know how long it will take to be fixed.

We are reaching out on behalf of a young couple with an 8-month-old baby who recently moved to Tulare County. They’ve been financially stable until now, with the father working full-time to support the family. Unfortunately, he recently lost his prescription eyeglasses, which are essential due to his impaired vision. Without them, he’s unable to return to work. His employer is kindly holding his position, but the delay in returning to work has put the family in a difficult spot. They’re now struggling to cover $600 in basic monthly bills, and more urgently, they are concerned about losing their housing. Their rent is $1,500 a month, and with limited resources, they are at risk of falling behind. This father is eager to get back to work as soon as he can replace his glasses. Any support to help cover the rent or essential bills would mean the world to this young family. Your generosity can help them stay housed, stay afloat, and get back on track. Mom is requesting a new or used refrigerator and dryer for a family of 9. Mom is a single mother who has limited income and is unable to purchase these items on her own. Mom has been working hard to maintain complaint with CWS services. Mom has been able to navigate through the Child welfare system and services with such success that she is now in family maintenance. Unfortunately, mom's refrigerator seal is damaged and is no longer able to keep foods frozen and struggling to keep foods cold. Mom is doing her best to keep food from spoiling but is in desperate need of a replacement as soon as possible. Mom's dryer has also unfortunately stopped working, and to is asking for support with a used dryer if possible. If any support is available for one or both items, it would be greatly appreciated.

A single mother who has recently been granted unsupervised/overnight visits with her children needs help fixing her vehicle to be able to provide transportation. One child is temporarily moving to Oregon and the mother will be transporting the child half way every weekend. The mother stated that her check engine light is on and will not pass smog in order to obtain her registration. The mother stated that her vehicle is now sputtering when she starts it and she does not have the funds to have a diagnostic test done or to repair her vehicle. The mother has exhausted all resources available to her. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I am currently working with a child (12 years old) who just graduated from the 6th grade and will be going into middle school next year. The child was placed into foster care last month and is doing great in her placement. Despite the child's personal challenges, the child is looking forward to joining the Military Academy in the fall and was accepted into their program. The child currently struggles with reading, and it was recommended that she read a lot over the summer to prepare herself for middle school. The child shared that she enjoys reading Harry Potter and would really love to have the books. I am hoping to find someone who can purchase the set of Harry Potter books for her- new or used!

Mother and father are currently in the process of reunify with their one year old child. Both parents have made great progress in their services and have been working non stop to get a rental home. As of recent, the family was able to secure a rental home and are in need of a bed. Eventually the agency is looking to move forward with overnight visits for the family. Any size of bed/mattress would be of great help to them. The family is also requesting a refrigerator

A single mother who is actively looking for work is in need of diapers and wipes for her 1 year old daughter. The child wears size 3 in diapers. The mother stated there is not a preferred brand of diapers or wipes. The mother also reported that the ac unit went out in the apartment she is renting a room in.
