This Grandmother raised her Granddaughter since she was 2 yrs old, she became a nurse and is now married with 2 babies. She has been in my support group for 16 years. and has done an amazing job. Unfraternally On Monday her daughter passed away of Cancer and she now needs to raise her two grandsons 9 and 14 both with autism, she needs a Full-size bed for the 14-yr old, and a sofa set for family use and where she can sleep since she has to give up her bedroom for the boys. This placement will be informal. So, there will not be any financial assistance for the boys. With the funeral expenses she is very strapped. And she is on SSI.

The caregiver/maternal aunt recently obtained legal guardianship of the children after the tragic loss of their mother, following a murder-suicide committed by the younger child's father. The caregiver has expressed that the children are in need of clothing and shoes, as well as bunkbed in order for the children to have their own space in her home. These items will not bring their mother back, but it will assist with the healing process and ensuring the children are comfortable in their new normal.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a resilient young man currently navigating life as a Non-Minor Dependent (NMD), working hard to build a future for himself in the trades. Despite limited resources, he shows up every day, borrowing tools from co-workers just to get the job done. This dependence, though met with kindness, leaves him vulnerable and often unable to work independently. With a basic set of tools of his own, he would gain not only the ability to fully perform his duties but also a sense of pride, stability, and ownership in his growing career. Your support would not just provide equipment—it would empower a young man striving to stand on his own feet.

To assist the family in need of keeping the home organized and walkways clear in case of emergencies. Mother is a single mother caring for 2 minor children (one of which has autism) and two adult siblings also live in the home (one of which is also autistic). Parties share a two-bedroom home and although mother is able to provide for basic necessities, she does not have funds for dressers, so laundry currently has to be stored in piles on the ground. It is also difficult to maintain the cleanliness of the clothes when being stored on the floor. This is a safety concern as it limits walkway space and there are several people who need to get around including two people with delays.

Reportedly, mother and father are currently experiencing financial hardships, and are in need of three twin sized beds or one bunkbed and one twin for the children, ages 13,10 and 8. Neither father nor mother are currently working, and the family cannot allocate funds towards a suitable bed for the children at the moment. The family is also in need of dressers for the children as their current dressers are falling apart.

Mother of a 7-month-old Babygirl suffered an accident. As a result, she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Mother has not been working since the accident and has been living on her savings and donations from her co-workers. Currently, Mother is running out of money and needs assistance paying her car payment and a highchair for Babygirl. Mother uses her car on a daily basis to take the child to frequent doctor appointments. Car payment-494.17

I am requesting assistance for a 42 year old father who has 4 dependents, although they don't live together at the moment, they depend on him monetarily; 2 children ages 15 and 16. The father's 65 year old mother depends on him for her medications. The father's 19 year old son, who is having difficulty finding employment due to his disability - lost his right arm at the age of 14. The father lost his construction work tools in the California wildfires and is seeking assistance in replacing them, the cost is quite high, but he will be grateful for any assistance, he stated that he would just like to be able to get back to work, to be able to sustain his family. We are trying to assist the father to purchase much needed tools to be able to work and keep supporting his family.

I have a family who is struggling financially and are unable to get a crib for the 5 months old boy. The parents are dealing with unexpected expenses related to a very expensive surgery that the 5 years old needs to have as soon as possible due to a medical diagnosis. The parents are hopeful to be able to overcome the current struggles they are facing financially to be able to continue providing safe environment for the children to thrive. Currently the parents are co-sleeping with the 5-month-old, and are in need of a crib, mattress, and sheets so that the baby can sleep independently. The parents are not able to afford purchasing a crib at this time. Providing these basic necessities would diminish the emotional stressors on the family. By fulfilling this request, it would help the Department reduce the family's financial burden and help prevent court involvement and ensure family stability.

However, he has not been able to work much lately due to all the immigration enforcement currently going on in the city. The mother and father are also financially supporting the mother’s 16 years old daughter who has a 7-month-old baby of her own that also resides in the home. Currently, the mother and father are co-sleeping with the one-year-old child. The family is in need of a crib for the one-year-old to sleep independently. Providing these basic necessities would diminish the emotional stressors on the family. By fulfilling this request, it would help the Department reduce the family's financial burden and help prevent court involvement and ensure family stability.

On 6/9/25, child (age 8) started her conditioning for her bone morrow transplant with radiation for 4 days straight and then the transplant was conducted on 6/14/25. Also, sibling, child, (age 4) bone morrow will be extracted for the transplant. Last month, Mother car was repossessed, and mother used the RENT money to get the car back and now the families rent is overdue, and the family received a three-day pay or quit notice. Mother is not working in order to be with child daily at the hospital. Gas is costly, while mother goes back and forth from the hospital to home during day and at night to be with her other 3 children. Mother is the only adult in the home and the only provider.

This youth is a client of Regional Center living independently for the first time in his life. This youth has faced tremendous challenges, including the death of his mother a few years ago, and his father's paralysis. He has been in the system for many years, but he has finally managed to earn his high school diploma and obtain housing. He is currently searching for employment and working on removing barriers in his life to do so.

This youth needs support with basic household necessities, including toiletries, bath mats, and curtains.

The referred family is requesting assistance obtaining a dining table and baby stroller. The single mother of four children is the sole provider of for the family and needs a little help making the home as comfortable as possible for her children. She is seeking assistance with obtaining a stroller and dining table for the family. The family would appreciate any help and want to explore all the options to make their children as comfortable as possible at home.
