We are requesting a motel night for 2 more nights. The mother and small child are waiting on an opening at a shelter or for the alleged perp to be moved from the shared residence. We thought this would happen today, but it is not going to move as fast as we wanted. Shelters have been contacted and waiting on an opening or approval. The mother and child could use a gas card and some food either taken to them or by way of gift card to price chopper or hyvee.

Dad is having trouble finding a job as a felon. The mother left the baby and he is trying to remain connected with the baby. He needs and wants to visit everyday but not having money for gas is making it hard for him to visit. He wants to keep a strong bond with his daughter. He is needing gas cards to help him go see his daughter more.

A courageous mother of three is preparing to move into a home she will one day own through a rent-to-own opportunity, a dream she’s worked hard to make a reality. Over the past few years, we've had the honor of walking alongside her and witnessing powerful moments of growth. She is nearing one year of sobriety, has bravely left a domestic violence situation, and has fought to get the support her children need to thrive. Now, she’s taking the next step toward stability - securing a home where she can plant roots and truly take ownership! However, the home needs a lot of work. Demolition, paint, cabinets, flooring, and more. It’s not move-in ready, and we can’t do this alone. We need the community’s help to turn this space into a safe, welcoming home for her and her children. This is more than just a renovation. It’s a chance to invest in someone who is becoming a leader in her community - someone committed to walking with and supporting other families on their journeys. Let’s come together and help build a strong foundation for this incredible mom and her kids. With your help, we can turn this house into a place of healing, hope, and long-term flourishing!

Family is getting evicted from home and need a place to stay until their new home gets inspected. Family can stay at mosque but need a place to store big items. Family either needs money for storage or someone willing to store their big items.

A biological dad is at risk of being evicted from his home. He does not currently have transportation to get to and from work. This is causing for his Uber expenses to take over his extra funds. His apartment complex told him he has until Monday to get his rent caught up or he will be evicted. Getting this need met will help him keep his home for him and his children.

Single mom who recently split with her ex due to a domestic violence situation. When her ex left the home, he took her washer and dryer. Mom has 3 kids under the age of 5 in the home and is struggling to afford to go to the laundry mat to wash and dry clothes. Mom is in need of a washer and an electric dryer. Mom reports that she has the hoses for the washer and the vent hose for the dryer. Gently used washer and dryer would be greatly appreciated.

Family with six children is struggling financially, specifically with their city utility bill. They are behind, and have not been able to catch back up. They are requesting funds to cover the cost of this bill, which will get them caught up.

On July 31, 2025 there will be a Back to School Fair at Platte County Health Department. Our goal is to provide low-income students and families of Platte County an equal and safe opportunity for school readiness by enriching physical, mental, and social well-being.
In 2024, 885 children were provided with backpacks, hygiene packets, eye screenings, dental screenings, sports physicals, vaccines, and access to community resources.
Unfortunalety, our partner who has supplied hygiene kits previously is no longer able to fill the need. Our goal is still to be able to provide hygiene kits. Our ask is for 50 bottles of 12-16 ounce bottles of shampoo.

This is a family with a child with special needs in a Temporary Alternative Placement Agreement. The child is currently with her grandmother and the grandmother has to move from her current home and downsize. She is struggling to come up with the needed money for a deposit.

Fulfilling this request will help keep a grandmother and a special needs child close together while her father continues inpatient treatment. The girl is extremely bonded with her grandmother and is truly thriving with her and as her worker I want to do everything I can to help them stay together and keep them in stable housing. If this need is met, the grandmother will be able to meet ongoing months' rent and sustain housing.

A mother whom currently resides in Clay county has lost custody of her children and they are currently in Children's Division care and custody. The mother was residing with the father in their home; however, one day he never returned from "work" and had taken their only working vehicle, most of the money in their accounts, the mother's methadone, and left the mother in the home with past due bills. The mother could greatly benefit from assistance with paying her past due bills so that she can at least have another month or so in her home until a better situation is located for her. The home is way past due on mortgage, I believe she stated 3 payments are past due and we are worried about the home being foreclosed on and mom becoming homeless because of this.

Mother is currently needing help due to recent injury at work and getting paid less. She is concerned about her son stealing the marijuana she is using to assist her medically and that is causing major tension in the household. Mother has asked to see if we can help get her a medical lock box for her personal belongings.

Mom is in need of a new carpet and some new furniture. Mom has tried to clean up the carpet, but every time she attempts to clean it, it still get messy. Mom is wanting to get rid of it entirely, but doesn't have the funds. Mom also lacks some furniture in the home and could use help getting a couch or two.
