A single young female parent has three children who are not school aged. The female has been having a difficult time getting a job. The mom is asking for a booster seat for the 3 year old female child. The mom is in the process of losing her housing. The booster seat can be dropped off at the Children's Division office.

A young mother of 3 small children (ages 5mos, 1yo, and 2yo) is working towards reunification. She has two jobs, just got a car, and is making steady progress in the juvenile case. Mother resides in an apartment in Cape Girardeau and only has one small window (not very efficient) unit in her home. I was at the apartment last week and it was very warm. I am requesting two window units for the family to be able to have air conditioning in the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A mom who is living separate from the children's father is needing a vehicle to get to her appointments and visit with the children. She is currently looking for employment, attending treatment and visiting with the children. There are three children aged 5, 3, and a baby. The children are placed with family in the St. Louis area so visits have been hard to depend on others to help with transportation.

The mother of three children recently reached out to the Children's Division for assistance with her bills. Dad was recently incarcerated, and due to this incident, Mom lost her job as well. She has been working with the CD Prevention Worker and the Juvenile Officer. Mom has never asked for help with bills from the Juvenile office or CD Prevention. Mom was referred to several programs, including EDGE through Community Partnership, CCC YBHL, EMAA, the School, and food pantries in Bollinger County. Mom has checked with Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, EMAA, and Community Partnership, all of which have stated that they are currently out of funding to help. Mom has applied for new jobs and is waiting for background checks to come in (which she should pass). This job offers better pay and benefits than she has ever had before. At this time, the family does not know how long Dad will be incarcerated. The family is at risk of losing both their mobile home and the camper they are living in. To keep the remaining family members together and mitigate any trauma caused by the father's incarceration, CD is requesting the following payments for the family: $700 for lot rent (covering 2 months) and $520 for camper payment (covering 2 months). These payments will bring the mother up to date.
This will help mom and children stay together.

Husband will be incarcerated for the foreseeable future (several years), mom will be able to keep up with payments etc if the past due amounts get paid.

A family is looking for help in completing their new home. This family has a child in care and has the goal of that child going back home shortly. They are looking for help to tie their home and family together as they reunite with their child. They are looking for help in obtaining a washing machine and a dryer. Helping this family obtain these items will assist in their efforts to make their home welcoming and complete with the feelings of cleanliness. We thank you for the consideration.

I have three children that have recently had to be removed from their foster placement and was unable to take their bikes with them. The ages are 12 female, 10 male, and 9 male. Their foster placement cannot afford to purchase 3 bikes at this time and I would love to fulfill this wish the kids have to be able to stay active this summer. These kids would really appreciate and value these bikes.
