The biological mother of a child that has been placed in foster care has been evicted from her apartment. This mother is living in her van until something else is figured out. She has had difficulties getting approved for SNAP and is in need of some help with non-perishable items to keep in her van. I am requesting a $100 Wal-Mart gift card so that she can buy some food.

The mother is in need of assistance. The mother is working hard to try and support her 3 children (triplets) and keep her family together. The mother needs assistance with diapers and clothing items for the triplets. They just turned 6 months old. The children are size 2 diapers and 6 months and up in clothing. This request would assist the mother because the mother is challenged with being the only round the clock caregiver and has no other family in Colorado other than 5 year old son and husband. A gift card to a place where she can purchase these items would be great, or donation of these actual items. Thank you so much.

This is a family of two kinship caregivers and their three grandkids (4, 7, and 9). The grandparents also care for two other grandchildren outside of DHS care, so they have their hands full (and their hearts as well!). Finances are tights, and the kids are growing quickly. These funds will be used to cover essential expenses such as driving lessons, permit fees, and practice time, giving him the opportunity to gain the skills and independence he needs. Your support would make a meaningful difference in helping him reach this important milestone.

A mother of 3 children, two boys and a girl, has been completing her probation in Georgia. She has recently become homeless and due to loss of employment and safety concerns, she no longer has anywhere to stay. Her sister, who lives in NJ, has offered to have mom come out there to stay with her for a few weeks so she can help her get a plan in place to either stay there or return to Colorado, where her children are. Parents ages 52 and 44 years old have stated that they need financial support to obtain bus tickets to be able to have family time with their daughter in Denver Colorado. Parents have stated that they do not have enough SSI income to meet the need of purchasing bus tickets. Parents have stated that it is either bus tickets or their next meal. Their 8 year old daughter enjoys spending time with parents and seeing them once per week.

Hello, I am requesting a Visa gift card of $100-$200 (+activation fee) to cover the cost of ongoing weekly visitations for 2 teenage girls and their father who is currently detained. The girls are in the care of a family friend and having the added expense of $7.50 per 30 minute visit two-to three times a week is quickly adding up. A donation toward these this cost will ease the burden on the caregiver while maintaining the parent-child relationship. Thank you!

This mother has been working hard and is making great progress. She signed into a voluntary DHS program. She is on a fixed income due to disabilities. Even with that, she has started a part time job. The issue is that she doesn't have a lot of clothing. She was in an unsafe living situation and was able to save and move to her own apartment. But much of her belongings were left and she no longer has access to get them. This mother is open to any and all help. She is open to used clothing, to doing a thrift store trip, or a Walmart gift card. She is hopeful for any and all help, but we would like to try and get 4 shirts, 1 sweatpants, 2 jeans, one pair of black pants (black jeans preferred), a pack of black socks, and a pack of underwear. I'm estimating $200 new at Walmart, but can do thrift or used.
