We are seeking assistance to provide routers for the single mothers in our maternity home. Access to reliable internet is essential for our moms to complete parenting classes, conduct job searches, and connect to vital resources that support their journey toward stability and independence. With internet access, these women will have the tools they need to: participate in online parenting and life skills classes, apply for jobs and prepare for interviews, and access critical resources, including housing applications, educational opportunities, and telehealth services. My client is a single mom of 5 children. She is involved with CPS due to an assault against two of her children and against herself. Mo is trying to take care of everything by herself. She was working at an internship and going to school. The internship is over, and she was not hired on. Mo chose to protect her children and keep them safe and the person that was helping her with the bills is no longer in the home.
Mo needs help with the electricity bill. The electricity bill is $323.98. When this need is met the children will be able to continue to live in a home that is cool as the hot Texas summer approaches. I have the privilege of working alongside a resilient and courageous client—a single mother of four, with her youngest just 5 months old. Over the past year, I’ve witnessed her endure an overwhelming number of hardships. During her pregnancy, she experienced homelessness, living out of her car while tirelessly seeking shelter, all without success.

Through her determination, she was eventually able to secure stable housing. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident of domestic violence involving the father of her children—who had been her only source of financial support—she is now facing eviction for nonpayment of rent. On top of this, she recently lost her car, which has made it impossible for her to work and maintain financial stability.

She has been reaching out to shelters for over a month, with no success. Thankfully, she has finally found a temporary place to stay that could offer her and her children some stability. However, she needs to come up with a $500 deposit to secure it.

Any support, no matter the size, would be deeply appreciated. It will not only help her secure safe housing but also mark a crucial first step in rebuilding a stable and hopeful future for her and her children.

Despite diligently researching and securing the lowest possible price, the total cost remains around $2,000. She is working hard to save $1,000 on her own but needs help raising the remaining half. This dental care is vital not only for her health—addressing pain and preventing further complications—but also for her ability to care for her baby. With restored oral health, she will be better equipped to eat properly, maintain her energy, and focus on building a brighter future for herself and her child. This support will provide her with the opportunity to thrive as a mother and role model for her baby.

This family is a single parent low-income household with two intellectually and developmentally disabled children that need constant care and attention from the parent. Mother is unable to have a full-time job to have the financial ability to provide the adequate furniture that is needed in the home. Mother does not have a lot of support from the community and the school has not been favorable of the mother which limits her access to resources. Medical care for the children is expensive and she pays for it out of pocket and her family helps her financially to pay the bills for the home.

The child is 15yo in 9th grade. The family moved from Irving to Dallas and He was no longer able to get to school in Irving. The local school in Dallas requires uniforms with the school logo and the mother is unable to afford. The child is in men sizes.
