In order to place a foster child in a kinship home they would need assistance with food. The kinship home has been living alone and on a fixed income they are able and willing to take placement but due to financial circumstances would need assistance with food and snacks. We would be so greatful to have support in making this kinship placement happen. Thank you for any help available!

A kinship foster family lost all their food in their refrigerator when their electric went off during a storm a few days ago. The foster home is in dire need of replacement food due to not getting paid for a few weeks and they have not received a foster care stipend and will not for a few weeks. Foster mother stated she would be glad to provide a list of groceries needed and appreciates any help in this matter.

Foster parent is providing respite care for a sibling to the child placed in her home beginning on Friday. She is hoping that if things go well to offer placement for the sibling in her home as well. She is requesting a full size futon mattress for the bunk bed she already has for the child to have a bed of his own. If a mattress can not be found, she would be open to financial assistance to obtain a mattress herself. She is hopeful that she may be able to bring these siblings together and provide placement for them both.

Please help a mother who has fled an unsafe situation. The mother is in need of assistance getting one of her children's birth certificate. The mother desperately need the child's birth certificate for housing. Thank you.

The kinship foster home consists of foster mom and another adult in the home and has recently taken placement of a 15 yo child. The foster parent is needing a dresser for the 15 yo child. The kinship foster mother has provided a bed and other necessities for the child however they cannot afford at this time to buy a dresser for the teen. The teen is keeping her clothing in totes at the moment. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Foster family is in need of assistance with their gas bill. The foster family is not yet receiving their monthly assistance and they went from a household of 2 to 5 with 1 income at this time. The family needs 200 dollars to help offset some bills for the month such as the gas bill.

The Department currently has an open CPS investigation on this family due to mom's mental health. Mom is actively seeking mental health treatment, and both mom and dad are demonstrating adequate protective capacities. The dad had to quit his job to be home with the mom in order to care for her, and the family is struggling financially. The family's home was affected by the recent tornado and their home lost power, and all of their food went bad. When their power was restored, their refrigerator appeared to have shorted and is no longer functioning. The family has very limited groceries and has no way of keeping their food frozen/refrigerated now. There are 4 children under the age of 8 living in the home.

Mother and dad of newborn have been living in their car for 14 months. Baby is now 2 months old. They both work and pay car payments but cannot afford to get established in an apartment or home. Baby is growing and they are in desperate need to have a different living situation for their family. They have been sleeping in a classroom on the floor of our church 3 nights a week, for this past month and the church cannot sustain this arrangement indefinitely. They are very polite, hardworking, clean and cooperative. We have prayed about this and believe a camper would be the best goal for them at this time. They can afford an RV park with utilities and start to get a lead on a permanent residence.

I have a 13-year-old female client who is in need of a few pairs of underwear! She previously received some from an answered Care Portal request but has now outgrown them! She is in need of size 10 women's boxer briefs and would be very grateful for any assistance received for this need!

I am working a prevention case to prevent removal of 4 children from a single mother who lives with maternal grandmother and grandfather. Their electric is a prepaid account and is in danger of being shut off due to depleted funds. We are in need of funds to replenish their account. The family just bought food with their food stamps and is in jeopardy of the food ruining if the electric is shut off.
