A teenage youth who is transition home from our shelter who needs new hygiene supplies and a new pair of shoes. After couple years, he is reunifying back with his family and his family is struggling financially. We are asking $200 VISA gift card for him to get new hygiene supplies and shoes.

I am working with a mother who recently fled an unsafe relationship/partner violence, to prioritize and protect herself, and her children. This mother recently entered a shelter and is starting from scratch as she left most of her items behind. I'm reaching out for assistance on some basic needs items, while I work with her to connect her to resources in our community that she can utilize moving forward. Single mother to 3-year-old boy, who is weeks away from reunification with her child has recently found herself in a financial bind after someone crashed into and totaled her vehicle. Mother had to recently quit her job that was three towns away from her home because she had no vehicle to get to and from work. She has recently applied to multiple jobs near her home where she can walk or hopefully soon ride a bike. In the meantime, while waiting to start a new job, she has fallen behind on some of her bills and the financial stress is worrying her, especially since her son is due to return to her full-time care within the next few weeks. She could use the help paying one month of her rent and one month of her cell phone bill, which will soon be turned off. She will need her phone to communicate with potential employers. She is also hoping for a bike to use as transportation and a bike with a child seat would be ideal. Child's daycare is close enough to ride a bike to and from. Since having to quit her job, she has applied for CalFresh/Food Stamps but still waiting for the approval process, so she could use some groceries or grocery gift cards until that comes through.

There is a 14 year old youth who loves Pokemon and connects to his peers through this game! His behaviors at his placement and at school are improving and he would love a tablet of some sort to play this game and connect with his peers! We want to encourage this positive behavior and something like an Amazon Fire 10 tablet would be a great, and a case to protect it! This youth will be so excited when he gets a tablet!

A family of 5 just got reunified back together after many months being separated. They are needing some support in getting to and from the laundry mat. They're needing a gas card for transportation and a VISA gift card for laundry supplies.

We are requesting a clothing gift card that a mother can use to buy her 3-year old clothes and shoes. The parents of this child recently had a change in the child's physical custody arrangement, and she's living solely with mom, who didn't get her daughters belongings in the exchange. They live in Petaluma and mom is driving back and forth to Santa Rosa, so a gas card would be very helpful too! Thank you!

We're working with a single mom of 5 children. This family is grieving after recently suffering the loss of two family members. One of her children, her 9 year old son, is struggling with his grief. Mom is focusing on bettering his mental health, and understandably is being affected financially. We're hoping to help this mom with groceries and are asking for grocery store gift cards. Thank you!

This request is to support a transitional age youth to receive a new or refurbished cell phone. He is twenty years old, living independently, and working towards securing employment. His cell phone screen is cracked, misfunctions, and is close to being completely broken. If he is able to receive this help and get a fully functioning cell phone, he will be able to stay connected with his support network and social worker, further increasing his safety. He will also be able to apply for more job opportunities and hear back from potential employers.

This request is to pay for vehicle registration renewal for a mother receiving family reunification services for her six-year-old daughter. The registration renewal is due at the end of March. The mother entered inpatient at the beginning of the dependency case, graduated from the program, and began an outpatient program. She is enrolled in Dependency Drug Court and attends several AA meetings weekly. The mother works as a food delivery driver, requiring an up-to-date vehicle registration. At her most recent review hearing, the court authorized a trial home visit to begin sometime in the next six months. The mother began once a week over night visits and was approved to provide transportation to and from these overnight visits.

This request would help the mother continue participating in her substance recovery and be able to work. It would also allow her to continue providing transportation to and from overnight visits. Furthermore, it would create potential for the mother to begin transporting her daughter to and from school, medical appointments, and social events. The mother is on a good track for family reunification and this would increase the potential for reunification.
