Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
Help a Student Start 9th Grade Strong A local student entering 9th grade has faced many challenges: academic struggles, behavioral concerns, and a recent ADHD diagnosis that finally brought answers. His single mother, raising six children, has worked tirelessly through doctor visits, school meetings, and daily hardships to get him the support he needs. He’ll be starting medication soon to help him succeed, but he also urgently needs glasses to see clearly in class. We’re asking for a $200 pledge to cover an eye exam and frames through our discounted partner on Atlanta’s Upper Westside. Your support can make a life changing difference for his education. Thank you for standing with our students.

The client is a 46-year-old grandmother who has taken on the responsibility of raising her 6-year-old granddaughter. She stepped in to care for the child because her daughter is unable to do so. The client works outside the home and was able to identify a summer camp for her granddaughter. When the child was placed in her care, she arrived with little to no belongings, not even a toy to call her own. The client is struggling to pay her bills and rent on a minimum wage income. To meet her granddaughter’s basic needs, the client has been relying on food pantries and local community agencies. She is currently seeking assistance with clothing and bedding for the child. The client is open to receiving gently used items in the following sizes: Girl clothing—youth size 12; shoes—youth size 1.5. Any support offered to this family would go a long way in helping provide stability and comfort for this young girl.

Help Make a Kinship Placement
This is a second request on behalf of a young adult in our program who is also a former foster youth. Nearly two years ago, she took custody of her sister’s baby directly from the hospital. Just a few days ago, her sister gave birth again—and she now has custody of that newborn as well.
We submitted an emergency request a couple of weeks ago to ensure she had a car seat to bring the new baby home safely. Now that she has the baby with her, she’s been able to reflect on additional needs and has requested a stroller. This would be especially helpful, as she does not have a vehicle and relies on walking and public transportation to get around.
Additionally, she was recently involved in a car accident, which has prevented her from working and created further financial strain. Any support in helping her meet this immediate need would be greatly appreciated.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
We are reaching out on behalf of a mother who spent three months in a shelter at Restoration House and previously lived in unsafe conditions. The mother has secured a house through Atlanta Housing, but owes a large deposit. In the meantime, her and her two children are currently living with her sister because she does not have the money for the deposit. Living with a disability and unable to work, she needs $850 to move into her new home. She wants to remain in the area because she relies on the essential support provided by Agape. Donations are being accepted through the Agape website, and all funds will go directly to the landlord through a check issued by Agape. Any help would be deeply appreciated as they navigate this difficult period.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
We are reaching out in help for a first grade female student who is in need of clothing for the summer. Her dad is single, and recently stopped working and has 2 other children, but can not support them all. The student is experiencing the need for hair ties, a hairbrush, bathing suit, tops, pants, shorts, and any other everyday wear. She likes clothes that fit her well, as opposed to oversized. We can create a target wish list, and the items can be shipped to Agape, where we will then ensure she goes home with each clothing item, or we accept donations through the Agape Youth and Family website. Any help would be deeply appreciated as they navigate this difficult period.
