Family is getting evicted from home and need a place to stay until their new home gets inspected. Family can stay at mosque but need a place to store big items. Family either needs money for storage or someone willing to store their big items.

A biological dad is at risk of being evicted from his home. He does not currently have transportation to get to and from work. This is causing for his Uber expenses to take over his extra funds. His apartment complex told him he has until Monday to get his rent caught up or he will be evicted. Getting this need met will help him keep his home for him and his children.

Good afternoon. I am requesting community assistance to help a older youth on my caseload with paying her home's utility bills. The youth in question is 18 and is in State's Custody as a foster youth. She was living with her uncle in an apartment in Independence, MO but unfortunately, her uncle recently died leaving her with no money or resources. My youth was on the lease with her uncle and has to take over the utility bills and rent. She is currently only working part time minimum wage and does not have a permit or driver's license. She has very little money saved and has even less family support. We are requesting $200 either cash/check to help her with paying for next month's utility bills to get her through the next month until more services can be put in place to further support her in this time of need. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a mother who is working hard to create a safe and nurturing home for her young child. She is in need of a few essential items to help furnish her space and support her child's development. Specifically, she is looking for a toddler bed, a small dresser, a kid-sized table and chairs set (for meals and activities). If you have any of these items gently used and or new at no cost to the mother, your generosity would mean a great deal to this family. Transportation is needed for these items. Single mom who recently split with her ex due to a domestic violence situation. When her ex left the home, he took her washer and dryer. Mom has 3 kids under the age of 5 in the home and is struggling to afford to go to the laundry mat to wash and dry clothes. Mom is in need of a washer and an electric dryer. Mom reports that she has the hoses for the washer and the vent hose for the dryer. Gently used washer and dryer would be greatly appreciated.

One child in care and her baby are placed in a kinship placement. The kinship placement is needing assistance with her water bill. She has a past due payment of $134.24; but the whole bill together is $335.40. Any assistance in paying the water bill would greatly help this family. The placement provider is having a difficult time with all the additional expenses this child and her baby are bringing

This family is looking for help to assist in covering legal fees to help waive previous warrants to ensure they are able to apply for low-income housing. The family is currently living doubled up with another family and are seeking urgent assistance in helping come up with $1,000 to try and cover their legal fees. This would help the mother, clear her past warrants, which would help her ensure she can apply for housing and not have anything preventing her from getting on the list. This family has worked very hard at doing all the tasks necessary to ensure they can reunify. The family is on steady progress to have overnight visitation, if they can obtain housing that is safe and appropriate for the baby. Therefore, the couple is urgently needing help in supplying $1,000 for their legal fees to be able to dissolve all warrants attached to their names, allowing them to apply for housing. Clothing Support Needed for Children in a Caregiving Home

A local family is caring for three children with significant emotional and behavioral needs, while also navigating an incredibly difficult personal season—including the recent loss of a close family member and the anticipated passing of another loved one. Amidst the grief and daily challenges, they are doing their best to provide stability and care.

Summer shorts and shirts in girls’ size 10/12 — stretchy waistbands or adjustable fits are ideal. She loves fun, bright, girly styles and would be thrilled by anything colorful or floral. Female youth who wears a size medium in women's and size 6 in women's shoe who is also in need of tops, shorts and shoes.

Children's division is working with a family with two kids that are 2 and under. The 2-year-old is medically fragile, and wheelchair bound with a lot of medical equipment. The home has a roach infestation and needs to be thoroughly cleaned in order for the child to be able to stay on the home. The family is working on cleaning it but has asked for help with getting the roaches taken care of and a 10-yard dumpster. This family really needs the additional help in order to be able to stay in the home for the child and his high needs. Also, any resources for getting a wheelchair ramp built would be appreciated.

This is a family with a child with special needs in a Temporary Alternative Placement Agreement. The child is currently with her grandmother and the grandmother has to move from her current home and downsize. She is struggling to come up with the needed money for a deposit.

Fulfilling this request will help keep a grandmother and a special needs child close together while her father continues inpatient treatment. The girl is extremely bonded with her grandmother and is truly thriving with her and as her worker I want to do everything I can to help them stay together and keep them in stable housing. If this need is met, the grandmother will be able to meet ongoing months' rent and sustain housing.

The mother in this case is doing really well and is starting to get more visitation/overnight visits with her son. The mother has a bassinet and pack'n'play for the baby but could really benefit from a crib as the child grows bigger.
