A single mother of four children is currently experiencing unstable housing and has been moving between hotel rooms. Due to the cost of the rooms, they are short for one night. The mother and her children have been in their car throughout the day. Assistance is urgently needed for one night to avoid having them sleep in their car until the mother receives her paycheck. Reportedly, mother and father are currently experiencing financial hardships, and are in need of three twin sized beds or one bunkbed and one twin for the children, ages 13,10 and 8. Neither father nor mother are currently working, and the family cannot allocate funds towards a suitable bed for the children at the moment. The family is also in need of dressers for the children as their current dressers are falling apart.

A brave grandmother and grandfather need help caring for their granddaughter. They lost everything in the Eaton Fire and are still trying to resettle. Their granddaughter has been sleeping on the couch, and they really want to give her the security of having her own bed. They need a frame, mattress, and all bedding. And they really need wrap around support as they continue to fight for their family. Can you help them?

Maternal aunt and uncle recently took in their 6 year old niece. She came from a home infested with bed bugs and could not bring any clothes or personal items. Family has purchased as many things as they are able with no financial assistance yet. They could use clothes for the child (sizes below) as well as gift card for food and clothes. Please help preserve this kinship placement with 2 out of the 4 children which are placed with their great Aunt. The children are ages 2 & 6 and are having a hard time eating solid foods and was directed by medical professionals to start to blend the children food due to internal health concerns. The family is requesting a blender and help make the children smoothies. The family has also requested help with stimulating the children learning and has asked for any educational help. Things like flash cards, puzzles, books and educational toys. Both children are Autistic, and the family asked for help with sensory toys that can help the children in any way possible and help with gas back and forth to their numerous appointments. The family is also in the process of potty training the 2-year-old and has asked for help with a potty chair and pull ups. We are working with a client who is a mom of 8, needing assistance with her car. Grace Mobile Repair has assessed the car and determined that the fuel pressure sensor needs repaired. The total amount includes the part, as well as the labor. This single mom is trying to keep her job, as well as provide for her kids. Her only mode of transportation is vital for this family. They are also battling some housing insecurity, so stable transportation would be a big win for this family.

A mother and her eight children are in need of two booster seats for children aged 5 and 6. They are victims of severe physical abuse and domestic violence, are now safe, but do need booster seats at this time. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

OKDHS is working a prevention case with a young mother of 4 children. This mother has no safe or appropriate family support and has been struggling with the cost of getting her kids to daycare so she can work. She must have the 3 younger kids in daycare but she has used all her money getting rides to the daycare. She has a ride to get them home but she has to Uber herself and the kids there in the morning. She does not get paid until Friday and she needs the kids to be in daycare until then to keep them safe and to provide them with adequate supervision while she works. We are asking for help providing this mom the means to get her kids to daycare for the rest of the week. Thank you for considering this extremely urgent need! This young single mom has no support and has been working hard to provide everything for her kids herself and needs some support.

A single mother is trying to reunify with her son and just started working in Riverside county. She originally lost her income when the child was removed, as she was receiving SSI for the child's special needs. Due to the child's complex needs the only foster home found was far from mother's current home address. She is also facing an eviction and financial struggles with taking food or clothing items for her child during her visits. She was able to purchase a very inexpensive used car from a friend with payments from her new job. She has already spent her first worked income on basic necessities and getting the car smogged and registered. The car now needs tires to be able to be driven safely. By assisting the mother with the purchase of the tires, it will allow her to maintain her new job, prevent her from being evicted, allo wher to continue completing her court orders and allow her to meet the foster parent half way for more visits with her son to help her reunify with him. This family needs a bus pass to make it to their family visitations to see their 4 daughters weekly. Both mom and dad only transportation currently is by bus and the family is requesting help. The family also is requesting help with a bus pass to maintain their current employment. If you would not mind providing help with 2 bus passes for this family, they will greatly appreciate it. We are working alongside a single mother who is disabled and raising two younger children - a 7 month-old baby boy who has asthma and a 2-year-old toddler as well. They are currently living in a duplex that does not have heating or air conditioning. As summer temperatures are rising, the home becomes very hot and uncomfortable for the family and the little ones. The family has tried opening the windows and it does not help the situation.

The infant has asthma symptoms that are aggravated by the heat, and she has no alternative way to cool down her home. We've reached out to the family's medical insurance to see what support and services they could provide, and they could not provide any at this time. This mother is urgently in need of a portable air conditioner to help make a difference in keeping the kiddos cool. If you know of any programs within the Fort Scott, KS area that we could connect her to or if you could be so kind to donate even a tiny bit of financial assistance to help her get this, we would appreciate it. This need could also help with reunifying her child that is already in Foster Care.

The mother on this case is a young mother. She is currently living with her grandparents and is working two part time jobs. Trying to save to get a place for her and her 1 year old son. She is a very motivated young women who has has some struggles and could use some extra help. She does provide for the basic needs of her son and tries to save but with a growing child she has been having a hard time.
