Help One Child - Contra Costa

We have a single mother with 2 children in need of rent assistance.
She recently disclosed being rear ended in her car, only to get a rental car and another unfortunate event took place. She has had to dip in to her retirement to make rent payments this month.

This woman takes care of so many other children and families in the Bayview-Hunters Point. Turntable has begun a journey of ministry and discipleship with this mother, and this would really help her family stay afloat & also really bless her in a tangible way.

I'm reaching out on behalf of an 18-year-old homeless woman who is doing everything she can to care for her 3-year-old daughter and rebuild her life. She recently started working and is actively seeking stable housing and daycare for her child.

Right now, she desperately needs help paying for her cell phone. Her phone is her only way to stay in contact with potential employers, daycare providers, housing resources, and emergency services. Without it, she risks losing the progress she's worked so hard to make.

We're asking for help to cover her phone bill so she can stay connected and safe during this critical time. Every little bit counts. If you can donate or share this with others who might be able to help, it would make a huge difference in her life and her daughter's.

I’m reaching out on behalf of a young woman, approximately 18 years old, who is in urgent need of immediate housing support. She has a 3-year-old daughter and is currently living in her car. The location where she has been parking is no longer safe, and she is extremely scared and overwhelmed.

She has been actively working toward stability—engaging with resources and following all recommended steps—but is currently in a waiting period for more permanent support. Unfortunately, she has no safe place to go right now, and we are very concerned for her and her child’s safety and well-being.

We are hoping to secure emergency funding for a hotel stay while she awaits placement in a shelter or transitional housing program. Even a few nights of safe, stable shelter would make a critical difference during this time.

Young man is in need of some support for his car, as the fuses and wiring for his turn signals have gone and this is preventing him from driving his car. He needs his car for independence to work, church events and empowering his own success.

He also needs a trusted mechanic cost assessment and service.

This will help him get on track for his work goals, mental health resources, and will empower him.

The mother needs a stroller to be more independent and move around with her children. She was a victim of domestic violence, and she left most of her belongings at the perpetrator's home. She has no stroller. She is staying with her parents. However, her father has threatened to kick her out of the house. She relies on her parents for rides. The mother needs support to mobilize with her children.

Young woman has finally been able to move into safe and secure housing. Some basic kitchen supplies would greatly assist her in settling in. She has realized there is more to moving in than just a bedroom and this will help her small budget go a little further

Young woman is seven months pregnant and in need of maternity pants 2 pairs of XXL

New to the pregnancy experience and with minimal guidance, she is not aware of her need This will help her have her belly supported and not exposed

Young woman also is in need of an overnight bag to pack and start getting ready for hospital. Her insight to the big picture needs help and we are trying to help her see all thatis needed.

Young woman has recently transferred back to the Bay area and got baptized last week. She is looking to grow in her walk with Jesus and reflect more now her housing is stable again. At times reading is hard due to her dyslexia, so a devotional that is not too "wordy" but still inspires her would be a huge benefit to her maturity. She desires to share her faith more with 2 other girls in Turntable, so this will help us teach her more in her 1:1 relationship with the Lord

Young woman is going on a mission trip as an extension of her walk with Jesus and personal growth. She is so excited (& nervous!!) She needs a little help with her packing list as she has been working hard to fundraise for her goal.

This will be an amazing equipping for her growth and development in her Christian faith

Single mother of 2 littles needs two twin mattresses for a bunk bed that she already has supplies for. Older child's current mattress is broken.

Younger child co-sleeps with mother, whos box spring and mattress are currently broken.

Supplying the Twin Mattresses will allow the children to have bunkbeds and no longer have to sleep on a broken bed.

Supplying the mother with a mattress and box spring will allow her to save resources to provide for her children as a single mother and allow her younger child to sleep in a bed that is not completely broken.

Young woman has revealed she has been sleeping on the floor and is in need of a bed frame.

We are working with a single mother of two small children ages four and one. This family has just moved into a new apartment and relocated to a better community. The mother is working on making the space feel more like a home. The family has very limited belongings and needs assistance with getting beds and household items. It would make a difference daily and mean a lot to them to have this help.
