We have two children, ages 5 and 6, that sadly had to come into foster care yesterday. There is a relative that the children are very bonded with that are able to take the kids but do not have beds for them and do not have the financial means to buy two beds. We are requesting two beds (toddler or twin) or one full bed that the kids can share. This will allow the children to be able to live with their family member that they are bonded with and to limit their trauma from having to go to a foster home that is unknown to them

Kinship Foster Placement of 3 children need assistance with repairing an older air conditioning unit. One repair mechanic offered to charge for $350. If it can not be repaired will purchase a window unit to assist with keeping these 3 children in the care of family. It is imperative to assist these children that are victims of domestic violence stay in a place that is secure and as close to home as they can.

DFCS is in need of urgent assistance tomorrow morning at 00:00. We are in need of roundtrip transportation from Cumming to CHOA tomorrow and back. Please note it will be a mother and child. We are requesting an UBER card that can be delivered today.

A report was made to Forsyth Co DFCS regarding a 6 month old baby boy suffering from a skull fracture. Forensic interviews are needed for his siblings, but the mother does not have transportation and does not have the funding for Uber transportation. We are asking for Uber cards to get the family to the interviews.

Grandma and grandpa are taking care of their grandson (13) while the department works with the mother to improve her current state. Grandpa has been blind for 10 years and cannot collect disability, nor can he work. Grandma collects disability and the family lives off of this income. The grandparents need some assistance with funding for food while they are caring for their growing (and very hungry) 13 year old grandchild.

17 year old male in the custody of Cherokee County DFCS is badly in need of academic tutoring sessions. He needs tutoring over the summer to improve his basic reading, comprehension and spelling ability. He wants to apply for college or technical school after graduation from high school in 2026 but is barely reading on a middle school level. I'd love to help him improve his skills so he can look at furthering his education after he graduates.

Dawson County is working with an 11-year old youth who just entered foster care. He has not experienced three placements in a short period of time, and came from a place of little to no supervision or oversight, with substantial neglect. This kiddo stole another youth's Air Jordans as he was leaving the previous placement. We have since intercepted the shoes to return them to their rightful owner, but the team believes it would be gesture of goodwill and show this child that all he needs to do is reach out and ask, rather than to take. He has not had nice things, and being in foster care is a stigmatizing experience. We would love to be able to give this kid a pair of Nikes of his own, but do not have the ability to do so. The shoes were Nike Air Jordan Comfort Low. I can share more specifics about the shoes if someone is able to help make this middle schooler's shoe dreams come true!

I am currently working with a single mother whose son is diagnosed with autism. He frequently elopes from the home despite the mother's attempts at installing latches on the doors, etc. I believe this family would greatly benefit from fingerprint door locks. Is there anyone willing and able to assist with obtaining 3 of these locks? And possibly also install them?

We have a momma who is very close to getting overnight visitation with her children, and hopefully reuniting with her children in the coming months. One of her boys has significant allergies, and this mother is asking for help obtaining 1-2 air purifiers in preparation for his return home. If anyone has a gently used one that they no longer need, this would go to a good home. Momma asking these questions shows that she is thinking ahead and planning, and asking herself the right questions. She works very hard, and has a full schedule of services. Gifting her one of these would be a blessing in that it is an expense she would not have to come out of pocket for. She is an employed and single mother.

Dawson County mom's home is in need of 123 sq ft of flooring for a bathroom or laundry room. There are two children in foster care (11 and 13) and this request is an essential part of getting this mom's home approved to be able to have the kids come to the home and eventually reunify in the home.
