Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing

This is a family who comes together and helps each other out. Grandparents are providing a safe home for their daughter who is suffering from mental health issues that requires extensive treatment (psychosis) and has an eight month old baby that the grandparents are now taking care of due to their daughter's condition, who all live in the home. The grandparents are disabled and on public benefits. The family also has WIC but the baby drinks a lot of formula and they end up paying out of pocket. The families food stamps and social security benefits do not cover diapers which are expensive. The family is also trying to get summer clothing for the eight month old as well. The family could use help with formula, diapers, and summer clothing/shoes for the eight (almost 9 month old) if possible. The baby takes Enfamil NeuroPro Care formula, size 4 diapers, and 9-12 month clothing with 9 month size shoe. Bigger clothing sizes are welcome as well to grow into! Thank you!!

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing

A mom of a 9 year old and 4 month old is in need of your support. After welcoming a new baby into her family this last February, this woman has faced some unexpected challenges. Her newborn baby has had many medical challenges, requiring endless doctors' visits and facing many unknowns. This mama has taken it all in stride, but this hardship is wearing on her family physically, emotionally, and financially. This woman and her husband left most of their support system in their home country a year ago, and are navigating these stressors primarily on their own. They are in need of a travel system to help support the recovery, safety, and wellbeing of their newborn son. Having this item covered would help to lift some of this mother's burden in caring for her family. Thank you in advance for showing this mother and her family the faithful provision of God through His family! Travel System link: Go To Link

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing

Father and his partner are taking care of his high-needs son fulltime. The nine-year-old has autism and a 2nd tier learning disability, ADHD, and had craniosynostosis as a baby, which required surgery at eight months old. His school reports that he has excelled since transferring at the start of the last school year (his previous school had informed them that he was non-verbal, which turned out to not be the case). It was reported that he loves being at school, and he has made a lot of progress academically. It was also reported that he often comes to school in the same or unwashed clothes. His father is trying to make that easier for his child to improve his experience at school, but it is difficult without a washer and dryer hooked up in their apartment. Father does not drive and is currently between jobs, so getting laundry completed can be a struggle. Father has stated that he does not need new appliances.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement

This family has continued to be a strong and healthy placement for the kids. There have been multiple struggles they have faced while being the protective caregivers. They continue to put the kid's safety first as the bio parents continue to not complete their treatment plan, speak negatively about them, struggle with substances, and make unannounced visits that have led to the family needing to put up security cameras and take extra measures to ensure safety. Kinship placement is very busy family and hope to involve the kids in more activities this summer that they have never been exposed to. They are asking for some assistance with groceries and snacks for some summer fun!

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement

This family has been working with the Department for a few months. Mom has been doing everything she needs to help her get back on track, but she has suffered some medical issues including vomiting spells, nerve issues with her back, and extreme fatigue. She continues to make all of her appointments despite her discomfort but now faces houses struggles when her apartment fell through, she lost her job and is worried about being homeless now. Upon meeting with her, she had very little food and was not eating consistently due to her struggles. This mom continues to work hard despite all of her setbacks but could use help with groceries for this month as she scrambles for a new home.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing

I am working with a family who has an extremely high need 11-year-old who is a recent victim of sexual abuse. Typically, siblings or family would be able to watch the child during the summertime but for safety reasons they are now unable to do so. The adults are both working at this time and are unable to care for the child during the day and now are looking to send him to a summer camp. However, the daycare/summer camp that can care appropriately meet his needs for his behaviors costs $220 a week and is too much of a financial burden for this family, even with both adults working. I am hoping that some individuals would perhaps be willing to help this family cover the cost of a week of the summer camp to reduce the financial stress this situation is putting on the family and so both adults are able to keep their current employment.

Help Preserve a Kinship Placement

A three year old was placed with paternal grandmother almost two years ago. The child's father is often homeless, incarcerated or unable to be located and his mother struggles with substance use. Grandmother works two jobs while also raising her own minor child. Grandmother does not receive any financial assistance from either parent or the Department and reports she is struggling with groceries. She has been provided resources for food banks but is often working when food banks are open. Requesting assistance with groceries.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family

This family consists of a single mom with three children. The mother is a survivor of domestic violence and has struggled significantly with rebuilding her life after the separation with father of the children. This mother is struggling with her mental health and is unable to work at this time and also has no child care for her two kids that are not school age. She is requesting assistance with summer clothing for the children. This will alleviate financial pressures that she is facing and to be able to divert these funds to more pressing matter.

Help Prevent a Child From Entering Foster Care

This family has been working with the Department for almost a year, there has been a recent change in living circumstances due to new information brought to the Department. Mom has been the protective for this case but is now facing multiple financial struggles that include her car breaking down, the family is down to one income which has caused them to file bankruptcy and they are struggling to keep consistent groceries in the home. The family is asking for $200 visa gift card to help cover groceries and some snacks for the kids.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing

I am working with a teenager who's foster placement was recently disrupted due to the foster parents getting divorced. The teenager is currently in a respite location but does not have all of her belongings including underwear, pajamas, and school-appropriate attire. There have been several meetings between myself and the foster family to retrieve items, however the youth still indicates she is missing many of her clothing items. I am request giftcards to take the youth shopping to get her provisions needed for her day-to-day life while staying at the respite while other foster options are looked into and investigated.

Giftcards to anywhere would be great (Walmart, Old Navy, Target, Visa, etc.)

Help Reunify a Bio Family

I have an eight year old male who is in kinship placement. His parents have both been working hard to address safety concerns and work towards reunification. Mom has been in her own apartment since about February of 2025 and dad will be moving into his own apartment next week (parents are separated). With the anticipated return home, parents will need a bed for their son. I am seeking support in providing a twin bed (one for each house hold) so this is one less item they need to worry about.

Help Preserve a Foster Care Placement

I am working with three kiddos who are 4 (male), 3 (female), and 11 mo. (male). In May, they were removed from their home and placed into foster care. The initial foster home they were placed in was not able to meet their needs, so a week later, they had to move again. When the kids were placed in their current home, they did not have much with them. Foster mom reported that the clothing they had does not fit and a lot of the baby items are old, dirty, and had to be thrown away. The two older children are high needs as they struggle with behavioral issues, speech delays, and regulation challenges. The youngest has a brain injury that requires ongoing care. We want to support them and the foster parents as much as possible to help with stability and structure. In speaking with foster parents, they would benefit from some additional support in buying new and useable items for the kids.
