This Mom of 5 has been working our program for a few months. We have secured housing for her and her children. THey will be able to move into their new home in another 9 days. We are assisting a devoted mother of four who is facing extreme hardship. For over two years, she has been stuck in a painful divorce with no court date, leaving her emotionally and financially drained.

She cares for her two youngest children and is now behind $1,150 in rent, with a monthly payment of $2,300. Her electricity bill is overdue by $152.78, and she’s struggling to pay for car insurance, her only means of transportation for her children.

Due to court restrictions, she cannot leave her 14-year-old alone or bring her to work. The father, who shares custody, refuses to help or allow flexibility. As a result, she lost her job. She now delivers for Instacart but faces challenges due to lack of childcare. She is also a survivor of domestic violence, with an open legal case. Despite everything, she actively engages with our agency’s programs and visits our food pantry weekly. This mother is resilient but overwhelmed. She urgently needs help to avoid eviction and keep her family safe.

The client currently resides with the father of her baby, their 6-month-old baby, and 17-year-old twins who have developmental delays. Due to complications during her pregnancy, the client was unable to work and fell behind on rent payments, which ultimately led to her eviction from her previous residence. She gave birth prematurely and continues to suffer from high blood pressure, which has delayed her ability to return to work. She is awaiting an appointment with a cardiologist next month to be medically cleared. Following the eviction, the client moved into a friend’s home. The father of the baby had been helping with rent, but was recently laid off and is no longer able to contribute financially. The client is planning to relocate to North Florida within the next few months, where housing is more affordable. She is currently seeking rental assistance in the amount of $1,000. The client lacks a strong support system and is in urgent need of financial and social support resources.

The client is a 33-year-old single parent of three children and is currently one month postpartum. She faces significant financial challenges due to unemployment and cannot meet her ongoing financial obligations. While the client is highly motivated to seek employment, she intends to do so once her newborn is a few months old. In the interim, the client has been referred for case management services to access necessary resources. Receiving support through CarePortal's case management services will provide the client with essential resources, including a stroller to facilitate neighborhood walks, promoting physical and emotional well-being. Also, the assistance will enable the client to access virtual case management sessions by addressing resources. This support will also help alleviate some of the client's financial stress by contributing toward clothing and utility expenses. The client is behind in payment for her utility bills: internet ($100), water bill ($1,200), and electricity ($250). *****NOTE: "This request is being submitted by the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County on behalf of the client. 16 y/o girl is in care and in need of a laptop. The child previously had one, but it no longer works, and this is what the child used not only for school but to journal as a way to express herself and how she feels. The caregiver is currently juggling a lot and does not have the financial means to get the child a laptop. The laptop will be very helpful for this young girl to continue her studies.

Mom is pregnant for the 2nd time. She had a stillborn baby at 39 weeks in her first pregnancy, she is 18 weeks now. Father of the baby is not involved or supportive. Client is staying with a family friend but housing is unstable as it is not her home. Client's car broke down; something to do with the transmission. Without transportation, client is unable to make it to her prenatal care appointments, unable to look for a job or attend interviews. Client does not have any family support. Client took the car to a mechanic for diagnosis and they estimated that the piece is about $250-$300. Once client has reliable transportation, she will continue searching for a job, attend prenatal care, attend mommy and me support group classes, and continue to prepare for the arrival of her baby. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A 14-year-old child who is currently in care. She will be going into high school next year and she shared with the DCM that she would be grateful for a laptop. She does well in school and enjoys computer graphic design. She goes to the local library several times a week, but shares she is only given 45mins to an hour, due to the availability of the computers. A laptop would help with her education especially as she will enter the next phase of school. The child will be very grateful.

A single mother is currently facing the challenges of eviction while caring for her two young children. She is reaching out for support to meet their basic needs as they work toward stability and finding employment. Right now, they are in urgent need of food items such as chicken, rice, potatoes, vegetables, and fruit. Additionally, she is seeking essential clothing and shoes for her children, specifically in sizes 2T and 7, with shoe sizes 1 and 8. They also require personal hygiene items, including tissue, shower gel, paper towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, and four toothbrushes. Lastly, she is looking for bed sheets for both king and queen-sized beds. They do feel bad to ask for more, but they are also looking for a juicer to make health fruit juice drinks for her kids. If possible. But they want to prioritize the basic needs items first. Any assistance during this difficult time would be immensely appreciated.

A mother of two daughters, a three year old and an unborn was recently able to regain her freedom just in time to give birth. The mother was able to obtain housing and weekly visits with her three year old daughter. The mother is seeking some assistance with obtaining baby items ( Bed, tub, bottles, and clothes ect). These items will help the mother maintain her stability and prevent family separation. The mother is open to receiving gently used items as well

Our adoptive parent needs assistance with anu type of funds to assist with handling bills in her home or providing her daughter with services (shopping/nails/hair). Her daughter has been placed in residential care in which the mother has to pay out of pocket for. She has just had to pay $7200 to have her daughter placed in another facility to assist her with her behavioral concerns and identity concerns. Because of this, there other daughter they have who is in very close age with the daughter that is in the facility has been feeling alone and left out and she would like anything that can make her feel better while her sister gets the care she needs. This family would appreciate any type of assistance. She would love a gift certificate or gift card to Target and or a hair/nails salon.

Single working mom of one child is requesting help with paying her car note. Mom recently returned to work and needs assistance . \She has been able to make past due bills and rent along with insurance to remain compliant, but does not want car to note fall behind.
