This family in need consists of a single mother and her (4) children ages 7 months, 3 years, 6, years, and 10 years old. The family lives in a duplex within an apartment complex that has no AC. When caseworkers were in the home it was very hot; caseworkers were sweating so bad that they had sweat dripping off their faces. The children were also sweating and were wet (visibly) from sweat. The bedrooms are located upstairs, and it was much hotter up there. Although mom is a recipient of services from the local DSS, she still needs some help. Mom is requesting a total of 3 fans (2 for bedrooms, 1 for living room downstairs.)

The mother is on her own with her 5-month-old son. She has limited resources and is trying to figure out how to balance her new baby and how to get income. She is currently out of a job. Her apartment doesn't have air conditioning and must rely on a faulty window unit. She has said she can make it work with some box fans if an air conditioner is not available. Her son is growing faster than she can get clothes for and wants to try and get his next size up as he has already outgrown his current clothes. The child will need 9 month old baby boy clothes.

This request is for a convertible car seat for a child who is being cared for by it's 24 year old godmother. The mother does not provide any help or necessities for this child and is not really a part of the child's life. The godmother does the best that she can and has family that does occasionally help her support this child, however that help only goes so far. A convertible car seat will allow the godmother to transport this child safely. Thank you in advance for helping this family!

The mother has become an expedited relative foster parent for 3 children in addition to her own children. She is providing a local home for all 3 siblings to remain together. The items we are requesting are to assist her in meeting the needs of all the children in her home. Without these items she will not be able to continue to be a resource for these children! The children consist of two young girls ages 7 and 8, one 3-yr old boy and a 7-month-old baby girl. At this time these children do not have beds. The baby also needs a high chair to eat in. The relative foster parent also does not have a stroller to help transport the baby. Thank you for helping this foster parent who has graciously said yes to taking in a sibling group.

A grandmother received temporary custody of two of her grandchildren (10yr old boy and 4-yr old nonverbal autistic girl). Grandmothers' son also lives in the home with a 4-yr old autistic girl, 2-yr old boy and their mother. Grandmother also took in a 15-yr old male. Grandmother has some physical disabilities and needs some tools to look after these children. Nonverbal autistic 4-yr old recently escaped the home at night and was almost hit in traffic before being caught by a neighbor. This grandmother is doing everything she can to protect these children but needs some tools to make an environment fit for taking care of these children.

The family is also requesting 4T/5T pull ups and 4 door alarms.

The mother of four children does not work and she receives SSDI. In an effort to keep her children out of foster care she is heavily involved with our department. The family does not have a vehicle and also does not live close to markets. The mother has been trying to utilize food pantries to support her family but she does not have a way to transport food home. A folding wire shopping cart would be incredibly helpful for this mother to bring supplies and food home to her children; it would greatly impact their lives!

The family is comprised of the mother, father, 5 yr old daughter and 10-month-old son. The parents are incredibly hard working. The father has been struggling with securing steady work. They saved all of their money to get a new apartment and need help with a few things in the home. The dressers will help keep the kid's cloths organized, and the microwave will help with heating meals for the family.

This request is to support a family with a 16 year old daughter and two sons ages 7 and 5. The family has been having financial difficulty for years due to monthly payments after filing for bankruptcy. These payments have held the family back for years. Their home is very hot and their sons do not have air conditioners in their bedrooms. We are requesting fans or air conditioners to help with the wellbeing of these children. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

We are seeking support for a family where the parents are both limited mentally. The father usually works but injured himself two months ago. Due to this injury he cannot return to work until September. The family is engaged with multiple prevention services. They have a 1 yr old baby in the home who currently sleeps in a pack and play. The one year old would benefit from either a crib or toddler bed to sleep in as the pack and play is getting to be too small. During a recent home visit the home was found to be extremely warm. The family would benefit from 2 window air conditioning units to help cool the home.

This family is requesting shoes for 2 children and a dresser for storing clothes. There are two male children ages 1 1/2 and 3 and their shoe sizes are toddler 5-6 and 8. Thank you!

A father is in need of help!

Due to numerous reasons, a family recently was forced to separate. The father has left the household and is starting his life over from scratch! In order to have visitation with his daughter, he is in need of acquiring basic household items to ensure a safe visit. Any help assisting him in obtaining a twin bed with bedding for her to sleep on, dresser for her clothing, and household items for him to prepare and serve food on. He is also requesting a table and chair set, futon and a window AC unit to help make his house ready for visits.

Mom and Dad are new parents and have a beautiful 6-month-old baby girl! The family resides in a small studio apartment that does not have great ventilation and limited windows. With the recent onset of summer heat, they have struggled to keep the baby cool. The family is in need of a standing A/C unit to keep the apartment at a safe temperature for the baby. Additionally, they are in need of Enfamil A.R. formula in the pink canister, size 4 diapers and wipes for the infant. Your support will strengthen this baby's safety and wellbeing. Thank you!
