This family is in need of at least one, preferably 2, window air conditioning units. Their home does not have central AC and with the rising summer temperatures, it is becoming a hazard for the children. One of the children has asthma and the high temps are hard on his body. The family has tried reaching out to other community resources with no luck.

A devoted grandmother has recently welcomed her two young grandchildren, ages 3 and 5, into her home to provide them with the love and security every child deserves. She is doing everything she can to create a stable and nurturing environment, but she urgently needs a little help.

We are seeking support to provide either a bunk bed or two twin beds, along with two mattresses, bedding, and pull-ups in sizes 6 and 7. These essentials will give the children a comfortable place to sleep and help them feel safe and at home during this significant transition.

This is a request for a 3 months old child removed from her mother and placed in foster care. The mother is working towards reunifying with her daughter. In order for the mother to be able to do things and go places when visiting her daughter she is in need of a baby carrier for her. The child is a 3 month old girl.
The estimated value for a baby carrier is from $20 up to $60.

There is one adult and one child living in the home. 11 year old boy. Mother and child does not have a lot of familial supports within the county. She has been a single parent since the child was approximately one year old. She recently lost her employment due to her car breaking down. She was also made aware that her son was being bullied at school. Because she lost her job she was having trouble maintaining rent but has utilized community resources. During all this her washer and dryer broke adding more stress. She has recently got her car fixed and started working again, but she is still behind and is trying to catch up with bills that she does not have the extra finances to repair her washer and dryer

A devoted caregiver is seeking support for her family during a very challenging season. Her husband is battling multiple serious health conditions, including COPD, kidney cancer, and pancreatic cancer. They are doing everything they can to create a stable and supportive environment while living on a fixed income, which includes Social Security, SSI, and Child Only–OWF benefits.

With her son stepping in to help provide care and Meals on Wheels in place for her husband, this caregiver is working tirelessly to meet her family’s daily needs. One ongoing challenge is the lack of a washer and dryer, which has made it difficult to manage household responsibilities, especially with her husband's health needs. Please note that the washer and dryer can be used or new.

Support with a washer and dryer would greatly ease their daily burdens and bring much-needed relief to a family navigating so many hardships with strength and love.

Unfortunately, the moving expenses are overwhelming. The moving company has quoted $2,050.00, and breaking their current lease will cost an additional $4,000. While the new apartment will significantly ease their financial burden long term, they need help getting there. The family’s income consists of Social Security, SSI, and Child Only–OWF benefits. They have reached out to local resources like PRC and Jewish Family Services—who have helped with groceries and gas—but financial support for the move has not been secured. The caregiver has taken steps to ensure her husband receives proper care, including signing him up for Meals on Wheels, and her son is stepping in to help as well. This family is doing all they can, but they can’t do it alone. Support with moving expenses would provide critical relief and stability during an already overwhelming time.

A single mom with two children has been struggling with her family and being able to work. She had a great job but had to leave because of needing to take care of a family member with some medical issues. Since then she has been trying to find a place for her children to go so she can try to get back to work. She found one place and was sending them but her assistance changed and she was trying to do a payment plan to pay it all back. They want it all in one lump sum before the children can go back. If she can get a little help with that back pay she can get her kids in the camps and get back to work to get their lives back on track. Any help is appreciated

A devoted and loving grandmother has stepped up as the full-time caregiver for her four grandchildren, whose ages range from 4 to 12 years old. Despite being retired and living on a fixed income, she took them in without hesitation, driven by her deep love and commitment to their well-being.

All four children are on the autism spectrum, and while the grandmother is doing everything she can to provide them with a nurturing and supportive home, she is in urgent need of assistance. Her biggest concern right now is their safety while playing outside. The backyard is currently unfenced, which poses a serious risk, as the children may wander off into the street—something she constantly worries about.

The family is asking for help with getting a secure gate or fence installed around the backyard. This would allow the children to play freely and safely while giving their grandmother peace of mind. A fenced area would be a tremendous blessing and would significantly improve the quality of life for these children and their caregiver.

Any assistance—whether through donated materials, installation help, or funding toward this safety need—would mean the world to this family. They are incredibly grateful for any and all support they receive.

On top of managing her own health, she continues to meet the needs of the children as best she can. Her car recently broke down, and she is now without reliable transportation. This has created a significant barrier—not only to getting the children to school and appointments, but also to attending her own critical medical visits and the therapeutic services the children rely on.

She is in the process of applying for benefits, but in the meantime, she urgently needs help covering the cost of car repairs. Restoring her vehicle would allow her to keep up with vital medical care and continue providing the consistent, loving support her grandchildren need.

Additionally, clothing gift cards would be a tremendous help, as she is on a fixed income and doing everything she can to provide for the children on her own. Any support—big or small—would make a meaningful difference in their lives and be deeply appreciated.

This young mother is making it despite extreme challenges in her own upbringing. She did much to raise her siblings and drive everyone towards safety and success. She used her voice multiple times until aid came to help save her sisters and herself from abuse withing the bio family. This single mom is now 21 years old and pregnant with her second child. She works part time jobs when she can and relies on the support of her chosen family network. One beautiful thing about her is that she readily embraces positive supports. She’s pointed out that chosen family/friend networks/strangers have done more to help than the adults in her own family (paternal and maternal sides). As her victim advocate, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her continue to be smart, resourceful, and hopeful over many years. She doesn’t often reach out for needs so when she does, I know she’s in need and embarrassed to ask. She would greatly benefit from the financial assistance of paying a phone bill ($98.00 due June 12, 2025). Additionally, she would very likely embrace invitations to build her community.
