15 year old female She lives with a fictive kin caregiver do not qualify for kinship payments The child would like her hair braided and school clothes She completed summer school and is now going to the 10th grade

Kinship caregiver in need of assistance with a dresser and 3 comforters (2 girls and 1 boy). The caregiver is in the process of becoming a licensed home and is actively making the changes necessary per the request of her child placement agency.

Grandparents with limited income have a desire to be licensed but need additional items. The caregivers are caring for their 5-year-old grandson. The are in need of a lock box, 5lb fire extinguisher and a fingerprint or code doorknob. The doorknob is due to the caregiver having to place her medication behind a double locked door at the request of the child placement agency.

The single mother of 3 children (ages 8, 10, and 17) currently resides in a hotel. The family does not have transportation, and the mother recently lost her job. The mother recently became a doula but only gets paid every 60 days. The mother is due to receive her paycheck at the end of the month. When the mother receives her paycheck, she plans to pay for their hotel stay through August 2025. The mother has utilized housing resources but is having difficulty obtaining housing due to her history of evictions. The agency will continue to work with mom and assist her in navigating these roadblocks.

The children’s fathers are not present, and the mother does not receive child support. The family has no support network within the city limits.

The Preparation for Adult Living Team wants every young adult to take advantage of all their benefits. It starts when they first enter PAL at age 14. At age 14 young adults can start participating in Circle of Supports. This is a meeting where all the support team comes together with the young adult to talk about their plans for the future. Where the young adult wants to live, what they want to study in school or what they see for their selves. We want to stress the importance of this with our young adults. We will be partnering with the COS team to throw an Ice Cream Social for our young adults. We want to introduce them to staff and discuss the importance of this. We are looking for support in doing this. We would love a gift card for a grocery store to buy supplies for the Ice Cream Social. We think hanging out discussing with a sweet treat would be a great start. Thank you all for your time.

There is a 14-year-old girl who has some mental health concerns that her mother is no longer able to address. She is no longer able to go home to her mother. However, her father is willing to care for her in a different state but, he cannot afford to fly to her and/or fly them both back. The family is in need of assistance with flight purchases to get the father to her and both of them back to him home state.

Caregiver has taken in 3 nephews and is managing meeting their basic needs as best she can. Caregiver is on a fixed income since taking in three additional people and currently the boys are sleeping on a queen size beds. They need their own sleeping space and this would greatly assist caregiver and the family.

Children’s aunt is in need of this assistance. They are needing bunk beds for two out of the three boys.
The boys will be much more comfortable being able to sleep in their own beds and have much more space for themselves.

Paternal grandmother caring for her 3-year old grandson needs assistance with paying rent. Caregiver is currently going through a divorce, and although she is employed, she is needing assistance with paying rent, as a significant portion of her income has gone toward paying her attorney and divorce proceedings. Caregiver is currently in the process of having her home licensed so that she can adopt her grandson.

17 year old child is being cared for by his paternal grandmother who is furloughed government employee. The child has a severe case of Bulimia Nervosa and requires supplemental drinks to maintain his weight as well as a healthy diet. The grandmother has visited all of her local pantries and often time she is able to get some food but never the supplemental drinks. Grandmother is also struggling with gas money to transport the child to and from his two weekly doctor's appointments. Another harsh reality, is the biological mother is collecting SSI for the child but refusing to assist the grandmother. This has been reported to the authorities and will eventually be re-routed to the grandmother but until then she is in dire need for any assistance she can get. She has applied for food stamps and was denied any assistance. At this time the family has food for about 48 hours. The grandmother is overdraft in her bank account and will not receive any pay for another 2 weeks. There is no gas for the child's upcoming appointments.

Client is a single mother to one child. This mom has worked for months to save and find an affordable home. Now that she has found appropriate housing and plans to move in July 12th, she is in need of some household items. She is looking for the following: a twin bed for her child, a dish set, kitchen utensils, and a cookware pan set. She would be appreciative of any new or used donations to get her family back on their feet. Thank you for your consideration!

The mother on this case is not working and requires assistance to see her child. She just made us aware that she is unable to get any transportation and really wants to visit her child.

A youth currently involved in services has made significant progress in their personal growth and is working hard to stay on track. They have expressed a strong interest in attending an upcoming concert as a reward and motivator. Providing tickets would not only fulfill a meaningful personal goal but also serve as positive reinforcement for their continued engagement and success.
