She is a single mother with eight children. She fell behind on bills due to her car having problems and needing to be fixed. She is behind on her utility bill, and it will be cut off if not paid. She is working to try meet the needs of the children just short this month.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a youth who is currently in foster care who would greatly benefit from a tablet/computer, and clothing. This would allow the youth to have a sense of comfort and normalcy in his current placement. The youth is aged 16, he has an interest in technology, history and science. A tablet/computer would allow him to stay on track with his schoolwork, research community resources, apply for colleges, and maintain healthy connections. It would also offer a form relaxation and age-appropriate entertainment. With the upcoming school year and his 17th birthday approaching, he would benefit from a new wardrobe and shoes to keep up with growth spurts and to feel confident.

A kinship family is in need of a stove. The family's stove recently went out the caregiver is unable to buy a new one and the current stove is unfixable. Purchasing this stove with enable a child to stay with this family member and maintain their current placement. The family is currently without a way to cook and provide meals outside of a microwave. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. A used stove is fine as long as it is in working condition.

The caregiver has recently taken in her three grandchildren and is in immediate needs of child proof wall outlets for the home. If this need is met it will preserve the placement as the caregiver is on a fixed income and not receiving any other financial assistance.

CarePortal Community, We’re reaching out with a special request on behalf of one of our incredible Sanctuary families who are caring for four little ones, all under the age of 2. This family adopted their now 2-year-old daughter through The Sanctuary back in December and lovingly reopened their home in May to continue serving children in need. Since then, they’ve welcomed twin 9-month-old babies, one of whom has been diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome, and just this month, they accepted placement of a newborn. As you can imagine, getting out of the house with four little ones is no small task. To help make transportation and outings more manageable, we’re hoping to bless this family with a sturdy, multi-seat wagon. This would be a tremendous help in navigating daily life and would allow them to create meaningful, healing experiences outside of the home.

If you're willing and able, we would love for the wagon (Walmart link below) to be purchased and delivered directly to our Fort Bend foster office (address provided for donors). From there, one of our Sanctuary-vetted volunteers will deliver the gift to the family. Thank you for showing up in such tangible ways for our families — your generosity makes a lasting difference.

There is a paternal grandmother in need of food assistance. The kinship caregiver was denied food stamps, and she is the sole caregiver to her 3 grandchildren, ranging in ages from 9 years old to 2 years old. The caregiver is working a full-time job, while still being able to managing caring for her 3 grandchildren. Food panties have already been shared with the caregiver. We are requesting assistance with a gift card to HEB, Walmart, or a VISA card in any amount that could be shared with this kinship caregiver. Thank you for all your help!

We are currently serving a family of 11, but soon to be a family of 12 since the mother is getting close to giving birth to their 10th child. This family has experienced financial stress due to both parents losing their job. Thankfully, one of the parents is now working, but they are still struggling financially. Recently the parents' bed broke (it caved in), and there are real concerns of the mother not getting the rest she needs while being pregnant and very close to her delivery date. Additionally, there are some concerns about her ability for post-partum rest and recovery, especially considering that, in their Garifuna culture, the mother does not leave the home for the first 45 days after giving birth. So, the mom and the newborn are expected to be in utilizing this bed a lot during the first month and a half of the newborn's life. Since only one parent is working and their income has been cut in half, it is currently not possible for them to replace their broken bed. Blessing them with a king-sized bed with bed sheets and pillows would be such a gift for them as our clinical case worker continues to walk with and support them on their journey to becoming self-sustaining. Youth will be attending an academy on July 20 and is need of school uniform for education needs. Youth wears a large in shirt size and 36 size in pants. Uniform attire needed: long sleeve white button up collared shirt with a white tee shirt underneath, black dress pants with a black belt and white socks.

This is a child fatality investigation. I currently have no concerns of physical abuse or physical neglect. The family lost their newborn child, and recently they had to pay for unexpected expenses. Mom also lost her job around the time of the death of her child. I was able to get the surviving kids into daycare so mom can look for a new job and attend grief counseling. Mom said she needs help with diapers for her two youngest kids (1 and 2 years old): Size 7 for the 1-year-old and 3T-4T for the 2-year-old.

The family is moving into a bigger home and will be getting beds for four grandchildren. The family has only asked for twin bedding two for boys and two for girls and sandals the kids can play in. The grandmother is asking for sizes 3 1/2, two children need 2 1/5 and the 4th is in need of size 1. That is all she is asking and needing.

The maternal aunt has her 4 nieces and nephew placed in her home. She is in need 2 dressers and 1 High Chair.

This is a request for a youth to get a new or used laptop computer or tablet. The youth has a need for this computer to help facilitate their journey into adulthood. They are trying to obtain employment and continue their final year in high school. This item will allow them the ability to fully engage with the necessary requirements of various online applications and virtual job search. They are going to use this tool to do schoolwork as well to maintain proper standing in their academic endeavors. By giving this individual a way to approach these barriers in their life you will be providing an important need in their current and future success.
