House consists of mom, grandma and child. Grandma and mom both work but grandma had a heart bypass not too long ago and cannot work for long periods. The mom was working but her store closed abruptly as they filed for bankruptcy. Mom’s checks from there have been bouncing as the company doesn’t have money to pay the employees right now. She got a new job but it is going to take a few weeks before she gets her first check and it will be very small since she just started. Mom also had to take a week off when her autistic child was sick and he recently had a procedure in the hospital she had to be off for as well. The family is behind right now on bills. I have helped with the bills but they need groceries, pull ups, household products such as toilet paper, cleaning products, etc.

Mother and 5-year-old are currently homeless and needing assistance with temporary stay in a motel for few days until, she can find an alternate caregiver for her child. She has reached out to area shelters and none of them have spots available and there is long waiting list. She tried with her extended family members and none of them are able to help her at this time. She is requesting financial help with few days stay at Super 8 Motel in Fort Worth which cost $75 per night. She is helped by her brother for tonight.

I Am a single parent that has two daughters that currently attend DISD. Prayers to all, I am in need of serious help with my rent this month, unfortunately I only have one source of income right now to help provide for me and my two daughters and my granddaughter,
I recently lost my mother on the 19th of March and finally was able to lay her to rest on the 14th of April, she is who I would go to for help, I have good girls, they are in need of assistance and resources socially and emotionally as well, i thank God for the school and the help they try to provide, we are a family in desperate need at this time. Family is need of temporary housing, mother is currently living with her child inside of her vehicle. Child is 3 yo. Mother has been displaced an is in need of temp housing for herself, child, and dog for 2 weeks until she is able to move. mother is also in need of a car battery for a 2014 Jeep Patriot

Family is living off of one income and the mother is having numerous health issues. Family is requesting assistance with gas to help transport their son to and from school and to and from work for the father, to and from GED classes for the mother.

This family is doing everything they can to rebuild their lives after facing unimaginable loss. The 41-year-old mother suffered the tragic death of her partner to suicide, which led to the loss of both her job and home. With nowhere else to turn, she and her three children—a female, age 8; a female, age 12; and a male, age 16—were welcomed in by a generous family friend who offered them a place to stay, despite managing his own serious health challenges. All three children now share one small room, sleeping on a twin mattress and an air mattress, yet they remain hopeful and close as a family. They are in need of a few basic items to help create a more comfortable and stable living environment. A trundle or bunk bed would give the children a better place to sleep, and a washer and dryer (new or used) would help them keep up with everyday clothing needs. They are also in need of clothing: size 8–10 girls tops, size 10–12 pants, underwear size 7–8, and size 5 shoes for the 8-year-old girl; XL–2XL tops, XL black leggings or yoga pants (no jeans or bright colors), size 8W shoes, and underwear size 9–10 for the 12-year-old girl; and 4–5X tops and pants, underwear size 4X boxer, and size 15W shoes for the 16-year-old boy. Any support would mean so much as this family continues to move forward with strength, love, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Mom(18 years old) recently had to move out of her parents home. She is now living with some of her other family members but does not have furniture for her and her daughter(2yrs old). Mom currently does not work and the family she is staying with is very low income. She would like assistance obtaining a bedroom dresser, queen size bed frame with mattress, sheets and comforter, as well as clothing for her 24 month baby girl.

Any help is appreciated.

The child is 15yo in 9th grade. The family moved from Irving to Dallas and He was no longer able to get to school in Irving. The local school in Dallas requires uniforms with the school logo and the mother is unable to afford. The child is in men sizes.

Single mother is caring for 8 children. Mother is requesting 4 bunk beds and a table with 4 chairs. Children were sleeping on air mattress but no longer in good sleeping condition. Having their own bed will help children have their own sleeping space. Any assistance is appreciated.

Single mom with 8 children is requesting assistance with obtaining a new/used dryer. She reported it takes almost an entire day for the clothes to dry and there are 9 people total living in the home, making it difficult for her to be caught up on laundry.

Low-income single mom is requesting assistance with obtaining 2 mattresses for her younger children. They are all currently co-sleeping on 1 bed. The Department can provide air mattresses, but we are hoping for a more long-term solution.

15-year-old male has been removed from mom twice already due to drug use in the home. 15-year-old is currently placed with fictive kin and will be sharing a room with another fictive kin and is in need of a bed.
