This request is to provide a crib for a great grandmother who is caring for male siblings 3 years old, 5 years old and five-month-old infant. The five-month-old was recently placed with the great grandmother in order to keep the siblings together. The infant is temporarily sleeping in a Pak n Play. The caregiver is elderly and is having difficulty bending down to help the child in and out of the Pak in Play. This donation will benefit the daily lives of the infant and caregiver. The older siblings are very excited that their baby brother is placed with them. DCF Licensing guidelines require that the crib not have drop sides.

Single mother of one week old male infant is in need of diapers, infant clothing and formula. Mom has taken time off work until infant is old enough to be in child care. WIC will start soon however mom needs to obtain a social security number, which is a process.

A father who was recently reunited with his disabled child is actively seeking employment to support her and serve as her primary caregiver while the child’s mother is at work. The mother has made significant progress in her recovery from substance abuse, and both parents are working to build a stable and healthy home environment. The father is an experienced heavy equipment operator but currently lacks the basic clothing and personal hygiene items needed to begin work. This father also is seeking soap shampoo razors, shaving cream, deodorant - toothpaste – toothbrushes for family daily hygiene. We are assisting him in overcoming this employment barrier and are requesting support to help him take the next steps toward providing for his child.

We have a single mother of 4 children (ages 6, 5, 4, and 2) who is in need of assistance. Three of the 4 children have special needs and have been diagnosed with autism. None of the children are potty trained and the mother would like to potty train them together. She is in need of 4 toddler training toilets so that she can have them learn together and they may all need to sit on a training toilet together. She is also in need of wipes and training diapers, size 6 and 7.

The mother has secured a Section 8 housing voucher and is preparing to move into stable housing with her four children. She has recently been approved for a home and is eager to take this important step toward stability. She works full-time and is also enrolled in college, demonstrating her commitment to providing a better future for her family. However, a past eviction and an outstanding TECO bill from over a year ago have created barriers to moving forward. By assisting with the past-due TECO balance, the mother will be able to pay the necessary deposit and officially move into her new home. This support will allow her to begin a new chapter in her life—reunified with all four of her biological children and on a path toward long-term stability.

This is a single foster mom who just recently lost her father and has moved in with her mother to assist her after her father's death. She is in need of a bunk bed and she has specific one that she is requesting. The links are below.

The mother is requesting relocation assistance after her home was recently broken into. She has two children and is seeking to move to a safer location for her family. If this request is met, the family will be able to relocate to a more secure environment. The mother has already identified suitable apartments, and once the deposit is paid, the complex will assign a unit. She is requesting $700 to help cover the $1,000 deposit and is committed to contributing the remaining $300 herself. She is currently employed and confident in her ability to maintain stable housing moving forward.

She has been struggling to find housing for some time but as of 6/6/2025 mother was able to get housing through catholic charities agency. Now that she has moved in mother is still in need of assistance with furniture, clothing items for child, diapers, and other essential items, such as child locks for cabinets. Mother does have a bed for herself, a toddler bed for her daughter and a TV but that is all. Mother works and has saved up some money but not enough to furnish her home. Mother can also use assistance with getting Houshold supplies and other care needs for her daughter.

My client is a 34-year-old disabled man who is currently navigating a major life transition following the recent loss of his mother. Having lived in the family home with her until her passing, he is now adjusting to independent living in a rented room shared with roommates. This shift has brought both emotional and physical challenges, and he is doing his best to adapt with dignity and resilience. He lives with chronic health conditions that cause excessive sweating, persistent pain, and strong body odor—especially at night. These symptoms often disrupt his sleep and cause him to worry about the impact on those he now lives with. He has shared his concern about being off-putting to his roommates, despite doing everything he can to manage these conditions. To support his comfort, confidence, and continued stability in this new living situation, we are seeking assistance with comfort/ sleep support, room freshening supplies, clothing, which have been requested in a separate Care Portal request. We are also requesting a Walmart gift card to assist with food and necessities, as my client is on a very limited income. We do request Walmart specifically due to my client's location and limited means to transportation. This individual is doing everything in his power to move forward after a profound loss. With a little support, he can live more comfortably, maintain harmony in his shared space, and continue to grow in his independence. Thank you for considering this request.
