We are currently serving a family of 11, but soon to be a family of 12 since the mother is getting close to giving birth to their 10th child. This family has experienced financial stress due to both parents losing their job. Thankfully, one of the parents is now working, but they are still struggling financially. Recently the parents' bed broke (it caved in), and there are real concerns of the mother not getting the rest she needs while being pregnant and very close to her delivery date. Additionally, there are some concerns about her ability for post-partum rest and recovery, especially considering that, in their Garifuna culture, the mother does not leave the home for the first 45 days after giving birth. So, the mom and the newborn are expected to be in utilizing this bed a lot during the first month and a half of the newborn's life. Since only one parent is working and their income has been cut in half, it is currently not possible for them to replace their broken bed. Blessing them with a king-sized bed with bed sheets and pillows would be such a gift for them as our clinical case worker continues to walk with and support them on their journey to becoming self-sustaining. Youth will be attending an academy on July 20 and is need of school uniform for education needs. Youth wears a large in shirt size and 36 size in pants. Uniform attire needed: long sleeve white button up collared shirt with a white tee shirt underneath, black dress pants with a black belt and white socks.

The mother on this case is not working and requires assistance to see her child. She just made us aware that she is unable to get any transportation and really wants to visit her child.

Food assistance is needed for an aged out young adult. I have a young adult that is out of food and needs food as soon as possible. Their food stamps got cancelled. If anyone could help with this young adult that would be amazing. This young adult is living independently and trying to focus on school and work. I know the assistance will help them focus on that instead of worrying about their next meal. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any type of grocery store card would be a great item for this young adult. Thank you all for your support.

The maternal aunt has her 4 nieces and nephew placed in her home. She is in need 2 dressers and 1 High Chair.

A little boy is in the process of being reunified with his parents. As they prepare to welcome him back home, the family is also adjusting to the recent birth of their newborn daughter, who arrived in early June. With the excitement of bringing their son home and caring for a new baby, this is a significant transition for the family. We want to help make this reunification as smooth and supportive as possible by ensuring the parents have the essentials they need. The family would benefit from diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, and clothing for both their son and daughter. Their son, being one year old, would also benefit from developmentally appropriate toys, Spanish-language books, and early learning tools like Leapfrog resources. Additionally, postpartum recovery items for their mom such as hygiene products, comfortable clothing, and other personal care essentials will support her physical and emotional recovery.

Providing these items will ease the family’s transition, support the successful reunification of their son with his parents, and help create a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for both children.

As the Faith-Based and Community Engagement Team prepares for the upcoming school year, we are reaching out to request your support in helping our children and youth start the year with the tools they need to succeed. We are collecting new school supplies for children served by the Rainbow Room. Items needed are backpacks, notebooks, paper, folders, pencils, pens, colors, glue, scissor etc. With your help, we can ensure that every child we serve starts the school year with confidence and the right supplies in hand.
We ask that all donated supplies be dropped off by July 31, 2025

I have an older caregiver who is willing to care for her grandbaby, who will be released from the hospital soon. The caregiver is need of an Infant car seat, so she is able to transport the infant to upcoming doctor appointments, etc.

I have a single Somali mother is raising her five children, who range in age from 1 to 8 years old, without the father in the picture. Recently, the family received assistance in securing an apartment. However, the mother is currently unemployed and unable to afford permanent beds for herself and her children. They are in need of beds, bedding, and a dining room table. Gently used items welcomed.

Teen needs a dresser for her room. The youth has clothes split between a couple of duffel bags and some folded on the floor.

A pregnant, single mother of four whom fled a domestic volatile relationship, is in need of financial assistance to maintain stable and reliable transportation. The mother and children have consistent medical appointments to attend around the city to address and support physical and emotional health for all the family. Ensuring that car payments remain current will be of great benefit of the family's ability to maintain stability.
