A single mom who has 2 girls with traumatic pasts that include family disruptions and homelessness, are need of materials to better their coping skills and strengthen their family bonds. The family is made up of a single mom and her 2 year old child. The child is currently growing out of her crib and needs to transition to a toddler bed. At this time, the child is sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor. The family is looking for a toddler sized bed frame for the child, to replace the crib. The mother has limited financial resources.

This family is made up of parents, one adult son and a teenaged daughter. The family is also caring for their niece, whose mother is homeless. The family has been treating the home for bed bugs and unfortunately have to throw out the mattresses, as they were infested with bed bugs. The infestation was addressed approx. 3 months ago, as a result all of the mattresses in the home were thrown out. The family has been sleeping on blow up air mattresses. The family was able to secure a toddler/crib mattress however are unable to afford to replace the mattresses they were forced to throw out .

The family is looking to replace 3 mattresses, 2 queen and 1 twin.

A family who was recently separated and have been reunified are in need of summer clothing and a crib mattress.

This is a family of 4 that lives in a home with no central air conditioning. There is very little free air flow through the residence. There are people within the home that have medical conditions exacerbated by the heat. They do not have the additional income to purchase air conditioning units on their own. Walmart in Queensbury has new window units for $139 per unit the link is provided. I am sure the family would accept any AC unit if in working condition. A family of 5 requesting summer items for the children. The family is currently homeless and being housed by DSS in a motel due to losing their home in a fire last year. They are still working to obtain a permanent residence. With summer coming the children would benefit from some summer clothes and some items to use while playing outside.

Summer Clothes and socks for: Baby girl- size 9-12 months Girl- size 4T-5T, 4-5, x-small Boy- size 8

This family is made up of dad, stepmom and 8yo child. The father and stepmother have medical conditions which they use marijuana for. Currently the marijuana in the home is not locked up. The parents are looking for a lockbox to properly secure the marijuana so the 8yo cannot access it.

To whom it may concern, I am making this request in efforts to assist a mother and father who have 7 children. The family was recently placed in motel through Washington County DSS due to unsafe living conditions at their prior residence. The family has since secured stable housing and have moved into a new place; however, they now have limited furniture due to being forced to vacate their prior residence in a hurry. The family has received 6 new twin mattresses for the older children, however they are in need of bunk bed frames to get the mattresses up off the floor. The youngest child is 4 months and has appropriate sleeping arrangements. The family struggles financially and cannot afford to purchase bunk bed frames at this time.

A grandfather who was given emergency custody of his 8-year-old granddaughter is in need of new clothes and shoes due to her rapidly growing. The grandfather is unable to work due to a disability and can't afford to buy her new clothes and shoes at this time. The family is currently homeless and being housed by the department of social services. The granddaughter is in need of shorts, pants, dresses, t-shirts, a bathing suit, and sandals/crocs for the summertime. She now wears size 12 pants/shorts and size 10-12 in shirts/dresses. Her shoes size is 2 currently.

A family of five with three children (18 year old son, 16 year old daughter and 10 year old daughter) is in need of bedroom furniture. Their 16 year old daughter has recently returned to the home and shares a bedroom with her little sister. The family is struggling financially as the father and mother have been unable to maintain consistent employment. The 10-year-old is currently sleeping in a plastic toddler sized bed and the 16-year-old does not have any pillows. She has been using rolled up blankets as pillows since returning home. The family would benefit from a twin-sized bunk bed, 4 pillows, 2 twin sized bed sheets, and a twin mattress to allow both children appropriate bedding and a place to sleep. Any support you could give to help these children would be amazing! Thank you!

The family has not had a working dryer for several months. There are 8 individuals in the home (5 children, 3 adults) and they have been struggling to wash and dry each person’s clothes in the home. The family stated that in addition to a working dryer, a clothesline would also be helpful to dry any extra items during warm weather. A young couple with a newborn baby are in need of some extra support. They need some supplies for their baby. Items include: baby thermometer, giftcard for groceries, and 2 dressers. They are also in need of having their oil tank refilled for heat. This will hold them over while they wait for the assistance to kick in from the county.
