We had 14 families and 51 children benefit from the food delivery on June 28th.

A loving aunt recently and unexpectedly stepped up to care for her 7-year-old niece and her niece's 3-year-old sister, keeping the siblings together and providing them with a safe and stable home. She also has a young child of her own and is currently unemployed for the summer, as she works in a school setting and only receives income while school is in session. Although she budgets for the summer period, taking in two additional children has caused significant financial strain on her household. She is in need of groceries to help support the children until maintenance payments begin. Additionally, she needs a booster seat for the 7-year-old and a car seat for the 3-year-old so that she can safely transport the girls to appointments, activities, and visits. This caregiver has shown great love and commitment by taking on this responsibility with little notice, and your support would make a meaningful difference during this transitional time. A young mother of 3 small children (ages 5mos, 1yo, and 2yo) is working towards reunification. She has two jobs, just got a car, and is making steady progress in the juvenile case. Mother resides in an apartment in Cape Girardeau and only has one small window (not very efficient) unit in her home. I was at the apartment last week and it was very warm. I am requesting two window units for the family to be able to have air conditioning in the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This older youth is needing help with rent and deposit on a new apartment.

Hello, my name is Rebecca Weaver. I am working with a mom, her 4-year-old daughter and 21-year-old daughter. The 4-year-old daughter was returned home to mom's care on 5/26/25 on a trial home visit. Mom continues to progress with her goals for the case. Shortly after the trial home visit began, the mother was told she had 10 days to leave the home she was living in during the case. Mom and her two daughters moved in with mom's father (maternal grandfather). Maternal grandfather is no longer willing to provide housing support, and a hotel room is needed this evening or for the next few days until housing or a shelter can be found. Mom is employed in Cape and her 21-year-old daughter is actively looking for employment. The 4-year-old daughter attends daycare in Cape so housing or hotel support in Cape would be ideal. Mom has her own transportation and is actively looking for an apartment with financial assistance from Community Partnership. Any support would be appreciated.

A mom who is living separate from the children's father is needing a vehicle to get to her appointments and visit with the children. She is currently looking for employment, attending treatment and visiting with the children. There are three children aged 5, 3, and a baby. The children are placed with family in the St. Louis area so visits have been hard to depend on others to help with transportation.

A 17 year old girl recently moved into a new foster home and is sharing a room with a infant. She has little closet space and is needing a 6-9 Square Cubic organizer with the 6-9 fabric cubes so she can has dresser space.

She is also starting collage soon and would like a desk to be able to sit at to do her homework rather than sitting in the kitchen where she cannot focus alone.

Working single mother of 3 children ages 8,3,14 months needs help with daycare due to job change and trying to rebuild income. She is a stable parent and good provider but changing jobs cause a lapse of income and she needs help to catch up.

Children have been placed with foster parents since July 25, 2023. According to the foster parent, the initial cost to spray the home for an infestation is $300, with subsequent treatments costing $89 each to maintain control of the issue. The foster parent does not have the $300 needed for the first spray but mentioned that if someone can cover this initial cost, she should be able to pay the $89 for future treatments. Any help would be much appreciated.

A family is looking for help in completing their new home. This family has a child in care and has the goal of that child going back home shortly. They are looking for help to tie their home and family together as they reunite with their child. They are looking for help in obtaining a washing machine and a dryer. Helping this family obtain these items will assist in their efforts to make their home welcoming and complete with the feelings of cleanliness. We thank you for the consideration.
