I have been working with the parents of a baby who was born on 8/13/24 (almost 2 years old now). At the time of the baby's birth, they were struggling with substance abuse. Court denied reunification services, but the parents were determined to do whatever was necessary to prove that they could take the necessary steps to be able to parent their baby. On their own, they both (separately) completed extensive inpatient treatment programs, and then continued participating in outpatient services. They visited the baby regularly. In late 2024 they petitioned the court and were granted reunification services. Since then, they have maintained their sobriety, secured employment, and, most recently housing. Recently, they moved into a 2-bedroom apartment and the baby is being returned to their care. The parents have everything they need for the child, as that has been their priority. Other than that, they have very little for their new home. They need a bed, a dresser and a lamp. These parents have worked so hard, never given up; I have seen such a huge change in them. I'm very proud of all they have overcome and accomplished. I'd really like to help as they start their new life. Thank you in advance.

Please note: I submitted a request for this family for a stove and a couch; they were able to find a couch and their own and they decided they could live without a stove for now. So, this request is for the other items they still need.

Hello, this is a request for 2 beds and bedding for a 9 and 14 year-old girls so that they may reunify with their mother. The mother has worked hard to reunify with her children, completing all of the services that she was required, all while working full time. She has made great strides and is close to full reunification with her girls. The girls have been on an extended visit with her in her one bedroom apartment until she was able to secure a two bedroom on July 1st. She is asking for help in obtaining one full size bed with bedding (14 year old likes Black, Dk Grey or White) and one twin size bed with bedding (9 year old likes White, Pink or Purple). The items can be new or used. Thank you for your time in reviewing this request. The family is grateful for any support provided.

Individual separated from his wife for two years and previously lived with his sister in small apartment during that time. He had the prospect of a job on June 1st & showed paperwork to landlord to certify this was so and was granted the one-bedroom apartment for himself & his 12-year-old daughter after a very long search. After orientation at the new job, he found out the job was cancelled. He began searching for another job immediately; found one--which he started today. He will receive his first paycheck on July 3rd, but it won't be enough to cover his rent, which is actually due July 1st (four days from this writing). His paycheck will ultimately cover his rent and other cost of living items, but for now, he's in a difficult situation. He is going to do his best to scrape together money from his side business of detailing cars, but time is limited to do that (there's only one free day before July 1st). I told him that we would try to help him, but there were no promises. I encouraged him to speak to his landlord, too, and find out if there's a grace period. I also prayed with him. Any amount of money would help toward him not losing the apartment he worked so hard to find.

Yesterday, they moved into a 2-bedroom apartment. At the upcoming hearing on 7/2/25, it is anticipated that the toddler will be returned to their care. The parents have everything they need for the child, as that has been their priority. Other than that, they have very little for their new home. They are confident that they will be able to eventually furnish the place and purchase what they need. I asked what the most important needs were right now. They would love a stove and a couch.

These parents have worked so hard, never given up; I have seen such a huge change in them. I'm very proud of all they have overcome and accomplished. I'd really like to help as they start their new life.

I am reaching out with a heartfelt request on behalf of a single mother in our community who is currently facing significant financial hardship while raising her five children. As you can imagine, balancing the responsibilities of providing food, transportation, and other daily essentials for a large family can be overwhelming—especially with limited resources.

We are seeking sponsorship in the form of gift cards for groceries and gas, which would provide immediate relief and support to help meet her family’s basic needs. Grocery store and gas station gift cards, even in small denominations, can make a meaningful difference.

I have been working with Mom for almost 2 years. She had a very serious problem with addition until October 2023, when she gave birth to a baby girl. She has been clean and sober since then, now has full custody of her daughter, is employed with stable housing and is doing great. Mom has older kids, 15-year-old twin boys and a 17-year-old. The older kids have been in foster care; since Mom has turned her life around, she has reestablished relationships with them. They are visiting, and the family may be soon reunited. They are in a very small space right now, but Mom is hoping to be approved for a larger home soon. Mom is humble and reluctant to ask, but she needs 4 sets of twin sheets and comforters, pillows, towels, deodorants, soaps, toothpaste, shampoo, and toiletries for the older kids, toilet paper, size 4 diapers, baby shampoo and lotions, plastic hangers and plastic bins for storage.
Mom is open to a gift certificate or to someone who can assist her with planning and shopping. Thank you in advance.

A relative caregiver adopted and welcomed a child into their home who needs assistance with essential home items. The grandmother urgently require a complete twin bedding set including a blanket, along with a dresser to properly store the child's clothing and personal belongings. Meeting these needs will provide their child with a warm, cozy bed to sleep in. It will also create an organized space for their possessions. These essential items will help establish a nurturing environment that supports the child's sense of security and belonging in their new home.

We have an opportunity to bless a lovely lady with two small kids that has just completed her transition from homelessness to getting an apartment of her own. She’s worked really hard and would love some assistance getting some basic pieces of furniture secured. We have been able to provide a queen size bed and frame as well as two toddler beds with mattresses and bedding for everyone. We still need some assistance finding two small dressers for this family.
