14 year old teen girl in foster care has recently been able to reunite with her sisters (E, 11 and R, 12), stepdad, and step-grandmother! The grandmother has been the primary caregiver to E & R, as well as her own sister who has been sick. The grandmother also lost her son recently. Despite all the grief, the grandmother has enthusiastically accepted the 14 year old into her home, but is concerned about keeping up with bills as well as providing a good Christmas. We are looking for Christmas decorations, gift cards, and teen girl items.

Good afternoon. I am requesting community assistance to help support an older youth on my caseload currently in the care of the MO Children's Division. At this time, My youth is needing financial assistance to help with vehicle repairs. My youth is in need of $360 + Tax to help with replacing an Accelerator Pedal and clean Throttle Body in her 2008 Chevy Impala. There is also a hub bearing growling/hum noise that changes with speed that needs to be addressed. The estimated cost is $360 plus tax to address these issues. My youth's car has broken down once already and had to pay almost $800 in repairs. My youth's job requires her to have stable transportation for work and I am worried her car may break down again if these issues are not addressed. My youth plans to seel her car and finance a newer one once these repairs are made.
Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day!!

Family already has a stroller (double stroller) but this stroller is not safe for baby due to positioning needs. The family has been encouraged to obtain either a carseat with bassinet attachment (and bottom shelf for equipment) or a wagon to help transport baby. Any help in obtaining this item that family was not expecting to have to need is greatly appreciated. Please reach me at(###) ###-#### to discuss plans for assistance.

This family is in need of items for their home. The mother has been able to not work due to maternity leave and needs items from her home; she has been trying to maintain the bills and the home with the little income that she has until she is able to work. She has made huge progress over the past six years despite going through tough times and has really shown significant progress with the program during my time with her. I have noticed there are things that the home needs when being there for visits with the family, along with looking over the rooms. The mother has recently moved into this apartment and really started with nothing. The home has maintained staying clean, and I would like to get Mom a few items so she does not have the financial burden of trying to come up with money while parenting three young children (including a newborn). I hope you can help me. This would greatly be appreciated by the family!
See the identified needed items, which would include a high chair, beds for the kids, dressers, clothes, etc.
The sizes for the family include :
Girl #1- size 4/5 or S
Girl #2 - 3T
Boy- 0-3months, 3-6 months
Diapers are size 6
The family is also in need of curtain rods and curtains for the home, if possible, since there are a lot of windows within the apartment- 84-inch curtains and adjustable curtain rods.
Thank you so much for considering to help!

Good afternoon! I have an 18 yr old youth currently in the custody of the MO children's Division that I am working with to help her transition to adulthood. To that end I am requesting community assistance to help my youth pay off her current phone bill so she can get off her parents plan and get her own phone plan. For context, My youth is currently in a transitional living program and has her own apartment in Jackson County. She has a job and is working on transitioning to living independently without assistance from others.
At this time, My youth has a phone but her phone plan is still on her parents. The parents themselves are homeless, and not financially dependable to pay the family plan (despite my youth paying her end each month). This has resulted in my youth losing service numerous times due to her parents being unable to pay the entire phone bill. My youth does not have internet in her apartment, and she needs reliable phone service to request stay in communication with me, request ubers, and have a lifeline in case of emergency. Currently only $400 remains to pay off her phone. Once she has this, she will be able to go to phone store with her parents and pay the remainder of her phone which will allow her to switch service providers. My youth plans to switch to mint mobile.
My youth's phone is currently off so any assistance to help support this youth would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This request is to help parents in being able to throw a birthday party for their two year old daughter at Chuck E Cheese. This is one of six children and one of four birthdays in December and January. By covering the cost for the party would alleviate some of that stress the parents experience during this time to make sure their children get to have fun on their birthdays, get presents for their birthday, while also making sure that they are able to get all the children presents for Christmas.
Mother is a single mom and is doing the best she can raising 4 boys. She is behind on BPU bill as she recently moved to Kansas after fleeing from her abusive husband. Mom is working really hard but just needs some extra support. Mother is asking for help with groceries and payment of her utility bill to alleviate concerns for children going hungry, and to ensure they are getting fed properly. It will also ensure their electricity does not get shut off as the holidays and cold weather approach.
I am working with a family that lost a lot of their household items due to a bed bug infestation. There are 4 children and two adults living in a two-bedroom apartment. Currently, the children's clothing is on the floor in their closet, and it is difficult for them to locate items that they need. The children's mother has some mental health concerns that she is working to address. Therefore, updating their space and improving the conditions that her children are living in will help boost the overall morale of the home. Thank you so much for any and all help that you can provide. The family is enthusiastically open to second-hand and pre-loved items. Small laundry baskets, bookshelves, and any small storage items would also be helpful.
One of the older children has asthma and has a difficult time keeping up with their siblings. Their mother thinks that a double stroller would help with this a lot.
Thank you so much for supporting the community.

Greg:
Restore Community Church has a new twin roll out trundle bed with metal slats and lockable casters for this family. It is not a toddler bed, but the platform frame is only a few inches high, and might be suitable for this family. Restore also can provide a new mattress and bedding. If desired, Northland Church KC can deliver this week.
A mother that has recently reunified with her daughters just had her lights turned off and needs assistance with getting her electricity turned back on. Thankfully her heat is powered by natural gas, but she and the kids need to be able to use power to cook and do homework. Mom is struggling to figure out how to turn on her lights and pay rent for December, when her next pay check doesn't come until 12/10. Any assistance for this family would be greatly appreciated. With it being winter and the holidays, most assistance options have been pretty well exhausted.
A relative family has taken in a sibling group of three, ages 9, 10 and 12 as their pre-adoptive resource. The mentioned family member, a relative to these three kids, moved from the State of Washington two summers ago to adopt her nieces and nephew. The sibling group have been in care for over five years and have finally gained a sense of permanency in the near future with their family. With the household expanding to seven members, the mentioned family is financially struggling with putting food on the table to feed all of their children. We kindly request any donations that may help this family provide groceries, especially with the holidays quickly approaching.

DCCCA is currently working with two teen mothers who are in critical need of baby monitors. One of them has a 13-day old, beautiful baby and she is a teen mom that could benefit from having a monitor to effectively care and attend to her sweet baby girl. Unfortunately, this teen mom is a migrant who came with no family and has no support. Our second momma has multiple babies who are in need of constant monitoring as they are now fast and tend to wander around. Keeping them safe is important and necessary. Please consider helping these beautiful children and young moms. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading and God bless you! Updated on December 06, 2023 by an Agency Worker We were able to obtain one monitor. Please help us out with the second one, thank you :)

Kinship placement, Grandpa & Great Aunt are caring for 2 young children in their family. The home has cockroaches and desperately needs to be treated. The family is strapped for money and is unable to pay for the treatment. The family has gotten a quote from a pest control company for an initial treatment that would cost $350. They would need to follow up with additional treatments but any help to get them started would be appreciated. This would greatly improve the quality of living for the entire family but especially the children ages 18 months and 5 years old. Please consider helping this family. Thank you.
