We have a 3 year old boy placed with a relative and is in need of a twin bed, mattress, sheets and comforter.

Two young boys were removed from there mom because of an unsafe situation. They have reintegrated back home with their dad who was not in the home with them originally. The family is fully reintegrated but there are court fees that the dad cannot fully cover and the family will not be finished with court until the fees are covered. The fees are supposed to be shared with the kids mom but she will most likely not be helping so the family is asking for help to cover her portion of the court fees.

The boys are doing well with their dad and the dad would like to be finished with the court system and have the boys full time with him.

The youth is currently in need of a Twin box spring to help create a more comfortable and supportive sleeping arrangement in her new placement. At this time, she is unable to get proper rest due to the lack of this essential item, which is impacting her overall comfort and ability to fully settle into her environment.

Single-mother of one recently had to leave an abusive relationship over the weekend. She was unable to take some baby supplies with her. She is lacking some baby supplies currently and requested a pack-n-play specifically. She has moved in her with her parents for the time being. She and her parents are working on procuring some other supplies but would appreciate all support that the local community can offer.

On July 31, 2025 there will be a Back to School Fair at Platte County Health Department. Our goal is to provide low-income students and families of Platte County an equal and safe opportunity for school readiness by enriching physical, mental, and social well-being. In 2024, 885 children were provided with backpacks, hygiene packets, eye screenings, dental screenings, sports physicals, vaccines, and access to community resources. We are still in need of individually bagged earbuds. Each child receives earbuds in their backpack to be used in the classroom. (The items we puchase for the backpacks are based ont he lists the schools provide us.) We have previously found the earbuds on amazon in bulk $22.00 per 50 count. This would help to finish up the final items needed for the backpacks. We are in need of 200 earbuds total.

This family who lost their home in a house fire is in need of some new beds for their new home. Mom is who battling some medical problems is trying so hard at getting their home back together. She could use some help from her community in getting these items so that they have some new beds and a place to sleep in their new home. She has battled through multiple health problems and the house burning down and continues to fight everyday. She could use the help of her community to build her back up. The Jackson County Children's Division Prevention team has been working with an apartment complex on safety concerns around their facilities. We have had numerous talks with management and unfortunately the type of safety concerns were having are in the units only with children. The complex can only do so much and have agreed to work with us to help solve the concerns from both us and KCPD. The apt complex has had numerous police reports due to children being unmonitored at unsafe age. The children have been able to leave the apt building, via window, front door, or sliding glass doors. The locks that the apt complex have are old and the actual door to get into the building is self-open. We had event at the apartment complex where we were able to speak with close to 75 families about these safety concerns there having. Some of them the doors just do not lock, or they do not have the funds to get the proper child safety locks, some of them their children will leave while parents are sleeping and there's no lock on the door that is high enough away off the ground where a child cannot reach it. Sliding glass door locks anywhere from 10-20 of these would be beneficially.

This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and help a whole apartment complex with some baby proofing items they are in need of 50 lever locks and 5 sliding glass door locks to help keep their kids safe as the current locks do not work on the new doors that the apartment put in and these families could use your help. The children cannot live in the home of their grandmother who can take them. They were in a single parent home and Mom died, they are staying with an 84-year-old great-grandmother in a very small home and need to get into grandmas. She needs a dumpster urgently so that she can clean out her 2-bedroom home to accommodate the kids. She has too many boxes, bins and clutter to have them live with her comfortably or safely and there are 3 kids, so it really needs to be able to have all the rooms used. PLEASE HELP!! Great Grandmother cannot keep them. Would be great if this dumpster could get delivered on MONDAY so that they can get the house cleaned out by Friday and the kids can get into the home. A 21-year-old mother has recently left a domestic violence relationship while her infant was brought into alternative care. The mother has done all that was asked of her, while continuing to advocate and provide for her daughter. A trial home visit began last week, reuniting the mother with her daughter.
