I have a family that is need of a twin bed for a 16-year-old teenage girl. The child is placed with her father and grandmother; however, the family has limited income and is unable to purchase a suitable bed. The teen is currently sleeping on a deflected air mattress that keeps deflating. This disrupts the teen sleep and prevents her from getting the proper sleep that she needs. When this need is met, this can benefit the youth at school and at home. Please consider this request, it will be greatly appreciated by the family.

Hello, I have a single mom of 6 children. This family just obtained permanent housing, however, they are in need of beds for the 6 children.

Child was reunified with his biological father after many years of being apart. Due to this fact, child is now in the care of father/family and is in need of assistance with payment for medical bills until child's new insurance is able to begin. Child and father are cooperating and grateful for any and all assistance as they are trying to begin their new life together.

The father is set to be reunited with his son in the next couple of weeks. He does not have a car seat that is required in order to transport his child to and from daycare, as well has his child's appointments.

I am working with a mother and father who have three children (ages 5, 3, and 1). The 5 y/o is diagnosed with autism and the 3 y/o may have developmental delays. The family lives near a busy street with heavy traffic, and the children have a habit of eloping. The family would benefit from having child safety locks on the front door and rear sliding door of the home in order to prevent the children from eloping from the home. The family would also benefit from door alarms to notify the parents if the children are attempting to leave the home.

Hi, please help a grandma in need of a car seat! Little baby boy (2 years and some change) is always the happiest guy and is able to walk but sometimes prefers to be carried around. Only problem is that he is a little too big for the car seat. Grandma has been doing a fantastic job with the kiddo and this shows every time he meets a new person :)

A grandmother has taken in her four grandchildren following their removal from their parents. She is struggling to make ends meet, financially, and the youngest child has outgrown her crib and needs to transition to a toddler bed in order to ensure safe sleep.

Mom is currently staying in a shelter and is in need of a stroller for her baby girl. Any help is appreciated!!

Parents would like assistance in receiving alarms that can be used for their windows and exit doors to their home to prevent their 4 year old child who is at high risk of elopement from exiting the home. The family lives in a busy area with high traffic.

Monroe County Child Protective Services works with many youths and teens who may be struggling with mental health issues as a result of previous trauma or other reasons. As a result, we often discuss with families about the importance of locking up medications and sharp objects as a precautionary measure to keep teens safe from possible self-harm. We do this in conjunction with helping a family access mental health treatment in the community. Having medium to large size lock boxes to provide to families if they cannot afford these on their own is an essential tool to support families in keeping their kids safe.

Child began residing with her mother while her father obtains permanent housing. Mother will have to drive child back and forth to school a distance of about 23 miles, 35-minute drive, until school can change the bus route which will take about 1-2 weeks. Mother needs assistance for gas for her vehicle. There is a Crosbys and a Quicklees nearby the home.
