Please help us reunify this father and son.

We have two natural parents in need of rental payment to avoid eviction from their apartment. The financial need is currently $1899.24, which would go towards the rental balance including both November and December rent, utilities, and late fees. If these parents receive financial assistance, they will be able to keep their home and keep working towards reunification with their daughter. They have stated their intentions of continuing their search for employment to plan for future months, as well as looking at income-based apartments, due to their lease ending 12/31/23. This need is urgent, as they have court 12/11/23 to determine the official date to either pay in full or vacate by.
Thank you in advance!

Mom is working, the kiddos are healthy, everything is going great! It is time to move from Grandma's to their own apartment but it's pretty empty. This family needs some furniture. A sofa, a chair, dining table and chairs, maybe a TV stand. The little girl has a crib that can be handed down to her baby brother since she's ready for a toddler bed and a dresser to store their clothes. Moving in for Christmas would be the best present they could possible receive. Donations to help make that happen would be very much appreciated; they need a lot, but donations, full or partial, can help make their lives more comfy for the holidays!

This request would help a family of 6. The children have been in the same non-paid kinship home for some time now. The families AC/Heating unit isn't working properly and they have been told they would have to purchase a new unit at any moment costing around $8,000. I understand this is a big request, if there are any companies who could offer a second opinion to ensure the family doesn't have another option. As the weather changes and it gets colder this is a concern for the family. The family has continued to love, care for, and provide for the children despite the different obstacles they have been faced with. Any help would be appreciated.

Mom lives in Texas and has made great strides to get back on track and has done so. She is currently taking care of her other child safely and financially and has paid off all her debt to get back to Oklahoma. The child recently lost his only other family member (grandmother) in which the child had a strong bond a couple of months ago from organ failure. Mom has secured the money for the Uhual; paid off all outstanding debts and has the funds for the 1st months’ rent on the new apartment in Tulsa; but is just short of the deposit. The kiddo has been placed in a new foster home and bio mom has attended and participated in all services with OKDHS, including making a complete lifestyle change to do so. We have a mother having major hardships at the moment. Her vehicle has broken down and this is making it nearly impossible to get to work and is hindering visiting with her children. Uber and Lyft is costing her a fortune and it's hard for her to keep up with everything. This mother is living pay-check to pay-check and isn't getting easier for her. This has caused her to miss family time with her children, which isn't like her. She has reached out to us pleading for whatever help she can get. A mechanic has told her that it will cost upwards $800 to fix her vehicle. With paying rent and everyday necessities she has been unable to reach that amount. The mechanic says the engine has completely gone out. She does have another vehicle the same model as the one she has now that is down due to a wreck she had. The engine in that one is fine and the mechanic advised her that that engine could be put in her current vehicle but $800 is the best price she has been given. This mother only seeks help, it doesn't have to be cash, just possibly someone that help get her vehicle up and going again. So if anyone fixes vehicles or knows someone that does she would appreciate that greatly. She is devastated that she has had to miss seeing her children when she is unable to afford or get a ride to family time. Any help from the community would benefit her in so many ways.

Hello! I have a family that wants to start working on their treatment plan and to work towards reunification. They have experienced some hardships with transportation. Neither parent has a car, and having a bus pass would allow them to be more successful in their services. It will help strengthen them as a family in their journey of rebuilding their lives together to attend services and see their children more. Thank you.

Stand in the Gap works with 16-24 year olds in or aging out of foster care. One of our young adults has an awesome team that is walking along side her for a year! Her mentors asked they could take her shopping for a winter coat, hat a gloves! This can provide a sweet bonding experience for her and her team and also makes sure she has the proper clothes for this winter! We would love to send her team a gift card so they can all go shopping together! Please consider donating to make this happen!

I have a family of 2 adults, and 5 children ages 9, 12, 13, 15, and 17. The younger 3 children report never having beds to sleep on. They report sleeping on air mattresses up until this last week when they popped, to where they are sleeping on tile floors with a blanket. The family needs assistance with beds, mattresses, sheets and pillows. Assisting this family getting mattresses will help these children get a good nights rest to thrive in academics, sports and day to day life. Christmas is coming up and would make their Holiday season special!
