Within this family in need there are three children (13 y/o girl, 11 y/o. girl, and 6 y/o boy) who have been placed in relative foster care with their 21 y/o sister. The sister is working hard to meet the needs of her siblings on such short notice. The family is in need of two twin sized mattresses and a bunk bed for the children to sleep on. They also need bedding for the beds.

They also are looking for a place to eat meals and spend time together.

The family has bed frames for two children but needs two mattresses and bedding for them; they also would appreciate a bed and bedding for the parents so everyone can sleep comfortably!

This family consists of a mom dad, and 8 children. The family is requesting a toddler bed frame and two toddlers mattresses. They could also use a baby gate. The one child has outgrown a crib. The other child need a mattress to replace the previous one. The children are currently bed sharing with siblings. The parents do not have the funds to purchase these items right now.

This request comes from the Preventive Unit. The family consists of a mother, father and two small children (ages 5 and 6 months). The family has minimal financial resources and is struggling to make ends meet. Recently, the 5 year old has become interested in the windows of the home and has been able to open the locks and open the windows. Given that the family lives in a home with two stories, there is a great deal of concern surrounding the child opening the window and potentially injuring themselves. The family is requesting window locks and/or window bars. The family has 14 windows in total, however the immediate concern is getting the upstairs windows secured. There are approximately 7 windows on the upper level of the home. The family is appreciative of any support that can be offered.

A family is in need of a toddler frame and mattress for their three-year-old child. The father is currently sleeping on the couch in the living room so the mother and child can have the bed. The family has limited resources and the child only has a crib, which he no longer can fit in.

Two Children 13F and 12F recently returned to mother's care from foster care. the sister's joined their eldest daughter 17F who was also in foster care. Sister 15F visits the home every other weekend.

The children are in need of hygiene products; additionally specifically hair products for African American hair. The eldest daughter struggles with obesity which results in hygiene issues.

Mother is adjusting to the returning of her daughters in the home and finances are limited.

This request come from the CPS Unit. A young couple has recently obtained custody of their male cousin, age 15. The child was previously residing with his biological father who failed to provide for the child’s basic needs and education. The young couple stepped up to take the child in but already has a small child at home with a fixed income. The family has been unable to afford purchasing the child some items to make the child more comfortable in their home. The family could benefit from a dresser and twin size bedding. In addition, the child came to their home without many items of clothing and is in need of clothing men’s size 3x shirts and 2x pants. The family is working to get the child reestablished in school and will need school clothes. The family is appreciative of any assistance that can be provided.

A single mother currently has custody of her 15-year-old stepdaughter and is raising five children on her own. Since the stepdaughter has come into her care, she has been sharing a bedroom with the stepmother’s biological daughter. In an effort to make space for her, the stepmother gave up her daughter’s dresser, but they are now in need of an additional dresser so that both girls have a place to store their clothes. The family is also facing clothing shortages. The stepmother’s two-year-old son is growing rapidly and wears size 4T in shirts, pants, and underwear. Due to his growth and the family’s limited financial resources, she is struggling to keep up with his wardrobe needs. The girls in the home are also in need of undergarments. They wear bra sizes 34C and 32D, and underwear in sizes extra small and medium. Additionally, the two-year-old does not currently sleep in his own room. The stepmother is working to help him transition, but he needs a toddler bed frame and a mattress to make that possible.

Greene County Department of Social Services has been working with a family of three, consisting of the father, mother and son (11) who is on the spectrum and non-verbal. The family has been diligently searching for permanent housing over the past 8 months. Fortunately, they were able to secure a two-bedroom home for their family. However, while staying in temporary housing, their belongings in a storage unit were damaged by water, including their beds. The family is eager to move into their permanent housing but are unable to until they secure beds and bedding. Currently they are sleeping on air mattresses.

This family consists of a mother, her boyfriend, and her three sons. her middle son is currently in foster care and as a teenage boy is quickly out growing his clothes. His mother and her boyfriend work sporadically and are struggling to pay the household expenses. This 13-year-old boy has grown out of his summer clothes from last year. This child has a limited wardrobe, and the family is not able to afford to buy clothes that fit and are appropriate for the season change. The child is in need of t shirts, shorts, shoes, as well as socks. This child enjoys picking out his clothes and shopping. He likes TJ MAXX or Marshalls. A gift card would be helpful.
