Currently working with a single dad who has been sober for 5 years. He has been fighting to gain custody of his 2 girls for the past 4 years and now the courts have awarded 50% custody. He found an affordable place to live but has nothing since he was staying with family. The pace is really small so he doesn't need to much, he will be sleeping in the living room so a sofa bed or futon will work.

Hello, I am making this request for a family of 9. This family recently reunited and the Department is working on stabilizing the family. The mother was provided housing by the Family Reunification Program, and is in great need with assistance to furnish the home. Previously, the mother and the children were living with the maternal grandmother, which was causing a lot of discomfort, due to there being a large amount of people living in the home. The children have stated they are thrilled to be living in a home for themselves, and are looking forward to making their new home, feel like home. The mother is currently employed, but is only making enough to support the children and additional bills. The children's ages include: 15, 14, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 5. The mother is hopeful she can have a large sectional couch, in order to be able to sit the children during family time.
I have a homeless family that is temporarily living at a hotel. This family is in need of a gas card to continue to look for housing over this holiday break.

A single Dad has been working diligently, and has been for years, to have his 3 children (ages 11, 10, and 9) returned to his care. Dad is paralyzed from the neck down, wheelchair bound, due to a spinal cord injury he sustained in 2014. He was living in Nevada when his children were removed from their mother's care due to her involvement in a violent relationship with her boyfriend. As soon as he could, Dad and his support network (his mother and sister) relocated to California in hopes of reunifying the family. Unfortunately, due to the COVID19 pandemic, he could not secure stable housing. He maintained close contact with the children, while living in motels or staying with various relatives. He was finally able to secure stable housing and has a 2-bderoom apartment. PGM lives close by and is a significant support to the family. He and the kids have been enjoying weekend visits at the home. The kids and Dad want nothing more than to be able to be together, especially since the Holidays are approaching. Dad has overcome so many obstacles. The family needs bunk beds and 2 dressers in order for the kids to be placed with Dad.
Thank you!
A family was recently reunified, and mother spent all of her resources in order to obtain and apartment to get her children returned. However, she is currently in need of a refrigerator as the one she was gifted recently broke, and she cannot afford to purchase another one. It is important that she has a refrigerator in order to meet the needs of her children and be able to store and prepare food. A refrigerator would greatly impact this family by helping the mother to meet her children's needs and keep this family together. The mother has worked hard to get her children returned, but all of her resources are currently going to rent, utilities, and basic necessities. A refrigerator could help the children from reentering care by allowing the mother to meet her children's needs. Your help is greatly appreciated to help keep this family together and help this single mother care for her children. Thank you for your help and consideration.

Requesting for a family who were living in an apartment that had black mold. To date they have received new mattresses for the 3 boys, however they do not have box springs/bed frames for them. The mattresses are on the floor. They are seeking 2 bunk bed frames for the memory foam mattresses (no box springs) needed for the 3 boys. This family is still dealing with health issues related to the black mold contamination and would be very grateful to receive the requested items to assist with returning to better health and wellness. Thank you for your consideration.

Jim:
Is she willing to wear used clothing? If so, I would like to get her whatever she needs at Assistance League thrift store, or Angel View thrift store in Temecula. There is also a big Salvation Army store in Temecula. The shop at all three stores for myself.

Student is a senior in high school. Mother died in August and Father is not present. She is currently living with her 22 year old brother. This family is a Mom and her two daughters. One is an 8th-grade student and the other is a 10th-grade student. Mom lost her job and has had to move back in with her parents. Mom is having a difficult time getting the children to school due to lack of money for gas. The 8th-grade student is already attending an independent study school. The 10th-grade student is also attending an independent study school but needs to come to school once a week, and thus far, has been unable to. Gas money would allow her to get her daughter to school when needed and help her look for employment.
