Grandparents took in their granddaughter due to mom's substance use concerns. Grandparents already care for moms 4 other children whom they all have custody of. They are requesting a baby swing for the baby as they were not prepared to have another baby in the home and financially, they are not able to purchase everything the baby needs.

I'm working with a family with 2 children in the home. Mom is disabled and we are working to get SSI or SSDI services set up currently. She has also applied for Aid to the Needy and disabled. All of these programs can sometimes take extensive time to be approved and for benefits to be issued. Mom has a housing voucher so the rent is covered, but the father of the children was previously paying child support which mom was using for their water bill primarily. The father of the children has stopped paying child support and mom has been in contact with the child support division, but their process could take extended time as well. There is one other adult in the home, the oldest son of mom. He has been unable to find steady work as well. Requirements for maintaining housing voucher with Denver Housing Authority include payment of utilities or mom could lose housing. Mom owed $419.01, but case worker and mom called Denver Water together and were able to have late fees removed from the bill bringing it down to $391.84. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I understand this is a large request. Mom understands she will need to set-up a payment plan for any remaining balance. This family has experienced homelessness previously and was very fortunate to get the housing voucher they have. We are hoping to not lose it now. Thank you in advance!

I am currently working with a single mother of two who is a survivor of domestic violence. She is currently doordashing as her primary job, but she is struggling to afford the amount of gas that goes into doordashing. She has a 4 year old son that she takes with her since she cant afford daycare. I am asking for any help in assisting mom with some gift cards for gas so ensure that she can continue to doordash while caring for her two children. The father is currently out of the picture due to a recent arrest for domestic violence against mother. I do not want mother to feel as though she needs to reply on her abuse to provide her for herself and her children.

A young couple is seeking important baby items as they prepare for the birth of their second child this summer. They are newly settled in the state, and most of their family and support live outside of the country. Though they are excited for this next season with their growing family, they are struggling to collect larger baby items. This mom is not working currently as she stays home with their two-year-old son, and her husband is their primary source of income. She has been very intentional in establishing her regular doctor’s care through this pregnancy and is also actively exploring what supports are available for their growing family. We would love to help to set them up before the birth of their child, so that they can confidently focus on the immediate needs of their two young children. They specifically need a car seat and stroller combination as well as a bassinet. These items would afford them the peace of mind of knowing they can leave the hospital after birth and set their little one up with a comfortable space at home. We are reaching out on behalf of a dedicated mother and her two young sons who are currently facing financial hardship. Despite her best efforts to provide for her family, the mother is struggling to make ends meet due to limited work opportunities and the growing burden of household expenses. One of her needs is asstiance with gas in order to be able to drive around for work. My hopes are to get her gas cards to help ease this burden.

Child has been placed with her brother who is legally blind since last year. Child is wanting to spend time with friends but it is difficult for brother to do this given his disability. Brother willfully took on the role of being a caregiver for his sibling. Brother would like to get his sister's hair done as well as nails done with her friend and would appreciate a visa gift card to help fund this. Brother takes on sole financial responsibility and doesn't have extra money for things that child is wanting.

Single mom is asking for assistance with her rent bill. Mom is on a fixed income, she receives disability. The youth reports that mom is his only support and vice versa. This rent and utility assistance will help foster stable housing, hence relieving stress off both the youth and mom, decreasing the likelihood of them being without a home. She states that she needs $300 to complete the house payment. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Client is a single mother of three, working on having the children return to her care. Client has been very engaged in treatment and has overcome significant mental health challenges and impacts from past trauma. Client is working on getting a vehicle to be able to transport the children to and from school, appointments, activities, etc. Client is trying to save money to make a down payment for a used vehicle; however, is struggling to do so as the sole financial provider of the home. Client is close to having the children return to her care; however, there are concerns about her ability to be successful without the ability to transport the children to appointments/school and assistance with a down payment for a vehicle would help ease concerns and help this mom meet the needs of the children.

They are a 18 year old who will be moving into their own apartment since being in foster care. They do not have a lot of stuff to take with them. They will need help with furniture and bedding and just furnishing their apartment in general. They are extremely responsible and have saved up a lot by working two jobs but could use the assistance as we all know starting out in a new apartment is extremely expensive.

I'm currently working with a resilient single mother of three who is navigating an incredibly difficult chapter in her life. Recently separated and in the midst of a challenging divorce, she is doing everything she can to rebuild stability for her family. Despite the emotional toll and the daily responsibilities of raising her children alone, she remains determined and proactive—actively searching for employment to provide for her family’s needs.

However, the financial strain has become overwhelming. She has fallen behind on her son’s school fees, and unless the balance is settled soon, he will not be able to return to school next year. This is not just about a missed academic year—it's a devastating prospect for a young boy who thrives in the structure and support that school offers, and for a mother who wants nothing more than to see her children safe, learning, and growing.

She carries the weight of these challenges with quiet strength, but it's clear the burden is growing too heavy to carry alone. We are doing what we can to connect her with resources, but time is short, and support is urgently needed.

Our client is a single parent that does have some help from her support, but is in need of a mattress for her newborn's crib. Her son is currently at the NICU and will be discharging soon. She is in need of baby clothes, clothes for her oldest daughter who is 4yo, diapers, and any other baby items like a baby carrier; however, her highest priority is getting a mattress for the crib so that her baby can sleep comfortably and safely!
