OKDHS is working a prevention case with a young mother of 4 children. This mother has no safe or appropriate family support and has been struggling with the cost of getting her kids to daycare so she can work. She must have the 3 younger kids in daycare but she has used all her money getting rides to the daycare. She has a ride to get them home but she has to Uber herself and the kids there in the morning. She does not get paid until Friday and she needs the kids to be in daycare until then to keep them safe and to provide them with adequate supervision while she works. We are asking for help providing this mom the means to get her kids to daycare for the rest of the week. Thank you for considering this extremely urgent need! This young single mom has no support and has been working hard to provide everything for her kids herself and needs some support.

We have a strong family that is trying to build their home from the ground up. The family has a tiny home on a piece of land they have purchased. The family is needing electric set up and water. Their most immediate need is electricity during these summer months and heat for the upcoming winter months.

A two-parent household with two children—a seven-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son—is requesting assistance with a gas card. The mother is employed full-time through her local school district, while the father works part-time and continues to actively seek full-time employment. Both parents are engaged in their services; however, travel-related expenses have become a financial burden. Gas assistance would help alleviate this strain and support the family’s continued participation in required services.

This is a request from RestoreOKC for a teenager who is in high need of wrestling shoes. He has been in the wrestling program for a few years, and the current condition of his shoes are not safe to use. This student spends his time with his wrestling team to avoid the negative influences of the neighborhood peer pressure. He has worked very hard in this sport, and the opportunity to have new Wrestling shoes would help increase his athleticism along with the added confidence and comfort they would bring. Shoe size is a men's 10 1/2. Anything would be appreciated, thank you for your time.

Foster mom and foster dad (grandparents to the child) recently adopted their grandchild. shortly after adoption they unexpectedly took in the newborn sibling. They were not expecting to take in the newborn and had given away all of the things they had for an infant leaving them with nothing for a the new baby. Grandparents have been working on getting all of the things they need and could use some help with some newborn diapers, a double stroller as the kids in their home are both very young (two under 2), and some infant formula (Enfamil Soy Formula) while waiting for OHS to be able to help support them starting in August. The family is very appreciative of any and all help they receive while helping provide a safe and loving environment for their grandchildren. They very much want to provide this safe environment for their grandkids but it has been a lot to take on as they have very young children in the home again so it is almost like they are starting over as parents. OHS is very thankful to the family and all of our community partners for helping provide for others in need.

Genesis is a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) that provides 24/7 care and support for boys who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or disruption. Our goal is to create a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment that fosters healing and growth.

We are requesting two Smart Compressor Dehumidifiers for the boys’ home. Oklahoma’s high humidity levels, especially during the summer months, can lead to unsafe moisture buildup in bedrooms and shared living spaces. This puts the children at risk for respiratory issues, mold exposure, and general discomfort.

These dehumidifiers will help regulate indoor humidity, protect air quality, and promote a healthier living environment for the boys in our care. Most importantly, this creates safer sleeping conditions and supports overall well-being, particularly for individuals with asthma or other allergies or sensitivities.

Meeting this need will directly improve the health and safety of our residents, allowing us to maintain a stable and nurturing home environment.

Our team is requesting a portable air conditioner for the garage workspace of our dedicated maintenance staff member at Genesis. The Oklahoma summer heat and humidity are extreme, and his garage can become dangerously hot. This air conditioner will help regulate the temperature and protect his health and well-being as he works.

Our maintenance man is an essential part of keeping our residential program running safely and smoothly. He is often the first to respond to urgent facility issues, and his reliability has a direct impact on the safety and stability of the boys in our care. Without him, we would not be able to provide the safe, functional, and dignified environment these children deserve.

By meeting this need, you are directly supporting the well-being of the children in our program by ensuring the safety and sustainability of the man who makes so much of that possible.

A family currently without a place to live is in need of an apartment. The cost of the apartment deposit is $600, which is double due to client not having a rental history. The family consists of the mother and one child. The goal for this family is reunification and having an apartment for the parent to live in while completing required services, will enable her services to be worked faster and reunification to occur faster. Her Section 8 voucher for the rent and her income would financially support the monthly housing expenses, but she did not have the additional money to pay the $600 deposit.

RestoreOKC is working with a graduate of our supportive employment program to move into one of our single family homes. She is currently in leadership with our Wellspring Cleaning Company and has worked with us for almost 4 years. In this time she has grown in her ability to recognize and grow in her confidence and has gained stability for her family. Recently she was accepted into our Phase 2 rental housing program that creates affordable housing and pathways to home ownership, but due to a restrictive lease at her current apartment, she is needing help with her first month's rent. If a church is willing to come alongside her in this way, she and her son will be able to start transitioning over to the new house! Help preserve a foster home with an infant car seat!

Please assist a foster home with a rear-facing infant car seat for a 9 month old child. The foster home has been a reliable respite home for this child over the past few months and has decided to take placement of him when he needed to be moved. A carseat would help the family in transporting the child in family vehicles.

Hello and good evening. I have a bio mother who graduated from a substance abuse facility and has maintained employment. Currently, the mother has secured housing for herself and the inspection was cleared for her to move in. However, before she can move in, she is required to turn on the electricity, which will cost approximately $300 to turn on. The mother has other fees/fines to pay and would need help getting this utility turned on. Thank you so much.

Mother has four small children in an apartment complex and is needing cameras to help with supervision, safety of the children, and safety for her home.
