One of the barriers our families often face is not being able to afford to put their students into school sports due to the cost associated. This student has expressed to mom that he wants to play football and attend football camp this summer and Mom really wants to support him in this decision but cannot financially. This student has made great strides academically this year and wants to try something new. We are looking for someone willing to help cover the cost of camp ($30) and provide a pair of cleats so he can attend football camp this summer. Thank you!

A loving grandparent has been caring for her 8-year-old granddaughter that was recently attacked by a dog back in March 2025, which caused her granddaughter to lose an eye. The child has undergone surgeries and multiple doctor's visits to get the treatment she needs. Grandmother is trying to work as many hours as possible but with the many trips to appointments she has only been able to work a day or two a week. This is causing her to lose the income that she is used to living on and falling behind on her expenses. Currently she is behind two months on rent ($750/month), two months on her car loan ($659/month), her AES is $374, and her CenterPoint is behind at $300. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A single mother and her two children are currently staying in a hotel after an electrical fire displaced them from their rental home, which they had just moved into in April. While the Red Cross and her insurance covered the first four nights, insurance is now making it difficult to extend their stay. Their current room is only covered until 11 AM today.

A mother of two children that works full time has gotten behind on rental assistance. She owes $380, and if not paid, there will be a $100 late fee as of tomorrow May 6th. The mother got behind due to having medical concerns in January that are still getting figured out. She has had to go to several doctors appointments and is still trying to get to the bottom of the concerns. Missing work has lead to getting behind on rent. Please consider helping to pay, so that the family can continue to have stable housing while the mother navigates these uncertain times.

A loving grandmother has opened her home to her three-month-old grandson. While the family is navigating this new venture in their lives, they are facing the need for size 2 diapers and 3–6-month size clothes. The baby is needing summer clothes and pajamas and baby bottles. Any assistance with providing these needs would help the family transition into their new role.

Single mother of two children under the age of four years old is in need of deposit assistance. This mother was historically involved with the children's biological father who was physically abusive towards her. She often would not follow through with the TPO process, until January 2025. Mother successfully obtained a TPO for herself and her children in January 2025. She has minimal support in Dayton, Oh, therefore she is moving to Columbus, Oh to be near her father and brother for the safety and support of herself and her children. She has gained an emergency transfer of her Section 8 vouchers. She has also been approved for more than half of the deposit amount from Artemis. She is still in desperate need of $600 to make up the difference of the deposit of $1775.00.

A loving family opened their home and adopted four children and have three biological children. The family is desperate to increase security measures throughout their home as they work through significant behavioral challenges with one of their adoptive children. This would provide the family with peace of mind when they cannot have eyes in all areas of their home. They need two cameras at $225/each and a $75 installation fee with a total of $525. Assistance with the funding of the cameras would help give the family the ability to move quickly and allow their funding to be more allocated to their children's care.

Finding a job can be such a long and difficult process. This single mom has been out of work due to a medial condition and has just recently been cleared to go back at her full capacity. She has been working in fast food while she looks for something more consistent, but it isn't really enough for her to pay her bills. Mom was just approved for an income based payment plan through Duke, but it will not take affect for a couple billing cycles. Mom does not currently have the $171 due to Duke at this time and is very concerned about falling into disconnect. The complex where she lives has a policy that could cause her to be evicted if a utility bill is in disconnect. Please consider helping this mom and her child stay in their home with the lights on.
