A single mother has a son that is diagnosed with autism. This mother has been proactive in services for her son and meets his daily requirements. Mom works full-time to do the best she is able to meet all of her son's needs. Mom is financially limited and will appreciate any assistance in helping her son. A family is in need of two twin beds for a 10 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. The beds they are currently sleeping on are ripped and dirty. The family is in also in need of living room furniture. The family will be appreciative of any assistance. The mother works full-time at a local pizza chain and is financially limited.

I have a household of three, mom is doing all she can to keep her family afloat. Recently, her life has been overturned: her work hours have been reduced, cutting deeply into her income. Compounding this challenge is her ongoing battle with medical issues, leaving her physically and financially strained. Once able to provide for her family with stability, she now finds herself scrambling to pay for the essentials, rent and is finding it hard just to keep a roof over their heads and maintain basic necessities. This family needs a helping hand to get back on their feet. Now, more than ever, this family is searching for a lifeline. A small act of kindness could make a world of difference, helping them bridge the gap and regain hope for a brighter future.

Due to the kinship parent living on a fixed income, he is needing help with getting items needed to insure a kinship placement .

Adopted family has an autistic child with some medical needs. This little boy has had to undergo multiple surgeries and possibly more in the future. His condition causes severe pain. When he is not in pain, he is the sweetest little boy but when he is in pain he has violent outbursts. Before the family moved to their current town they had him in biofeedback therapy which helped him regulate his emotions. But due to the family's current location there are no providers. There is a Biofeedback program which can be done at home but insurance will not cover the cost. We are hoping to find a sponsor willing to pay for a year's subscription which is $336.

We have two children. age 2 and 8 months who have to change foster homes. There is a home closer to the biological family, and it will allow more family time and connections to the biological family. The new foster home is in need of beds for the children in order to take placement. When the children are returned to their parent's care, the beds will go home with them. This will allow them to have safe bedding at home when the time comes.

We have a foster home that recently took placement of a 2-year-old. Currently, the 2-year-old only has a play pen and is in need of a toddler bed and mattress. The home is not able to afford one, at this time, and we are asking for any assistance. Thank you!

A mother is needing gas assistance for a visitation with her two children this Friday. The Department and foster parents are assisting with transportation of the children because one is two hours south and one is 3 hours north, so the visitation is set halfway for the furthest child as he is handicapped. Mom has her own transportation but is unemployed at this time. Mom does have a gas car and would be able to get to the visit and back on approximately $40. Any assistance would be appreciated.

A mother and father are currently unemployed and looking for a new place to live. Parents are needing a toddler bed, mattress, and bedding for their 2 year old daughter. Both parents are currently unemployed. Dad is actively looking for employment. Any assistance to help this family will be greatly appreciated.

This family consists of a mother and her two teenage daughters who came to be involved with OKDHS this month due to the recent loss of the grandmother and the conditions of the home following the grandmother’s hoarding tendencies. The mother and her girls moved into the home to help care for the grandmother during her last few years and the grandmother didn't like to get rid of anything. Now that the grandmother has passed the family knows it is time to clean up the property. Unfortunately, they have been overwhelmed by the amount of trash and various items on the property to the point where it has impacted their mental health and is a constant daily struggle for them. The mother is ready to get started and we are asking for help on behalf of her and her family. At this time the family would benefit most from the following. 1. cleaning supplies - bleach, brooms, mops, bathroom cleaner, kitchen cleaner, sponges, vinegar, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, garbage bags. 2. laundry supplies - laundry detergent, fabric softener, etc. 3. a roll away dumpster. If you are feeling led to assist in any way, big or small, this family would greatly appreciate any and all assistance.

A young father is in trial reunification with his three year old son. Biological dad has worked his plan and has done what has been asked to have his son with him. Dad works a full-time job but with bills and raising a small child he is financially limited. Dad is asking for a car seat for a three year old, size 3 pullups for a boy, and baby wipes. Dad is in the process of potty training his son but his son is active and some days has no interest in taking time to go to the potty. Any assistance for this young father is greatly appreciated.
