Grandparents took in their granddaughter due to mom's substance use concerns. Grandparents already care for moms 4 other children whom they all have custody of. They are requesting a baby swing for the baby as they were not prepared to have another baby in the home and financially, they are not able to purchase everything the baby needs.

I am working with a family that has three teenage boys who are in need of dressers to store clothing in. The family has a current open assessment for a domestic violence incident and the mom is currently unemployed and going to start culinary school in June (2nd). The boys are in need of storage for their clothing due to the previous dressers being broken. Due to space/capacity of the children's room, two drawers would suffice. The family would be open to used dressers. I have also provided links to two dressers, either option would work! Thank you so much!

I'm working with a family with 2 children in the home. Mom is disabled and we are working to get SSI or SSDI services set up currently. She has also applied for Aid to the Needy and disabled. All of these programs can sometimes take extensive time to be approved and for benefits to be issued. Mom has a housing voucher so the rent is covered, but the father of the children was previously paying child support which mom was using for their water bill primarily. The father of the children has stopped paying child support and mom has been in contact with the child support division, but their process could take extended time as well. There is one other adult in the home, the oldest son of mom. He has been unable to find steady work as well. Requirements for maintaining housing voucher with Denver Housing Authority include payment of utilities or mom could lose housing. Mom owed $419.01, but case worker and mom called Denver Water together and were able to have late fees removed from the bill bringing it down to $391.84. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I understand this is a large request. Mom understands she will need to set-up a payment plan for any remaining balance. This family has experienced homelessness previously and was very fortunate to get the housing voucher they have. We are hoping to not lose it now. Thank you in advance!

Mom was had aa assessment for the family with the ongoing caseworker for DV kids were in the home when The father was in a standoff and he barricaded himself in the home while chidden were present with police children remained the home with Mother she has all 3 three kids in the home with her and Father in this assessment has to live outside of the the home due to other concerned for our involvement . Mother take car of all the children by herself and cannot work as their family dynamics look different with Father out of the home. it was decided that the family would need to baby proof the home. The assessment would close out DHS services and family would get resources for DHS for baby proofing items' needed . One of the children is almost 16 months and can current access areas of the home that are not safe . This family came in with concerns for lack of supervision. This is a blended family and there are 7 children in the household. When discussing the concerns the family expressed feeling overwhelmed with all the children; dad is currently looking for employment and they really want CCAP for the non-school aged kiddos so mom can also look for employment. 5 out of the 7 children are under 5 years old. One of the children is a baby and the 5 year old mom stated is on the spectrum. These parents are just asking for additional support and resources to keep the children safe. Mother recently went through a fairly violent domestic violence incidence in the home with her partner. Her children were home at the time of the incident. There is currently a protection order in place between mother and her partner but she fears that he will return or retaliate. Our DV consultant at the county suggested a security device that Mom could use when she is home alone with the children. It is called the Brinks Security Bar and we were told that it sells at Walmart. We figured she would need one for each exterior door (3 total).

A young couple is seeking important baby items as they prepare for the birth of their second child this summer. They are newly settled in the state, and most of their family and support live outside of the country. Though they are excited for this next season with their growing family, they are struggling to collect larger baby items. This mom is not working currently as she stays home with their two-year-old son, and her husband is their primary source of income. She has been very intentional in establishing her regular doctor’s care through this pregnancy and is also actively exploring what supports are available for their growing family. We would love to help to set them up before the birth of their child, so that they can confidently focus on the immediate needs of their two young children. They specifically need a car seat and stroller combination as well as a bassinet. These items would afford them the peace of mind of knowing they can leave the hospital after birth and set their little one up with a comfortable space at home. Single parent of three children needs help with household items for the kids, the family is facing instability with housing. Family is looking at options with family and rapid resolution. They have limited clothing, only what they can carry with them across moves. Needs clothing and hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, & deodorant). Used/New clothing. Single mom is asking for assistance with her rent bill. Mom is on a fixed income, she receives disability. The youth reports that mom is his only support and vice versa. This rent and utility assistance will help foster stable housing, hence relieving stress off both the youth and mom, decreasing the likelihood of them being without a home. She states that she needs $300 to complete the house payment. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A mom of a 9 year old and 3 month old is in need of your support. After welcoming a new baby into her family this last February, this woman has faced some unexpected challenges. Her newborn baby has had many medical challenges, requiring endless doctors' visits and facing many unknowns. This mama has taken it all in stride, but this hardship is wearing on her family physically, emotionally, and financially. This woman and her husband left most of their support system in their home country a year ago, and are navigating these stressors primarily on their own. They are in need of some crucial items to help support the recovery, safety, and wellbeing of their newborn son: a travel system, a crib and crib mattress. Having these larger items covered would help to lift some of this mother's burden in caring for her family. A teenage girl was placed into a kinship providers home due to ongoing concerns of neglect with her family. The youth was placed without any clothes and is needing clothing to meet her basic needs. The kinship provider is a single mom, and has a hard time affording many extra expenses. The youth enjoys shopping at marshals and would benefit from picking out some clothing to make her feel more at home and sustain this placement.
