Custody was recently returned to mom. Mom lives in subsidized housing and receives SSI as her only form of income. She has four children but the two girls don't have beds. They are in need of a bunk bed set as their room is small. Mom doesn't have enough money to afford beds for the girls. They are currently sharing a twin mattress on the floor. Requesting help with a bunk bed set.

MCCS is working towards reunification with a bio father. He received SSI for his son prior to removal, so dad lost that income & SNAP benefits. Father works 16hrs/week at Kroger. He has significant anxiety that affects daily functioning. Father reports needing $400 to pay his $900 rent for May by 5/16/25 to prevent eviction filing. Requesting assistance to help father maintain his housing.

The agency is in process of reunifying a family. The family is in need of 3 twin beds for their children ages 8, 13, and 3 (two boys and one girl). They will also need appropriate bedding.

Maternal grandmother needs assistance obtain bedding for her granddaughter's toddler bed. Grandma had to take temporary leave from her employer in order to take in her granddaughter, and she has a limited amount of resources. The child was removed from her parents due to mental health and domestic violence concerns. The granddaughter is going to be 2 years old in July. She like Bluey, Minnie Mouse, and the color pink.

A foster mother is in need of emergency aid, as she is trying to care for two babies on her own. She has tried to use financial assistance from Salvation Army with no luck. She has also submitted an application for PRC and has an interview for that process next week. However, she has been given an eviction notice and has no where to go to keep her babies safe and care for them until then. Upon first working with this mother in our search for resources, the first thing she wanted to show me was a picture of her babies. They are her whole world and they are counting on her.

This request is for a car seat for a child that is 40-60 pounds to support a kinship placement. The grandmother of this child has just recently taken over the sole care of her grandson and granddaughter (newborn). Her grandson has autism and she has already raised money to pay for the registration fee into his special needs day program. She raised $650 by making dinner plates for people to buy out of her own home. Her grandkids health and safety means everything to her and she is working so hard to maintain that. She is also working toward her license to be an in-home childcare provider to not only be more equipped to care for her grandchildren but to also be able to provide care for other children in her community. Despite being a cancer survivor and faced with losing her job and other financial hardships, this one woman has remained so positive and so full of light for the little ones she cares so much about.

A loving grandmother and her 4-year-old granddaughter are in need of rental assistance in the amount of $3,074 or they will be at risk of eviction. Grandma had lost her job earlier this year and as a result fell behind on rent. She has since found a new job and is confident she will be able to stay on top of rent moving forward. One of the barriers our families often face is not being able to afford to put their students into school sports due to the cost associated. This student has expressed to mom that he wants to play football and attend football camp this summer and Mom really wants to support him in this decision but cannot financially. This student has made great strides academically this year and wants to try something new. We are looking for someone willing to help cover the cost of camp ($30) and provide a pair of cleats so he can attend football camp this summer. Thank you!

A loving grandparent has been caring for her 8-year-old granddaughter that was recently attacked by a dog back in March 2025, which caused her granddaughter to lose an eye. The child has undergone surgeries and multiple doctor's visits to get the treatment she needs. Grandmother is trying to work as many hours as possible but with the many trips to appointments she has only been able to work a day or two a week. This is causing her to lose the income that she is used to living on and falling behind on her expenses. Currently she is behind two months on rent ($750/month), two months on her car loan ($659/month), her AES is $374, and her CenterPoint is behind at $300. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A single mother and her two children are currently staying in a hotel after an electrical fire displaced them from their rental home, which they had just moved into in April. While the Red Cross and her insurance covered the first four nights, insurance is now making it difficult to extend their stay. Their current room is only covered until 11 AM today.

The mother has appointments with apartment complexes this week but needs temporary housing in the meantime. We’re seeking help to cover one additional week at the hotel, which is offered to her at a discounted rate of $109 per night. The total cost for 7 nights is $763. Any support to help keep this family safely housed during this difficult transition is deeply appreciated.

A loving grandmother welcomed her two-year-old grandchild into her home along with her four other children. She was recently approved for a better housing option but is falling short on the deposit to hold their spot. She is also in need of pots, pans, towels, washcloths, lamps, a twin bed, twin bedding, underwear, socks, pull-ups and a potty-training chair. Any assistance to help this family get into a better home and provide them with the essentials they need would be beneficial in a stable home for all the children.

A mother of two children that works full time has gotten behind on rental assistance. She owes $380, and if not paid, there will be a $100 late fee as of tomorrow May 6th. The mother got behind due to having medical concerns in January that are still getting figured out. She has had to go to several doctors appointments and is still trying to get to the bottom of the concerns. Missing work has lead to getting behind on rent. Please consider helping to pay, so that the family can continue to have stable housing while the mother navigates these uncertain times.
