I am reaching out on behalf of a mother in our community who is currently facing financial hardship due to a current illness. She has three children and is struggling to meet basic daily needs. One immediate way we believe we could offer support is by providing a gas card. This would help her access essential resources such as food, medical appointments, and other necessities for her family. Any assistance you are able to provide would be deeply appreciated.

Grandmother is the foster parent of her granddaughter which is currently is DHS custody. Grandmother has been trying very hard to make ends meet being that she is living off SSI. Grandmother is asking for help to transport her granddaughter back and forth to school. Grandmother is also very low on groceries and is seeking anything that can help her prepare full course meals for her granddaughter. Grandmother has not received any help financially and has reached out for help. Please contact me if you are willing to help a grandmother in need.

Hello! We are looking for a little help for a father that has successfully reunified with his children. This dad has really gone above and beyond to ensure his children were returned, and issues were corrected. There were some issues at reunification that actually resulted in the kids being returned about 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Dad needs a little help meeting the financial needs a little early. We are asking for a lawn mower any in working order will help! His yard is not large so a push mower is much appreciated. Shortly after the children were returned his clothes dryer bit the dust. We are asking for an electric clothes dryer in working condition if possible. Any help is appreciated!

This kinship family would like to send the two teenagers in the home to church camp this summer. This camp offers a week long camp near the family's home where the teenagers could go for some encouragement and fun. The children have been through a lot this year and have recently started to act out. The foster parents feel it would be beneficial for the teens to be around their peers in a Christian environment.

I have a dad whose children have recently come into custody. He is needing an out of state birth certificate. We are requesting the funds to order the birth certificate so that he can obtain ID which he does not currently have. Without id, he cannot get a job or access services.

We have been working with a family of three in Payne County for about two months. The home consists of a single mother of two very young girls. The mother has been working on maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for her children. She is working hard to be able to provide for her girls but often struggles due to low income. The mother would like assistance in obtaining funds to enroll in a driving school. The driving school in Cushing is called Safety First Driving Academy and the cost is $420. By providing this resource, the mother would be given the opportunity to gain more independence and provide more for her children, giving the family a feeling of being supported by the community. Please help a recently single mother who has fled from an unsafe situation. The mother has four littles all under the age of 6. The mother has taken the steps to keep her children safe by filing for divorce and relocating. The mother was displaced, and she is now attempting to rebuild her life. The mother has found a safe place for her and her children, but she is unable to come up with utility deposit. The mother does not have much support, and we would like to help her come up with the money that is required for her new home. Thank you.

Parents of five are need of transportation assistance to get to family time at the DHS office, which is difficult from their location on the bus. An Uber or Lyft card would support them to see their children.

OKDHS is working a prevention case with a family of 4 children. The oldest child went to live with his father, but his father has had a difficult time staying in touch with his son and needs to be able to get ahold of his son's school. This father recently lost his job due to car trouble and this left him unable to pay for his phone service. Not having phone service has made it difficult for his son's school to contact him about important issues. This father needs help with restoring his phone service. He also needs a $30 part for his car to get it up and running again to allow him to be able to work again. Thank you for your generous help and the support you provide the families in our community!

Hello! We are asking you to please help a child with some size 2T-3T night-time pullups. The child is placed in a kinship foster home and in running through pullups very quickly. Due to the rate of pullups used, the foster family is unable to keep up with the supply. Thank you for your generosity.
