Foster parents are asking for help with a specialty formula for a three month old baby who is having trouble eating and WIC does not cover that specialty formula in order to help continue baby’s weight gain. So far, after switching to this formula, the baby has consistently gained weight at an appropriate rate, however the problem is that it is tough to find and very expensive. Foster parents have drove around to Oklahoma City, Arkansas, and Locust Grove to secure some since this baby came into care. The baby is placed with adopted sibling and has had issues from birth, but the foster parents have done a great job looking after this baby and making sure the baby’s developmental needs are met. The specialty formula is “Enfamil AR (added rice).” FM asked for reimbursement of $250 and/or cans of formula. Anything would help this foster family care for this baby. Worker put 12 cans, however foster parents will take any help since this baby will be taking this formula for a while.

Family in need of help! This family consists of an 18-month-old in a kinship placement with his grandmother and uncle who are both on SSI, therefore income is extremely limited. A medical examination is needed asap for the uncle as part of the policy requirements, and his primary care doctor does not have an opening until late July. The family is in need of $66 to cover the cost of the medical exam at a local urgent care so that the medical examination can be completed in time.

This request is for a family that started fostering in 2021. Right away, they excepted a sibling set of three kids because the family did not want the children to be separated. They knew there were going to be many sacrifices because there wasn’t enough room for each child to have their own room including their own child. However, they were determined to make it work because they wanted these children to stay together in order for them to overcome their traumatic experiences. It has been a rough couple of years with limited space, but recently an opportunity came up and they were able to find a bigger home that would provide each child with their own bedroom. This is something that the foster children have never experienced and now will have an opportunity to know what that is like, be a little more “normal”. They are now in need of 3 dressers for the children.
Father of three children who have been in DHS custody for a year is in need of completing a program which requires an initial assessment. The initial assessment fee is 95.00 and the father is not able to cover the cost at this time. The program that needs to be completed is 52 weeks long, so the father getting started as soon as possible is important. Permanency worker is asking for someone to pay the assessment fee.

I have a mom who got behind on the rent when she had to take off work to have a baby. She's been able to get almost all the way caught up but is still a little short. With her rent caught up, we'll feel more secure in closing her case, knowing she has a safe place for her children to stay.

Please consider helping a mother and father with a new convertible car seat for their baby. Today is their baby girl's first birth day and she is in need of a bigger car seat. The parents have been progressing in their case and have been able to move to unsupervised family time with their daughter. They are also transporting her during their family time together. They were previously able to use the foster parents' car seat and were not prepared to have to buy a new one just yet. A new car seat is a big expense for them as they do not have much money. Thank you for your consideration.

Good afternoon. I’m Christina Flowers, a school-based specialist with Union Public Schools. I’m currently working with a family that consists of a single mother with five children 7 years old and younger. This mom recently started a new job and fell behind on her rent while in between jobs. She was also making large payments toward a debt she owed to avoid garnishment. This single mother agreed to a settlement for this debt that required her to pay a certain amount with the balance being written off. She has reached out to multiple resources provided to her but has been unsuccessful with receiving assistance. This mother is seeking assistance to help her family remain in their home. She stated with assistance she’ll be able to maintain her rent moving forward. The monthly rent is $1200, the outstanding balance is $2750, but any amount will be greatly appreciated.

A mom and dad are experiencing barriers that are preventing trial reunification to start with their 4 year old baby girl. The parents are needing assistance with their maintenance cost for their vehicle. The parents have scheduled court dates that they will need to attend. They are also struggling with getting to and from work. Mom and dad does not have family in the Tulsa area that would be able to assist them at this time. The parents are needing a reliable vehicle so that when reunification starts, they will be able to take their baby girl to school. If anyone could assist with helping this family, any contributions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping our families.

The family recently took placement of a child and the foster parent recently had a new born. The family is needing some help and assistance cleaning up their yard and some trimming. The family just recently was able to move back into the home after a fire and remodel of the home. The other adult in the home is elderly and not able to do a lot of the hard work. Helping this family will ensure placement and get back on track for outdoor activities.

We are in the process of reunifying a mother and her young daughter. This little girl has not been in custody for very long, but her mother has committed herself fully to changing the conditions that brought her into custody in order to bring her daughter home. As this mom is without a driver's license or vehicle, we have provided her with a bus pass to assist with transportation. In order to assist further, this mom has requested a bicycle to use for independent transportation as well. This request is for a bicycle with a basket for an adult woman. Any help is greatly appreciated! This request can be fulfilled via donation as well, we do not need a brand new bicycle. If anyone has a spare that would fit an adult woman (about 5 foot 5 inches tall), that would work as well!

Hello, I am more than happy to speak on behalf of a mother who has done so well to move out of an unsafe environment and into a safe and stable home. This mother is making huge strides and could use some help in this new start. Single mother of 5 children is in need of everything to start up a new home. It was recommended by DHS she leave everything behind for the health and wellness of the family. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! The family needs the household items listed below. Thank you for everything you do. You are greatly appreciated! If you have anything beyond the list she would be more than happy with any household items.

Loving Kinship placement is needing gas and food card help for two reasons, they are needing to be at court in Antlers OK, and they would like to assist in helping with some visits with mom who lives in Antlers. Gas cards that work in the Antlers area are Shell, mainly or Choctaw, or just a prepaid card of some sort. Feeding a family of four on the road is not easy but being able to eat at McDonald’s, Subway, or Sonic would also be greatly appreciated. This Kinship is trying hard to work with the deep traumas and issues the children have faced and they are working to bridge all that they can at this time. However, they are not a paid placement yet and they have been receiving no help whatsoever. They are unable to assist in any of this without some help. Thank you so much in advance for praying and looking over this family’s need!
