I am helping a mother who has very little clothing for herself. She currently has 1 t-shirt, a pair of pajama pants, and a pair of crocs. She has no resources right now in order to get clothes. By helping her, she would be able to care for her personal hygiene, stay warm in the cold weather, and look for a job in the appropriate outfit. She wears size Large in shirts, size Large in leggings/joggers, and size 9 in shoes.
Mom needs some help with having someone come out regularly to spray for bugs or at least to get her started for a couple of months till she can get on her feet and pay for it herself. She just informed us that she has roaches in her home, and they have gotten bad. By helping her to get it sprayed a few times the bugs will be gone, and they won't invade their home and their food and belongings.
I have a single mom with four kids who is struggling financially. Her phone runs out of service soon and she does not have the money to pay the bill to keep it on. By helping her she will be able to make calls, receive calls, and calls about her children and appointments.
A single mom who was reunited with her children, is needing some assistance with rent during the holidays. She is the sole provider for her family with children that have medical needs, ages 2 (boy) and age 4 (female). Mom has been trying to pay her rent as she gets paid but lost an income from separating from her children's father who is not providing financial support to their children. Any assistance towards her rent this holiday season would be greatly appreciated. If more information is needed please contact Case Worker.

A set of grandparents, one being on disability and unable to work due to poor medical health, is raising their granddaughter and just moved to Kansas from Arizona. They have been very low on funds due to the move and having to make several appointments for medical and mental health in order to establish physicians. They are in need of an electric stove for their home. They are having a hard time making meals and keeping up with the nutritious needs of the child without a proper working stove. With a working stove, the family would be able to make more meals and relieve some stress that they have been dealing with since the move.
Hello, I am a foster care specialist with a resource family in Ottawa County that is need of two full size bed frames and mattresses. This single foster mother has taken placement of two children, ages 10 and 5. The 10-year-old has really started to out-grow the twin size bed that she is currently sleeping in. The boards under the bed are beginning to break, since it has become too small for the child. Also, since the 5-year-old will be needing a larger bed size in the future, we are trying to be proactive in assisting this family with an additional bed frame and mattress for this child as well. However, a bigger bed frame and mattress is a necessity at this point for the older child in the home.

A single mom has moved from her parents into her own apartment. She has her kids 5 days a week and 2 nights a week. The family is set to reunify within the next 3 months. The children and Mom have beds and toys, but have no other furniture. The family would benefit from a sofa and coffee table or side tables to make their home feel like a home. The family would also benefit from having a kitchen table. This mother goes to OTC and works when she is not caring for her children. Furniture may be used, but in good condition.

A bio mom has worked hard to reunify with her 2 and a half year-old son and he has now been back in her home for over a month. Mom currently does not have a washer or dryer at her apartment and has been going to the laundromat outside of her family time visits. Having a dryer in her residence would greatly help as her son has autism and weekly trips to the laundromat for extended periods of time are a difficult outing for him. Any help with this request is greatly appreciated and this request can be met by multiple parties if necessary. Thank you for all you do!

Mount Arukah houses teenage girls who have survived sex trafficking. The residents are learning New Life Skills and one of them is Etiquette Sessions with Good Manners in Tulsa. This is a great learning experience that they will take into their adult lives. It is a one-and-a-half-hour sessions for each category. Good Manners will have the residents in a 6-week program and have four different categories for the residents. The second category, they will be going over is Personal Appearance and Dating and being responsible x 2 sessions. To be able to work with Good Manner we need the funds for each category. The fee is $300 per category. Personal Appearance and Dating class covers body image and conflict resolution, behaving as a young respectable teenager in the dating world, understanding boundaries, and respectful behavior toward others. The fee covers printed material that covers areas of the nominated sessions.Thank you!
Burmese Family #1
Catholic Charities will welcome a Burmese refugee family in December. This family is a mom with three teenagers. We do not have beds for the family and would welcome help providing the family with beds. I do not have a firm date for when they will arrive in December, but we will set up their apartment on December 4th. Then after they are welcomed at the airport, they will go straight to their furnished apartment with their case manager!
Gender Neutral Items are best.
Catholic Charities will walk with this family thru immediate case management for 3 months after their arrival. We will help with apartment set up, legal documents (like SS#), job placement, establishing medical care, enrolling the kids in school, and much more. Helping the family with household items is a huge way to help the family get established in Tulsa!
