Mom of four children had to leave her rental due to mold. As it is being repaired, she placed all the children's clothing and shoes in her car. She went to Walmart on 5/21 and the car, with all the clothing inside, was stolen. She made a police report but is now facing the problem with clothing her four children. There are 3 girls, ages 16, 15 and 11 and one boy age 13. They are still in school & desperately need clothing & shoes. They would be happy with donated clothing or whatever the community can provide.

The 16-year-old girl wears size XL, shoes size 5 or 5.5 The 15-year-old girl wears size M or L, shoes size 5 The 11-year-old girl wears size Small or size 12 (in a girl's size), shoes size 1 The 13-year-old boy wears size Large, shoes size 5

Single mother is residing with her four children in one bedroom apartment. She is non-English speaking and has very limited support. She has been able to maintain her apartment but is struggling financially to make ends meet. Due to her lack of work experience and inability to speak English, she has not been able to maintain employment. The children are in need of clothing and beds.

The caregiver is the maternal great great grandmother who currently has placement of her 16 year old and 3 year old great grandchildren. She is 79, retired, and is in need of a deep cleaning service for her home (2 floors). Both children have extremely high needs, opposite schedules, and are both diagnosed with developmental delays and engaged many behavioral support services includeing ABA, Occupational therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech therapy, and behavioral health services weekly. The oldest child recently brought cats into the home that had 5 babies, and soiled their floors, and some furniture. Cleanliness was not a concern prior. Although the kittens have been rehomed, due to their presence, the children’s schedules, and the caregiver being a senior, the caregiver has only been able to manage spot cleaning, rather than a full cleaning and re-organizing of the home. A thorough deep cleaning and home organization would create a healthier, safer environment essential for the children’s well-being and therapy progress. This one-time support would relieve her stress, allowing her to focus fully on enriching the children’s lives and maintaining their placement in a safe, stable, nurturing home. The caregiver is also open to weekly meal drop off or ongoing support in other capacities.

This family is currently facing a critical situation — they are behind on their utility bills and have been given just one week to make a payment before their services are shut off. Despite her best efforts, the grandmother is unable to cover the overdue amount on her fixed income. We are seeking sponsors or community support to help this family stay in their home with basic utilities. Any assistance, whether financial or through referrals to local resources, would make a tremendous difference in helping them through this difficult time.

She is a full-time student at RCC, pursuing a degree in social work, and is on track to graduate early next year. Brothers and Sisters, we have a single mother of 6 children who is pregnant and in need of a vehicle to help with an emergency situation she is currently facing. Her 6 children, ages 14, 11, 5, twins ages 1.5 years and currently pregnant expected in 2 months. One of daughters is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and need constant care. This mother is currently facing an unimaginable hardship in which her oldest child contracted Mono (virus) and has been hospitalized for 4 months now at UCLA. Unfortunately, the doctors now believe that he now has cancer. There are great unexpected incurring medical expenses that the family is trying to figure out how they will finance this new financial challenge. However, the greatest need that this mother faces is transportation. She has been with out a car and due to lack of transportation and she is having to pay for an Uber. She only see's her son at the hospital about once per week due to great financial strain. We are asking if there is a way that you can meet the needs of getting/giving her a vehicle to travel back and forth from home to Los Angeles with her kids. The hardship is immense and we are praying that the Lord will fulfill this need. This mother has a driver's license and is able to maintain the car if one is donated to her.

A grandmother is preparing for an upcoming surgery and will be spending time in a recovery home as she heals. During this period, her grandson will be staying with extended family. While she focuses on her health, she is deeply concerned about ensuring he has enough nutritious food and essentials while she is away.

Please help a single mother who is currently experiencing some financial hardships. She is requesting a baby jumper to assist with child's gross motor developmental skills. Client does not have extra financial means to purchase one on her own.

We are working to help keep a family together and housed as they risk becoming homeless at the end of this month. This family's Dependency case has been open now for 3 years after concerns of domestic violence and substance abuse forced these two teenagers to live with non-relatives as their Mom has worked hard to become sober. Our Clients are a 17-year old girl and a 15-year old boy who recently were able to move back in with their Mom after the Court deemed it was safe to. However, while Mom has been aided by a housing voucher, it is set to expire at the end of May. She has just started a new job and is actively seeking new housing where all 3 of them will be able to continue to live together. Both of our teenage clients have been attending high school regularly again and are just beginning to have stability once more. Mom has shared that the biggest help she can ask for right now is with money to pay for car insurance for the next 6 months. She and her kids have been taking the bus everywhere because she is not able to pay the insurance of approximately $1400. She has also shared that if she is unable to find housing but is able to drive and use the car again once the insurance is paid, that at least they can rely on safely living in the car until they can secure housing again.
