MCCS has also connected this mother to area resource to assist with additional furniture items that may be available.

The agency is in process of reunifying a family. The family is in need of 3 twin beds for their children ages 8, 13, and 3 (two boys and one girl). They will also need appropriate bedding.

One of the barriers our families often face is not being able to afford to put their students into school sports due to the cost associated. This student has expressed to mom that he wants to play football and attend football camp this summer and Mom really wants to support him in this decision but cannot financially. This student has made great strides academically this year and wants to try something new. A loving grandparent has been caring for her 8-year-old granddaughter that was recently attacked by a dog back in March 2025, which caused her granddaughter to lose an eye. The child has undergone surgeries and multiple doctor's visits to get the treatment she needs. Grandmother is trying to work as many hours as possible but with the many trips to appointments she has only been able to work a day or two a week. This is causing her to lose the income that she is used to living on and falling behind on her expenses. Currently she is behind two months on rent ($750/month), two months on her car loan ($659/month), her AES is $374, and her CenterPoint is behind at $300. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
