Foster mom has anywhere between 3 and 5 teenagers in her home at any given time. She works will all of her placements on independent living skills to include helping them get jobs and extra curriculars. Currently she has a 13 year old and 16 year old girl that would really benefit from bikes. The 16 year old is currently walking about a mile each way for work and a bike would significantly help in maintain this job. Additionally, the 16 year old helps watch the 13 year old over school breaks so a bike for each girl would be used during this time. Their foster mom has paid for them to have a gym membership that is within biking distance but she is not always available to transport them. Thank you!

The youth is waiting for a residential placement. He enjoys reading novels and joke books and would like some books to keep him busy while he waits for placement.

Hello! I have a family that is struggling to make ends meet since they financially helped their extended family flee an unsafe and dangerous situation in Afghanistan to come to the US to live with them. The dad is driving for Door Dash to help supplement some income, but they are still struggling, as they are helping to feed an additional 2 children and 2 adults on top of their own 3 children. This family would really appreciate the help with a King Soopers card to be able to buy groceries. Thank you!

Hello, The family is requesting a visa gift card to fund summer programs for the children. There are three children in the home and $500 visa gift card will be able to fund all three children participating in local sporting clubs/events. Ultimately, the enrollment and participation in the activities will connect the children to positive peers supports outside of the home and overall improve their wellbeing. The family is currently experiencing homelessness and is actively working with support services to secure stable, permanent housing. The mother is in urgent need of assistance with vehicle registration and a gas card. Her vehicle is essential for transporting her son to critical medical appointments and ensuring her child can attend school consistently. The children are unable to obtain more belongings from the home and had limited clothes with them when they were placed. Grandparents are retired and on a fixed income. They have been doing laundry daily so the children have clean clothes, but this is not sustainable and will impact utilities. Family is requesting assistance with clothing for the children.

Caseworker is working with a family who is currently going through a separation. They were evicted from their apartment and Dad is currently renting a room through a coworker and is having a difficult time getting on his feet. He is requesting a gift card to help with gas in getting to work each day or with food to help with groceries for himself as he is spending his current extra money on being able to take his children places when he sees them. Dad is gainfully employed but is between paychecks at the moment and has been struggling financially, especially with the sudden move. Giftcards to grocery stores, gas stations, or Visa gift cards would be appreciated in helping him get a little support under his feet while he navigates this new normal.

I'm working with a mom who has recently gotten out of a 6 month rehab program and is working to get back on her feet. She has three kids who are placed with family. Mom was accepted into a program to help with housing and she recently moved into an apartment. Prior to entering rehab, she lost most of her belongings and her house was sold. She is starting over and trying to slowly put her home together so it is suitable for her, and eventually the kids. Some of her major needs are bedding (sheets, fitted sheets, pillow cases), bath towels, and dishes (she mentioned drinking glasses would be helpful). Anything would be appreciated so she can focus on getting back into a routine, save money, and work towards reunification with her kids.

I am working with twins who are fifteen. They reunified with their biological mother after her rights were terminated thirteen years ago. The twins were adopted when their mother's rights were terminated and their adoptive parents cognitive ability/health has declined which led to their removal. Since reunifying with the biological mom, she has been working to financially support the twins plus herself and two other kids she has in the home. It has been a challenge for her, but she has been a stable support and placement for the kids. One of the twins, who is a male, has recently gotten into heavy metal music and expressed he'd like to take up guitar. He used to play and lost his guitar when he was removed and their parents were evicted. Bio mom cannot afford to purchase him a guitar, but is also hopeful to support him in his love for music and want to learn the instrument. He has showed me a few electric guitars he'd like if this request is met. Additionally, bio mom just had to spend a large sum of money to have her car repaired. She is requesting financial assistance to help with basic needs, clothing, and groceries. Her preference is a Walmart card as that is the closest option.

This family is here through Asylum after fleeing their country. They have faced several hardships while here seeking safety but have been working hard to meet their family's needs while staying within the bounds of what they are legally required to do to continue to be granted asylum. Dad has been working extremely hard to take care of his family of 6, and mom was recently authorized to begin work, which will benefit the family. However, most of their funds go towards their basic nutrition needs and dad cannot find work right now because his previous job was seasonal. Additionally, one of the children has faced mental health challenges resulting from being the victim of a crime here in the US, which has led to emotional and financial stress for the family. The family was recently asked to leave where they've been staying at no fault of their own. They are temporarily moving into a small apartment with a friend but have no furniture or bedding. They would greatly benefit from a blender, griddle, sheets, blankets, pillows, suitcases, storage bins, or even a small dresser. ANY help at all towards this request would greatly benefit this family while they continue navigating employment, the legal immigration system, language barriers, etc., even if the entire request is not met.

This family has been able to find a stable living situation, and were able to sort out an agreement with their landlord to pay only the rent, and have 6 months to pay the security deposit of $2600. This family is still in desperate need of furniture, specifically dressers and mattresses. However, they are no longer needing suitcases or bedding at this time.
