I am requesting assistance to help a young adult who is 18 years old and in foster care. He has been accepted to a university, and will be moving to his first Supervised Independent Living placement (SIL) College dorm outside of Houston. This is his first home that he will live in independently after living in foster homes. He is currently in his last semester of high school and expects to graduate in the end of May 2025. He is currently unemployed and has been diligently applying to part time jobs to help him cover his cost of living. He is in need of assistance of purchasing a mini fridge, school supplies (pens, binder, etc.), Tupperware, first aid kit, umbrella, shower cady for his dorm. Any assistance he would be grateful. The mother is employed full-time and is also pursuing her college education. While they have secured a new apartment, they are currently facing challenges in acquiring furniture. The mother is specifically requesting beds for her children. Additionally, the family is experiencing financial difficulties due to the apartment deposit. They would greatly benefit from a gift card for laundry services and some hygiene products. Any assistance at this time would be immensely appreciated, as the mother is dedicated to stabilizing her family's situation and providing for her children independently.

A mother is currently navigating a difficult situation following the recent deportation of her husband, which has resulted in significant financial strain for her and her two sons. Although she is employed, the shared financial responsibilities with her husband have become overwhelming since his deportation in March. She has been making efforts to manage the household bills but is now behind on her rent.

To address her housing situation, she has applied to a different apartment complex where the rent is income-based and received approval for a new unit at a monthly rate of $875. However, she recently made a payment of $600 toward her current rent to avoid eviction.

The mother is seeking financial assistance to facilitate her move to the more affordable apartment, allowing her to maintain stable housing for herself and her children. Securing this apartment would significantly alleviate the financial burden they are experiencing and provide a more stable environment for her sons. The emotional challenges resulting from her husband's deportation have been substantial, and obtaining affordable housing would greatly reduce stress for the family.

This family is in desperate need of assistance for an exterminator, as there is an infestation of bed bugs in the bedroom. The family, two grandparents and two children (5 years old and an older sibling), are currently under facing a financial hardship due to the grandmother recently going through a serious surgery. The grandfather is physically limited and is unable to work. Due to that, they are unable to gather the entire funds to obtain an exterminator to solve the bed bug issue. We are asking for money to put forth for an exterminator. All donations are welcomed.

The 15 year old teen boy is currently living with his great-aunt. He is a shy and kind boy who is always so excited when he gets to visit with his young siblings. He enjoys being on the football team and is currently practicing for basketball for next year. He has had issues with aggression and angry outbursts in the past and he has worked very hard to have no issues so far this whole school year. He has asked for a piano (electric and either mid-sized or full size) and a guitar. He would be happy with used or new items. The piano was his first choice but he would like both items if possible.
