DCCCA has been working with a family and is getting ready to pass services on to another provider who will work with reunifying children and parents. As a step in that process, the family needs to order birth certificates for two of the children in order to obtain housing. DCCCA would like to help the parents secure the certificates and begin working on obtaining stable housing before their case closes in the next few weeks. If you are able to assist in covering this cost to help these parents as they take steps to be able to have their children back to their home, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
Maternal grandmother is the placement provider for two children in Children's Division custody and the guardian of two other children who live in the home. Mother of two needs assistance with rent and has been warned that if she does not make payment, an eviction will be filed. Mother was working but after being assaulted by her abusive paramour, she was placed in the hospital for a week and was fired by her job. She has been using her savings but has run out. Mother does not have a relative resource and needs the rent assistance to keep a secure home away from her ex-paramour.
Children's Division is asking for help to help a mother with transportation to get to and from appointments, visits with her child and court. Children's Division would request donation be made in the form of an Uber or Lyft card.
The Jackson County Children's Division is needing a twin bed and a platform bedframe for a child in our care. This child is five-years-old and he is currently living with his aunt, two cousins, and sister. They just moved into a larger home for all five of them to have room to grow and thrive. Four beds are a lot to purchase all at once so we are asking for community help for the children that are in our care. This is an urgent need as the children are currently and will continue to sleep on air mattresses in the meantime. Any help with fulfilling this request would be very appreciated.
We are asking for help with a twin size mattress and twin size platform bedframe.

Mother and father with 4 children ages 2-15 living in a 2 bedroom apartment with limited space. The father has just recently been able to work more hours due to work being seasonal. This mother and father are in need of a new bed and two youngest children as well who are sleeping in same room. The bed size need for parents is a queen. The 2yr old daughter and 8 yr old son would appreciate a twin bunk bed. Currently they are sleeping in a small toddler bed each. These beds will provide personal space for each child.
The family is also in need of a livingroom sofa and chair. This could be either a sofa and loveseat or sofa and chair. The family is not picky. Currently they have no sofa.
Thank you for considering to help this family as the oldest child begins therapy and the other children assist parents with language barrier while attending school.
John:
I will need all the details for adults (names, FULL address, phones, emails), children (ages & genders). I will put in the request, then make arrangements for delivery.
Two active and bright kiddos ages two and six have been placed in the care of their aunt for almost two years now. During that time their aunt has taken them in to her home and provided them with a safe, loving and stable home. The aunt is a single mom of four children of her own and has now taken on the responsibility of two additional kids. She has opened up her heart and home to allow her niece and nephew a chance to be with family instead of the children being placed in separate homes. With a total of six children in the home that range from ages 2-18 things are a little tight and the aunt needs help to provide things for them at times. The family is in need of two tall dressers to help keep the children’s clothes in. They are asking for the tall dressers that has at least 5 drawers due to limited space in the bedrooms. If you are able to help out with this need it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Single mother with two children who is disabled and on a very limited income. Last September she had surgery and was out of work. At that time she worked with various agencies including CarePortal to assist with her rent and utilities. Since then, she has been doing a great job at paying her rent and utilities in a timely manner. On January 1st her lease was renewed and the landlord let her know that they were using a new system called "simple bills" and that all of her utilities would be transferred into the management company's name allowing her to pay utilities in one lump payment. In January she reached out to the landlord because she had not received any bills for utilities. The landlord let her know that they were in the process of consolidating her bills and she would hear something soon. On March 13th she received a bill that included all of her utilities for January and February that is due on April 3rd. She was not expecting such a large bill. The total amount due is $841.54. Mom is asking for one time assistance to get caught up. She believes that now that she understands how the new billing works, she will be able to manage it much like she has in the past several months. Since "simple bills" does not accept payment arrangements of any kind mom is at risk of service interruptions. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! I can provide copies of bills to see the breakdown as well as the acct# for "simple bills" to make payment if approved.

This family experienced a house fire in August that displaced them from their home. This family of 7 have been living in transitional housing and with family members over the last several months. They officially moved into their new place and are needing assistance with furniture items. Providing these items will allow for this family to finally settle into their new place. Twin bedding is for a boy.
2nd queen is not needed--met with family and measured room. Bunk will be best fit as added below. But can't delete second queen mattress and box as the others were funded.

Ordering a twin over full bunk with pull out trundle as the kiddos room is super small. This way all children have a bed!
We have an 11 month old child who is at a local children's hospital due to significant physical abuse, that is ready to discharge to a relative. The hospital feels that the child will need a " Sitter baby cry signaler, alarm clock receiver bed vibrator combo" for the child to be successful in the relative placement. Due to the abuse, the child has been met with multiple physical and developmental challanges. We feel that this device will be helpful for the child, and want to make the relative placement successful so the child can be placed with their twin. The device is $150.
the device can be ordered and sent to the Worker at Jackson County Children's Division.
