She is trying to potty train the child and is requesting a potty chair (not a toilet seat for the toilet), training panties size 2T/3T and summer clothing sized 3T. Good afternoon! I am requesting community assistance to support a pregnant older youth on my caseload and help get her Laptop for professional and educational use. My youth in question is 19 and in care of the MO Children's Division. She is presently living in a transitional apartment program in Kansas City and working on how to live and work independently. My youth works part time and is wanting to apply for new jobs specifically ones that involve the ability to work from home and in order to work from home she must have a decent computer. Given my youth's limited financial means we are asking for community support to help with obtaining a laptop my youth can use to apply for jobs, complete work from home, and eventually use for college schoolwork. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

We are in need to re-stock multiple items in our food pantry, and are seeking your support with items needed for families. DCCCA families who are currently houseless, are in dear need for the following items: Protein items, such as 10 packets of chicken nuggets, 6 packages of tights/drum sticks, 8 small packages of ground beef, 10 packages of hot dogs, 5 bags of apples, 5 bags of mandarin oranges, 5 boxes of ramen, 5 bags of frozen veggies, and 4 boxes of hot packets. Other items needed are baby wipes, and mac & cheese. All of these items are essential for those struggling with food insecurities, your help will make a huge impact among the families we will distribute these to. Two small children that have been in custody for a couple of months are disrupting from their foster placement this weekend and KVC has last minute been able to approve a relative placement. The home is in need of one 5 point harness car seat and two mattresses and bed frames(two twins or one twin and one toddler). These children will move likely on Sunday or Monday and while the relative can borrow the car seat for a week or so to go with the one they already have they will be giving up their bed for the kids to sleep in until we are able to locate beds for the children. Any assistance is appreciated, and the placement has a truck and is willing to pickup the beds from anywhere in the KC metro area on Sunday or Monday.

Sleepyhead Beds downtown has graciously offered a twin mattress and toddler mattress for the relative placement and another donor has provided a twin bed frame. The home now only needs a toddler bed frame and one five point harness car seat for a toddler.

Mom has just got her daughter back in the home after being placed with dad for a while. The family has been through a lot of trauma. Mom is struggling to maintain food and utilities in the home. She is needing help with getting food and paying her utility bill.

This will help to alleviate concerns of feeding and nourishing the child. Making sure she can have access to food every day.

Asking for a $200 gift card for food and help paying utility bill.

I would like to advocate for a young mother who has recently escaped a domestic violence situation. It is crucial that she receives soy-based formula for her baby, as other formulas provided by Children’s Division could cause adverse reactions, including rashes. This mother is facing significant challenges in supporting herself and her child, and we are actively working to secure her a place in a domestic violence shelter. Your understanding and support in providing the necessary formula would make a meaningful difference in their lives during this difficult time.

We have a parent working on maintaining sobriety. She is currently struggling with regular transportation, and all other resources have been exhausted. Client is seeking support in transportation costs to maintain regular attendance for treatment meetings and random UAs.

Client doesn’t live in an area that buses serve and is not in a physical condition to walk to a bus stop.

Family with 3 kids is currently homeless and is in need of funds to stay an extra week at their current motel or else they will be forced to leave by tomorrow at 11:30 am.

Family needs a couple items picked up from Sleepyhead beds. This would include a mattress.

I have been working with a great grandmother, who has a 17-year-old female that has been placed with her for over a year. The grandmother lives on social security. She was living in income-based housing but recently had to move, as the apartment complex became dangerous. People were breaking in and the complex had issues with bed bugs, rodents and cockroaches. The grandmother found other housing and recently just moved in. She did not take many of her items, as she did not want to bring any bugs to her new home. This grandmother has guardianship of another female child and babysits her two grandchildren all day, five days a week, for free so their mother can work and attend college. She is a blessing to everyone she knows and is always positive. She is a wonderful woman, and we are hoping we can give her a little help in the form of a gift card to Walmart or some way to purchase brand new bedding, towels or any other items she may need. The whole amount does not need to be filled. She would be appreciative of any amount given. Thank you for all you do!

This is a single mother of two, one 8-year-old and one baby. She is currently living in a situation of domestic violence and trying to get a place of her own. They live in an apartment now. Two weeks ago, police were called to their apartment. She has located a house in Raytown, and she can pay the deposit of $1250 but needs some extra help with the first month's rent which is $1400. Her parents will help her out until she can get on her feet. She currently lives on disability and child support, but being free of this person, she feels like she can get a job to support herself and the children.

Family needs financial support due to unexpected life changes. One of the parents has recently become unavailable, and family has lost a source of income. Patient has medical complexities and has multiple monthly medical appointments that further add to the financial strain on the family. Patient will eventually need surgery and helping the family with financial needs will allow for parent to maintain patient's care without worrying about current financial concern.
