Dallas County Permanency Court Judge Gonzales has 15 youth who have never been adopted graduating from high school this year. Some are going to college, some are staying in extended care, and some are going into the work force. We would like to provide each of them with “Launch Baskets” to support them as they enter adulthood without family supports. Each launch basket will be tailored to each youth’s specific situation and preferences and will include a Bible and items such as new bedding, kitchen and cleaning supplies, and gift cards. A single mother with 4 children is in need of 2 bunk beds. The children were sleeping on air mattress and are no longer in good condition. Any help would be appreciated.

The father (44) of two of the children was murdered and he was going to buy the girls new beds and dressers. Currently, they are sleeping on a thin mattresses on the floor in the bedroom. There is no bedroom furniture.

I Am a single parent that has two daughters that currently attend DISD. Prayers to all, I am in need of serious help with my rent this month, unfortunately I only have one source of income right now to help provide for me and my two daughters and my granddaughter,
I recently lost my mother on the 19th of March and finally was able to lay her to rest on the 14th of April, she is who I would go to for help, I have good girls, they are in need of assistance and resources socially and emotionally as well, i thank God for the school and the help they try to provide, we are a family in desperate need at this time. This family is a single parent low-income household with two intellectually and developmentally disabled children that need constant care and attention from the parent. Mother is unable to have a full-time job to have the financial ability to provide the adequate furniture that is needed in the home. Mother does not have a lot of support from the community and the school has not been favorable of the mother which limits her access to resources. Medical care for the children is expensive and she pays for it out of pocket and her family helps her financially to pay the bills for the home.

Family is need of temporary housing, mother is currently living with her child inside of her vehicle. Child is 3 yo. Mother has been displaced an is in need of temp housing for herself, child, and dog for 2 weeks until she is able to move. mother is also in need of a car battery for a 2014 Jeep Patriot

The child is 15yo in 9th grade. The family moved from Irving to Dallas and He was no longer able to get to school in Irving. The local school in Dallas requires uniforms with the school logo and the mother is unable to afford. The child is in men sizes.

Single mother is caring for 8 children. Mother is requesting 4 bunk beds and a table with 4 chairs. Children were sleeping on air mattress but no longer in good sleeping condition. Having their own bed will help children have their own sleeping space. Any assistance is appreciated.

Single mom with 8 children is requesting assistance with obtaining a new/used dryer. She reported it takes almost an entire day for the clothes to dry and there are 9 people total living in the home, making it difficult for her to be caught up on laundry.

Low-income single mom is requesting assistance with obtaining 2 mattresses for her younger children. They are all currently co-sleeping on 1 bed. The Department can provide air mattresses, but we are hoping for a more long-term solution.

This family consists of a rambunctious 2-year-old, mom, and unborn baby sibling. The family is in need of a washer and dryer for the home which will help mom in carrying out important household needs for the family as they grow in size.

Upon completing a home visit, CM noticed that there was no furniture in the family's living room and one of the bedrooms was completely empty. Our current client, a 16-year-old girl, shares a queen size bed between 2 other family members, while her caregiver sleeps on the floor. The family has 1 adult currently working while the other is forced to stay home and care for their 8-month-old baby boy. The family is financially limited as to how much they can spend. Our client needs her own bed to have a little bit more space and privacy.
