This set of grandparents could use the community's assistance with a washer and dryer. Their washer and drier gave out unexpectedly and they just received placement of their grandson. Thank you in advance for being a blessing to a kinship family in need.

We have a 60 year old grandmother who is asking for a used refrigerator to help store the families food and medications. The grandmother is diabetic and take 3 forms of insulin, one type 4 times a day, one type at night, and the last for once a week. The medications that are stored take up most if not all the door space used for storage. This grandmother is trying to raise 5 grandkids, 3 girls ages 10,11, and 13, as well as 2 boys ages 4 and 9. She get no support from the biological parents and receives no child support for the kids as well. This would help save on food and medicine waste since she would have a p[lace to store all her needs without worry as to whether the items would spoil, especially as we enter the hot summer months.

Bio mother and her boyfriend live with 12yo male, 11yo female and 9yo male. The home's electricity was turned off in the AM on 5/20/2025. After many calls to CPS Energy, the adults were advised that they needed to pay $560, then they would be placed on a payment plan. The total the parents owe in electricity is over $3000. Mother's boyfriend is working at McDonalds, and mother stays at home with the children. The family's vehicle is no longer working preventing mom from working, who was doing door dash.

The 12yo male is experiencing many mental health issues, and it is reported that that is where much of the family's finances are going. The mother is trying to see if paternal grandmother can take the children until the electricity is turned back on. Paternal grandmother is protective, and at one point was placement for the younger children.

Household is single mother with 2 children - 4yo F and 2y F and a safety plan monitor. Mother just lost her job, and is actively looking for new employment. Mother currently does not have transportation, and was unable to use Lyft or Uber due to not having car seats.

Carseats are being provided to the family, but due to the mother not having a job, she is behind on rent. Rent Cost as of right now with late fee’s is $213.40 (may increase if the apartment complex adds another late fee). Electricity is also behind at $240.78. The mother will reach out to CPS Energy to make payment plans, but would to be caught up on both payments, if possible.

hello i have 3 children that was placed in a kinship placement that has 2 kids of her own and one on the way. the 3 children are needing beds and a dresser. one of the kinship children is needing a bed also.

A single mother of 3 children ages 5, (male) 6 (female) and 7-year-old (male)needs help with providing a safe sleep place for her children. The children do not have beds. Mother has been on a wait list for housing and the children are all in need of beds and bedding.

We have 2 siblings in care and are enrolled in a safety plan for mom to have custody. Currently the two (female, age 5), (female, age 3) and mother all share a bed. The family is unable to afford a set of bunk beds that would be needed to provide a separate sleeping space for each of the children. Bunkbeds would help out the mom with having the children sleep safely. Any donation would be appreciated.

Caregiver has her 3 grandkids recently placed with her, B age 12, F age 4, and B age 1. The grandmother has significant financial insecurity and needs immediate help to get diapers for the baby and food for the children so that the children's physical needs can be met while kinship stipend is being processed. A gift card for groceries and diapers/wipes (size 4 boy) is being requested. Thank you.

family of 4 is needing assistance with beds. 16 year old boy, 9 year old girl and 5 year old boy. Mom is a single mom who can use the support at this time.

Child is a 6 month old currently with biological family and there is an urgent need for an appropriate sleeping area for the child as the family expresses financial inability to provide the needed playpen/ bassinet that would be appropriate for safe sleep

We have a 74 year old grandmother who is raising her 3 grandchildren, a boy age 16, a girl age 15, and another boy age 13. She has raised these 3 grandchildren for about 8 years when the children's mother brought them to the grandparents home for spring break and never returned to pick them up. The grandmother has legally adopted them, but does not receive any monthly monies or funds from the state to support these kids. She makes about $4200 a month which includes social security and retirement benefits from her and deceased husband accounts. She would like to request 1 set of twin bunk beds for the boys as the current set is old, dilapidated, falling apart , and the boys have outgrown the beds.

2/13/24 spoke with Tim Son and Ernesto Flores regarding bed request. Initial bed request was for 1 twin sized bunk bed to include all linens. Upon further review, the initial bed delivery was declined because of the size of the boys, one being 6'2", the other being overweight and both Tim and Ernest thought that the beds they were to deliver would not support the boys over time. Ernie is in Houston, TX for the weekend and is scouting around for a heavier, sturdier bunk bed to purchase for the boys. He will keep me updated when/if they find something.
