Two parents have worked extremely hard to get their baby back. They have done extraordinarily well. Income is tight, and they ride bikes to get where they need to go. A bike buggy to assist them in taking the baby with them would be super helpful. The child has been back in the home for a few months and is doing so well with his parents. Again a new or used bike buggy (they have bikes) would be fantastic to helping them.

We are currently working with a mom who has found a stable home for her and her two kids (ages 1 and 5). She was approved for the home, but just needs help with her deposit so she can move in as soon as as possible. Mom just returned home from completing her out-of-state treatment, so does not have the ability to come up with the deposit in the time needed. She is needing assistance with the large deposit of $500. This home means a lot to her. It will allow her to have a stable place to reside while she secures a job that gives her a steady, reliable income and allows for her to maintain the home. She is looking forward to engaging in the rest of her services and is hopeful to being reunified with her children. If you feel that you can assist in any way, even partially, I would be happy to connect you to mom.

Parent in need of financial assistance paying for a required assessment on the ISP treatment plan. Family recently started a new job and is working to catch up on some bills. Completion of this assessment is one of the final barriers limiting the family from moving forward with reunification. Parents have been engaged in other services on their treatment plans and continue to make behavioral progress. Family is also in need of fuel cards to help with the cost of gas for family time visitation, completion of ISP assessment, and court hearing. The family has been very appreciative of the support they have received to date and appear to be making progress toward financial stability.

Mom left Colorado with her three young children about 18 months ago, trying to get away from an abusive situation. After living in their car for a while, someone gave them a trailer to live in, where they only needed to pay lot rent. The trailer was full of junk, and in a state of disrepair, but Mom has worked hard, and managed to make the trailer safe for the children, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Mom has a car that wasn't running, so she scraped together money to buy a truck, but the head gasket blew on the way home. That has been repaired, but the truck is not in the least bit reliable. No transportation makes it impossible to find steady employment, and now her oldest son has broken two limbs (school playground mishap), and he will need to be transported to doctor's appointments. She has swallowed her pride, and asked for help from neighbors, but if she could get some assistance with repairs around the house, and reliable transportation, it would mean the world to her.

Single mom and 15 year old daughter live together and are struggling financially. They have been without power due to not being able to pay their bill. Mom is struggling to find work but at this time cannot afford to pay to have the electric turned back on. Helping this family will ensure the child's quality of daily living.

We have a foster parent who stepped up when a placement was desperately needed for a hard to place teenager. Our kiddo, when placed, was excited to tell the worker that he had a homemade meal for the first time in a long time! This foster parent has not been fully approved and has an issue with the gas bill. After taking care of our custody child without payment, the foster mom went ahead and took placement of the sibling. These two had not lived together since coming into custody two years ago! The foster parent has gone beyond the call of duty, even spending time at the hospital with our teenager while he had open heart surgery and did all the follow up requirements after the surgery that included him having to have an oxygen tank. This foster mom has helped these kiddos so much, please help us to now help her.

Heather:
If a TWIN bed would work, I have that to give, and would be happy to get bedding and a mattress. But if they feel a toddler bed is better, I don't have that. Just let me know if they're interested in the TWIN.

Heather:
I can provide a twin bed, with a mattress and bedding, and get a fold away bed rail for this bed.
This mother has worked so diligently over the last year and successfully closed her DHS case. We are proud to say she has exceeded every expectation of DHS, her counselor, her team here at Pearl’s Hope, and her expectations for herself! She is a phenomenal mother to her toddler. It’s been a joy to watch her adjust along with her child’s development and continue to learn new parenting skills. This summer, she completed her training to become an electrician apprentice, obtained a job, and has been saving money to move to her own home! She is able to pay all of her upfront moving costs but she does not have quite enough saved for furniture.

Loving kinship placement is in need of help obtaining a fire extinguisher to ensure safety for a seven month old, and to meet policy requirements as a foster home. The foster mother lives off of retirement therefore income is limited. Thank you so much in advance for helping this family in need!

Please help a biological mother with gas funds to transport and visit her child. The mother has her own transportation and she has a job. She also has a home with normal bills and expenses but the cost of gas to visit her daughter is exhausting her each week. The mother has a 2 hour drive twice a week to visit her daughter and she has managed to not miss a visit so far. A little help with this can go a long way and potentially put the money towards more activities they can do during the visit.

Mother was recently reunified with her two daughters, ages 9 and 6, and has enrolled them into school that is requiring uniforms when in attendance. Mother has also recently gotten her own place with her daughters and funds are tight at the moment. She has been able to get two uniforms per child but would like to have a couple of extras. The 9 y/o is in a size 8 and the 6 y/o is in the size 5-6. The color of the tops recommended are red, white, or blue with khaki bottoms.

A mother and a father recently had a baby boy come into custody. They are involved in services and have already initiated drug testing and substance abuse treatment. They have a car, but cannot get it tagged due to fines from late toll payments. Until they can pay off the fines, they are without transportation. We are asking for a bus pass for each parent so they can get to their services and court hearings. This would provide a practical need and remove a barrier to working toward reunification. Thank you for all the wonderful help you provide!

Kinship family with sibling group, 4(m) & 14(f) year old. The 4 year old is an awesome kid with high energy who loves his sister. He is interested in soccer and would like to play. Program cost is around $120.00 each 8 week season. If anyone knows a soccer team/club they would like to recommend, that would be awesome! You are greatly appreciated.

I have a father on my caseload who is working hard to be reunified with his 2 children, ages 3 and 5. He is having some financial struggles right now and trying to get back on his feet so he is in a better place to provide for the children. One of the children has a lot of doctor appointments coming up due to a chronic health condition. Dad has attended most of the children's doctor appointments and took off work. Dad has been allowed to have unsupervised visits but is in need of car seats to transport the children. Any help is greatly appreciated.
