We have a single mother who is engaged in an intensive voluntary DHS case. She has been looking for employment. She found a job and was given a provisional job offer, but she needs a laptop and a printer. Client is only open to a new laptop, as she wants to ensure reliability for work and that it doesn't have any one else's personal information is on the laptop. She is open to a used printer. Walmart has windows laptops starting around $200. Wireless printers are about $55. Please be aware many newer models of laptops do not have USB ports, so a wireless printer may be needed. Client has looked into community resources and unfortunately, many grants have ended and therefore there are not programs available. The mother would like to accept the job offer by 5/14/25. So, this is a urgent need.

A mother of three (boys 6 and 4, girl 3) is unemployed and cannot keep her phone turned on. She cannot stay in touch with her treatment providers and is unable to communicate with her family time supervisor. This is impacting her ability to find better work, stay engaged with her children, and work towards reunification. A phone card would be so helpful to this mom and would help her stay on top of changing schedules and reunite her family. Thank you for your generosity!

A mother and father of 5 children, ages 5, 2, 1, and a set of 4 month old twins that were born prematurely, are in desperate need of grocery assistance. The family moved here from Michigan about 6 months ago and 4 months ago, the twins were born prematurely. Mom is unable to work at this time, so they are extremely tight for money and food insecurity is becoming a greater concern. Caseworker is requesting assistance to help support a newly single mother trying to gain financial independence and support her two children (aged 11 and 15). Mother works very hard but is still struggling to get the necessities that are needed when raising two growing boys. Mom recently completed 30 days in rehab and is now trying to find work. She is very stressed about food insecurities and has days that she can only eat one meal a day. Mom would also like to be able to bring food to visits with the children, but does not have the means to do so at this time. A $250 walmart card or King Soopers card would allow her to get groceries for a couple of weeks while she continues her search for employment. A mother of a 6 yr old girl, who is placed with kin in Colorado Springs, is expected to be released from jail in Georgia on 5/10/2025 and will be returning to Colorado Springs on 5/12/2025. She has a bed reserved in Sober Living so she will have a safe place to stay. Due to having no job, she does not yet have the means to pay for her first month. A visa gift card in the amount of $450 would assist her to ensure the first month is paid as she begins her journey towards sobriety and ultimately, reunification with her daughter, who is on the autism spectrum and non-verbal. Two children ages 9 and 11 were placed in the care of their cousin. Their cousin also has a 15 year old child of their own. The family recently moved into a new home and are struggling financially so, they are not able to purchase groceries for the household. Hello, I have a mother on my caseload that just passed her 1 year sober milestone! She is employed for the first time in many years and is looking at getting her own apartment after living in sober living. she has some applications in at different apartment communities and is close on one but will need $500 to help with the first payment to get the keys. She is working and taking some college courses online and is confident that she will be able to make the payments moving forward. Any help towards this would be greatly appreciated! A dedicated foster mom has just welcomed a new placement into her home and is in need of a dresser. The child arrived with more clothing than expected, and additional storage is needed. Two and three year old children are living with their aunt while their mother, who lives in her car, works toward getting herself together. Ana is terrified of the dark as a result of her experiences with her mother. Aunt is wonderful but is struggling to provide for the girls. Currently Ana sleeps on a mattress on the floor. She needs a toddler bed and some bed linens. Any help that aunt can get would help strengthen the family.
